Got a Model 3, but...

I ordered a RWD Premium Dec 11, 2025. Atlanta area. They said 3-5 weeks for delivery. Started getting app notifications for sooner deliveries but none of the configurations matched. A few days later another notification and this time the configuration matched so I accepted the change.

I have not bought on yet but I heard that as long as you had it ordered the rep that you work with should be able to to get the same price that you had before the car comes in. As long as the delivery not happening is not an issue on your side. Financing or what have you. Perhaps someone can confirm this? I saw this on a YouTube so this could be a 1 off type of thing as well.

I'm sure it will be fine and I'll live and it's a 1st world problem. Just wanted to rant.

I did call my local tesla center and the guy confirmed new orders won't be here on time and to take inventory or he was about to search in my entire state as we have 3 centers for Tesla here. Once I'm driving it daily or it driving me that will melt away but it's still a bummer.

Yeah i ordered Dec 1 and the estimated delivery window just keeps getting pushed lol. Idk wen I’ll take delivery

Just buy a set of rims oem or even aftermarket which you could get a better looking rim

I'd call your local tesla center. My guy said you lose out on incentives if that's why you ordered. Have to change to something in their inventory and guarantee delivery by 12/31.

Definitely would be more into after market parts if I bought it but it's a lease so I'm not doing all the bells and whistles with after market stuff.

I placed a order for a Model Y right before Juniper was coming out and found a inventory car. Got a vin completed financing and bam vin was removed. Supposedly it was damaged in xport but I think they sold it to someone else. Was Super pissed but went with a highland.

i mean, i can’t see that happening and that doesn’t seem ok. But i guess it could happen. The estimate was 2-3 weeks. So idk how me not receiving it bc of their end then i lose out on pricing lol. But 🤷🏿‍♂️

Why do you even want those wheels

I prefer the more standard rim look. 20 miles of range doesn't bother me. The contrast of the dark car, lighter rim color. Can't afford a m3p so whatever little cool things I could do to make the car look better I'd happily take. Obviously, all my opinion but I think the regular 18 inch aero wheels are ugly as sin.

It’s more like 50 miles of range difference just letting you know. Out of specs on YouTube did a real world range test on the hwy going 70mph and the difference was massive.

You just take the covers off the 18 and it looks the best out of all options

Tesla tried that bait and switch game with me back in 2019. Didn’t work then, won’t work now. They just didn’t get a sale for that quarter and I was perfectly fine waiting. I’m not spending tens of thousands and driving around for a decade in a car I don’t 100% want.

Get you. But it's my first Telsa and I panicked and made the switch to lock in. 🤷 I still think it's a scummy practice. If you can't deliver a car on time but I ordered it to take advantage of incentives, that's on Tesla, shouldn't have been on me. I didn't my part and ordered during the promotional period.
