custom usb lightshow doesn't work on m3 highland

Zartas | 2025-12-22 17:56 | 21 views

Just bought a new model 3 highland, I've tried to download a custom lightshow but I can't seem to make it work on my vehicle. The folder location and name seems to be correct, according to chatgpt the model 3 highland doesn't yet support custom shows, but I can't find any confirmation online on any forums. I also suspect that the show I downloaded might be for other models or older versions but I'm not sure, anyone have any experience? Thanks

According to [the official GitHub](https://github.com/teslamotors/light-show) repository: Must **not** contain a base-level TeslaCam folder. The TeslaCam folder is present on your drive.

Indeed, needs to be a different USB, not the Dashcam one.

I guess multiple partitions on one physical drive should suffice as well.

This is what I do. 1 drive with 2 partitions.
