Installed some mud flappers.

This car has some soft paint. With only 16k miles, the edges on the rear bumper where it meets the fender looks like it’s been sand blasted. VW at least has some protection film in the areas where it gets blasted by road grime. I have some protective film coming in for the lower rear quarter panel, which also starting to look like hell. I did have to do some trimming of the mid flap to clear the edges of the rear diffuser. I do plan on putting some protective film where the mud flaps contact the painted parts of the body. Looks better than I thought. It would.

Did you put them under fender lockers? Lockers should be above them, so all dirt avoid sticking between locker and flaps

The rear fits over the lip of the rear bumper. It’s held on by one of the 10mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper and the outer push in rivet on the liner. The front is held in by the two push rivets on the bottom of the liner and a metal clip on the side of the fender.

I only had to modify them to clear the Maxton diffuser. No worries if your car is stock.

I have the same ones on my white M3P, looks great man! Also is that a rear diffuser?

It's a Maxton V1.

Ah I see. I was actually looking into a diffusor. How do you like it / how's install for a SUPER non mechanic?

It wasn’t all that hard to install, but you will have to be comfortable drilling into the rear splash pan. It would help to have a second person to assist in lining it up. I also used a heat gun to help the diffuser form a bit better to the bottom of the car. I followed a DIY found on YouTube. That got me 90% there.

Man I have a 2021 M3P this color. To me it doesn't get any cooler than this! Gj

If it’s not there already, consider putting PPF on the paint where the mud flaps make contact. I’ve seen some ugly paint wear on this subreddit when that’s not done.
