Is your tire pressure low?

ZealousidealExam640 2025-12-15 18:36

150 in Mad Max

JBORNS 2025-12-15 18:36

Yeah i was on the way to fill them during this haha

OnlyThePhantomKnows 2025-12-15 18:37

Speed limit 100Kph makes sense. Did they have a units flake?

JBORNS 2025-12-15 18:39

No idea, I’ve never had it on Kph. It was 100 for a solid 2 min before switching back

Thanks for sharing

Yeah mine frequently will show a speed limit 20-30 over what the sign actually said. And by frequently I mean about every 20-30 miles or so it will get a sign very wrong. But also it will often just change the speed limit even if we have no passed a sign. There is a specific section of the highway that drops to 55 and every single time FSD will read 55... Then at the 2nd 55 sign will slam down to 62 from 72. Then randomly in the middle of the section claim the new speed is 65 and speed up HARD to 72+ And I usually have to disable it everytime to get through this section. It has always acted odd in this section for the past year, but this has been the wildest set of bugs the past couple of months.

🤣🤣🤣

Comfortable-Mirror17 2025-12-15 19:09

Never had this happen... That is wild!

GasMysterious3386 2025-12-15 19:22

Google Maps do the exact same. Just read the signs on the road. No biggy.

MRapp86 2025-12-15 19:24

Listen here officer, Elon said the limit is a 100 dammit, why are you even pulling me over

Magnetic_Reaper 2025-12-15 19:29

you did select hurry for self-driving....

adorablefuzzykitten 2025-12-15 19:33

Mine jumped around unreliably in TX, where speed limits are often 85mph. It would jump between 85 and 55 on the same stretch of freeway all the time. Have not seen it do this in CA.

origosis 2025-12-15 19:40

Yeah I noticed it in areas where people tend to not obey the speed. But not always. There are some areas that drop to 55 and it obeys. But then others where it doesn't... and further others where it lies about the real speed limit like this. It has always done whatever it wanted. Probably keeping with the flow of traffic. But for the past say 4-5 months the fake speed limits has been regular.

crazypostman21 2025-12-15 19:41

Meanwhile mine says 35 speed limit on a 55 road, it sucks I can never use FSD.

p3dal 2025-12-15 19:52

Those little usb rechargeable pumps are a real life-saver.

Special-Ad-6555 2025-12-15 20:12

Yes, me to and I don't even have FSD, my autopilot always randomly decides the speed limit is 25, grrr

faisalfarooqui 2025-12-15 20:56

I had something similar happened to me yesterday on the highway where I was driving 75 and the speed limit was showing it was 10 mph.

I_am_just_here11 2025-12-15 20:57

65 mph is 105 kph though.

frowawayduh 2025-12-15 21:06

Why haven't I purchased FSD? #1 reason is wildly incorrect speed limits in enhanced autopilot and no functional means for getting them corrected. If they cannot get something basic like that worked out, why would anyone trust higher level autonomy?

word-dragon 2025-12-15 21:23

Are you on (or passing) route 100 perhaps? Much worse - I’ve had it drop to 30 on route 30.

adorablefuzzykitten 2025-12-15 21:58

Add a tire plug kit and you might not have to wait 4 hours for a tow.

Hot_Specific_1691 2025-12-15 22:10

I’ve had 100mph pop up a couple times not sure what triggers it.

Nullifyxdr 2025-12-15 23:30

That’s the equivalent limit though a lot of highways in Canada have a 100kph speed limit I’ve seen 110 no 105

NewbSoop 2025-12-16 00:42

I have this 'issue' too, I think one of my tpms died (driver side, rear) I think I'll just swap it out when I change from my winter tires next spring

EfficientMinimum5696 2025-12-16 02:02

Don’t forget. The recommended 42psi is measured when tires are cold.

RiverComplex1769 2025-12-16 02:18

Finally, I would not get nagged or struck out on the self driving. Where is the stretch of road so I can take advantage?

p3dal 2025-12-16 03:21

I don't have a jack, socket or breaker bar, so I'm not going to be able to do much with a tire plug kit. Any hole I can fix with a tire plug kit will be a slow enough leak that I can limp home just by filling the tire with air once or twice. I've patched many many tires with a tire plug kit, but I've never had to do it on the side of the road, and I wouldn't want to. I've also never had to wait 4 hours for a tow.

Lunkwill-fook 2025-12-16 03:24

You do have it set to hurry. Tesla is very literal

BasicHorror1157 2025-12-16 05:57

Mine likes to tell my the speed limit on a road by my work is 25 when it's 55

le-throw-away-acct 2025-12-16 06:29

Did you cross the Canadian border?

beanpoppa 2025-12-16 11:36

You have a 50% shot at being lucky and it's a front wheel. You can turn it so that the hole is facing out.

HarkonXX 2025-12-16 15:13

Speed limit of 100Kph in freeways is standart in spain, 120 Kph in highways. I don't see anything unusual

JBORNS 2025-12-16 15:16

This is the US and not in Kph.

HarkonXX 2025-12-16 15:18

Probably it read badly a sign

p3dal 2025-12-16 15:28

I could, but I wont. Somehow it's almost always the rear wheel. I'd much rather have the tire professionally repaired. Generally the nail holds air almost as well as the plug does, so I just leave it in until I can get to discount tire.

adorablefuzzykitten 2025-12-16 17:16

I carry a jack, hockey puck, and lug socket/breaker bar for this purpose, but I some times camp in locations without any cell phone coverage.

p3dal 2025-12-16 18:53

Unfortunately my Tesla’s range isn’t sufficient for me to get to many remote locations like that. For my gas car I do the same, and I even carry a spare.
