I got a pretty good deal on potential trade-in thru carvana on my 3. Same year, approximately 30k miles more than you @15k
Edit: re-read, just saw the part about not taking them with you

This one actually means something to me if I was planning to sell the vehicle and not drive it to the ground…

The Tesla still has warranty coverage for another 70k and 5 years. There are some 84 billion Camrys driving around… not sure I trust the AI on that one.
Kelley blue book says the Camry is worth $14,800 and the Tesla is worth $17,300.

I don't like when people ask me to guess but then tell me the answer before I can do it.

Just for fun, since I have chat gpt in my phone, I asked the same thing.
2016 Toyota Camry (Base, ~70k miles)
~$11,000 – $15,000
Typical private sale listings for similar Camrys are in roughly this range. Prices vary by trim/condition/location, and many listings average around ~$13k – $15k.
2022 Tesla Model 3 RWD (~50k miles)
~$22,000 – $26,000+
Private party estimates for 2022 Model 3s are generally in the low-to-mid ~$20k range, with better-condition ones approaching upper $20ks.
What numbers did your chat GPT give you? I used the private party numbers since you have to sell them both.

Cant be true.
I drive a 2017 Rav4 Limited with 100,000KM. Looking to trade for a 2022 Model 3, and similar (high mileage for a 3 year old car) would cost me $5K CAD out of pocket

Ok let’s look at this another way. The Toyota Camry cost $23,840 in 2016. The 2022 Tesla cost $40,000. Over 9 years the Toyota lost $6k or about $666 per year. The Tesla lost $22,000 in 4 years. Or about $5.5k per year.

Covid pricing doesn't help the comparison --My 2023 RWD, bought brand new in December of that year was 34K before tax incentives.

Warranty on the battery yes. But my car has both trunk and frunk leaks. The service tried to fix the trunk leak twice without success. Now if I take in the car out of warranty (50k) they want to charge me $350.00

$350 that’s like 3 oil changes you didn’t need, but were required in the Camry
