Advice for snow trip

Snow tires are a must. Other than that, use the built in map as it’ll update the chargers to use if you need more or less energy depending on driving habits, temperature and other factors. Make use of the energy app on the car as it’ll update shows you real time energy usage and projections about the rest of the trip

Good news for you is it hasn’t been snowing much. If it’s snowing anything more then 4-5 inches, stay home. To clarify *Having all-seasons in the snow is the problem here, most all-seasons are made for low rolling resistance and ABSOLUTELY not made to see any snow/ice. RWD actually gets around really good once you ditch the all-seasons. Cheap traction aids work great for city folk that plan one trip to the snow a year. But do your research. Trucks are the only ones using chains, cars should be using cables or a specialty item like spikes spider/konig k-summit, traction socks reportedly fail or fall off shortly after you put them on. Look for something that is specifically for minimal tire clearance situations. Since the traction aids go on your rear wheels you still won’t be able to stop or steer that well. Anyone who actually needs to get around in the winter uses snow/winter tires. Wish more folks knew this, idiot Americans think AWD/4x4 = invincible. They are the first ones in the ditch when it gets sloppy out. “Hey that money you saved not getting snow tires paid for the tow truck, good job buddy, you get a 🥇”.
