Honestly it depends if the speculation was correct that Tesla finance pre-purchased a number of cars to retroactively qualify for the tax credit which they could deduct on a lease. If that were the case then it could be an issue of running out of inventory that was eligible for the tax credit. There’s still a $6,500 credit being applied to leases currently.

Maybe…

You’ll get mixed answers all the time.
Place your order if you want it and hope delivery happens before the increase. Pick from in stock for quickest delivery.

Do you know if delivery has to occur before the price increase for the current pricing to be valid? If i order now and submit lease application before the increase, then vehicle gets delivered after the increase, what pricing will be honored?

Let’s put it a different way, when the federal tax credit expired- you had to pick up your vehicle prior to the expiration, didn’t matter if you already placed the order.
So I’d be prepared to pick it up prior to the expiration date when prices are set to go up.

Same was communicated to me. I ended up ordering. Last time when the rep said order as we are going OOS, he was true

Did you order from inventory or new?

Why won’t the auto mod let the word lease be used?

If OP is planning to purchase and is concerned, what’s the difference between today or next week? Assuming they’re set on purchasing it would be better to get it out of the way now as next week is a busy time even discounting what the rep said.

I have no idea, it blocked every post i tried to make with the word “lease” saying they aren’t financial advisors

Huh strange

I assume there’d be a lot of lease vs buy posts without the filter.

If you go to the website it says lease prices increase on December 19th. So he’s correct.

Delivery will need to be by Dec 31st.

Why Dec 31?

It’s the end of the year. Any incentives will be expiring if you don’t take delivery.

Here’s the exact answer:
“Must take delivery on or before December 31,2025. Vehicles delivered after December 31, 2025 will require a new application and subject to the then current leasing terms.”

Where did you get the 26th from? The website literally says prices go up the 19th.

They are always saying the price is going to increase. Reality of it is, they need to sell cars and there is no longer a tax credit.

They literally changed it a few hours after i posted this

Difference between today or next week is the possibility of a price increase.

New as none of the inventory fit what I needed. Essentially got a stock car. Bummed out that I couldn’t score any “free upgrade”

I meant if they’re set on getting a Tesla, then why bother asking here - just order it.
A week isn’t going to make a difference unless they’re on the fence.
