Tesla Model 3 long range rwd 2026 (with stalks). I don't think anything else comes close when it comes to efficiency.

How fast was this drive on average? 80kmh roads? Highway? 50kmh roads without start/stop?

OzzyOsdorp 2025-12-14 09:00

How in the hell do you get this efficiency? My M3 2022 does about 16 kWh/100 km. I drive the speed limit, accelerate slowly and don't use the heater much. Also from the same flat ass country as you.

Scurra_ 2025-12-14 09:16

I don't understand this, my 21 long range awd has 20+

Ok_Priority458 2025-12-14 09:30

Not using the hvac and charging(warming up the battery) just before leaving the garage helps a lot....

Natriumchlorit 2025-12-14 09:31

He was doing 60km/h, hill down, with 60% SoH (perfect recuperation) in Chill Mode without climate/heating. And it’s the newest model, rwd single motor. Of course it’s more efficient. You should get about 14 in same conditions. I have a M3LR AWD 21 as well.

EstablishmentEasy145 2025-12-14 09:44

I mean, pre-conditioning is good if u need to charge at supercharger, u didn’t use energy for pre-conditioning? (Legit question)

Ok_Priority458 2025-12-14 10:05

If you are charging at home the battery warms up...you are using energy ofcourse but from the outlet. When the battery is cold it has limited regen braking and the heat pump can use a warm battery to heat up the interior ... Pre conditioning for supercharger is different and just uses (wastes)a lot of power to heat up the battery so it can accept a higher charging speed.

woyteck 2025-12-14 10:13

It doesn't waste a lot of power. It definitely cranks up the AC, and diverts some heating from the cabin to the battery. It all depends on your goal, also when cold, the battery during charge is also being heated up by the motor and AC. If you can use some motor/AC heat before reaching Supercharger, it saves you time and money during charge.

Betelgez 2025-12-14 10:17

I average 200Wh/km in the last month. So I call BS on your numbers 🙂 But I don't skip on preconditioning, HVAC, wheel and seat heating... I also mostly drive short routes in the city. I drive 2022 LR AWD.

Silly_Sun9924 2025-12-14 10:22

Rookie numbers... Mine are way better https://i.imgur.com/x05OvbU.jpeg

Psygo 2025-12-14 10:23

Ok so you drive foot to the floor... In my m3p i average like 220 ish and i drift it everywhere and other dumb things... On a gentler drive I've gotten it down to 145 ish

Demon0x23 2025-12-14 10:25

Don't think this is the case, there are no downhill (or any kinda hill) in The Netherlands that could affect the SOC significantly. OP probably didn't use the climate options and battery didn't need conditioning. I am getting 110whkm all say everyday in summer with avg 85-90 kmh speeds. Winter it's more like 130whkm with AC.

Betelgez 2025-12-14 10:25

Actually I am in Chill mode.

GurElectronic1469 2025-12-14 10:26

Hello everyone I speak for my own experience, 45k done already model 3 highland awd, it’s a fantastic car, if you drive max to 110km/h highway and national road around max 90 km/h you will do very good range. My best average was at 110 km/h, 348km range = 133.7 wh/km. Full charge to 100% arrive home with 35%. At 119kmh , 345km range = 177.8 wh/km. Full charge 100% arrive home with 12%.

GurElectronic1469 2025-12-14 10:28

Mate it’s not bs, you have to drive efficiently, no braking, avoid fast starts, and of course if the car is full it’s one thing, the car empty it’s another make a huge difference.

Super-Plantain8923 2025-12-14 10:32

It is the best car on the market, unfortunatelly it is not big enough for my family for long trips, I should ordern an X.

Betelgez 2025-12-14 10:43

I drive in the chill mode, I don't recall when was the last time I used breaks. I usually drive alone, nothing in the trunk. I suppose Highlander is more efficient than the model before that. Also you have RWD which makes most of the difference.

Kittelsen 2025-12-14 10:50

Depends a lot on the speed limit. If it's 15 degrees outside, rural 80km/h roads, dry and little wind, flat, I've been pushing close to 100Wh/km. If you're always at 160 with those conditions, somethings up.

GurElectronic1469 2025-12-14 10:53

Hehehe, thats brutal.

Greedy-Necessary-290 2025-12-14 11:00

But how does it feel to be slower than everyone else on the highway in a Tesla in Germany? Here in Italy, I've never been overtaken by a Tesla that hadn't exited the ramp shortly after. And I'm traveling just over the 130 km/h speed limit. I like the idea of a Tesla, but just thinking about it gives me anxiety about the battery draining too quickly.

Ok_Priority458 2025-12-14 11:02

Its definitely more efficient on the heat pump models...been using tesla v3 with my old ptc m3 lr awd for the last 6 years because its cheaper(no private parking space) seeing the stators go up to 90°c and drawing up to 7kw just to heat up the battery coolant and then the loud fans kicking in at 50°c still is a bit" unsettling"... especially if you see the occasional smoke and heat radiating from the wheels...and all the heat is just loss that cant be used in the interior on my old model 3.

SnooStories3343 2025-12-14 11:03

These numbers are not bs. My sr+ gets me the same numbers, love it. On contrast withMY performance that goes 190-220 … crazy numbers

jxdigital 2025-12-14 11:04

Yes it's insane. But this is short drives (town and rural) and I see you have heat disabled. I do that too for short trips, and reach similar numbers in my 2019 RWD m3. Actually, I beat you last week, 111 Wh/km, also winter, also in the Netherlands too: [https://imgur.com/a/q8NoBHV](https://imgur.com/a/q8NoBHV) In the summer I can do SUB 100 Wh/km for these kind of short drives (combined rural/town). If I go highway with 100 km/h, it'll be 120-140. If I go highway in WINTER, with family/passengers and full cabin heat, it'll be 150-170 Wh/km (no heatpump). Using heated seats is very comfortable to me, and it's way (WAY) more efficient than heating the cabin with hot air, you can have much lower cabin temp (or even completely off, for short drives). In winter, window defogging still needs to be done now and then of course. Also, the rear-heated seats update was worth it.

Kittelsen 2025-12-14 11:14

Mine are even better, I dunno what others are doing when they don't get good numbers, but I suspect they're driving on highways or something. This is mostly 80km/h rural roads, but I had to go over a mountain pass. 106Wh/h https://imgur.com/a/i6bShy1

jxdigital 2025-12-14 11:15

There is no hills in The Netherlands (except for a very small part in the south), almost completely flat country. The newer generation M3's are not really more efficient in the drive train, rather the heat-pump helps a bit. With climate off, all Model 3 RWD's are VERY similar. I can easily reach similar (and lower) numbers in my '19 RWD m3. See my other comment. The AWD and Performance models (of any generation) are known to be less efficient.

tech01x 2025-12-14 11:25

Ah, there are definitely efficiency improvements in the drivetrain.

liquidhuo 2025-12-14 11:32

How?!

broodro0ster 2025-12-14 11:55

He lives in the Netherlands where you can only 100kmh on the highway during the day

jxdigital 2025-12-14 11:56

I'm sure (and hope!) there are, but as you can see from real world results, they are VERY minor for the Model 3. At least since the '19 models, there is very little to zero difference in practice for (JUST) drivetrain efficiency, for the RWD at least. The REAL difference can be found in everything else: a slightly improved Drag Coefficient, the heat pump, and other efficiency improvements like the Lithium Low voltage battery, etc.

Storm-Blessed11 2025-12-14 11:59

Wish Tesla included the average speed for all of the calculations (current drive, since charge, etc)

DarthDuckling 2025-12-14 12:06

Average speed was 68 kmh, starting and ending with driving through town. And driving on a 100 kmh highway

One_Problem_7139 2025-12-14 15:07

2020 SR plus can get good numbers too, https://imgur.com/a/0tlaV2V

jburnelli 2025-12-14 15:50

I feel like a moron every time i see these charts. No idea how to read it.

fusionvic 2025-12-14 17:09

Looks like a lifetime of 138.6 Wh/km or 223 Wh/mi. My 22 Model 3 LRAB is about 190 Wh/mi.

Machineslave240 2025-12-14 17:44

Meanwhile I’m usually averaging around 85 MPH on the highways in my 2025 M3P not giving a shit about efficiency and just enjoying having all that power available for passing slower traffic 🙂

Majestic_beard88 2025-12-14 18:49

I get 8.9 on summer mornings driving to work with my AWD Highland. 50km drive.

No_Whereas_4048 2025-12-14 20:19

I can’t get less than 190 wh/km in my ‘19 LR in the winter. Switching to 20 inch wheels seems to have a significant negative effect on my efficiency.

Fiftynems 2025-12-15 07:07

Preconditioning is only effective if the car is at temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius for several hours. Just FYI. You can get down to 90Wh/100km 😉😉

dbg96 2025-12-15 14:51

and where speed cameras are in extremely good conditions.

dbg96 2025-12-15 14:53

i am not sure you can get that efficiency in any place other than the flat pancake netherlands.

AgentAaron 2025-12-15 18:02

Same... I do drive in "chill mode" about 99% of the time since it still good enough to pass most slower drivers on the highway. I think my overall average is like 270Wh/mi. I drive a lot for work, usually 1500-2000 miles per month, which is about 90% highway.

Medium_Confusion_ 2025-12-16 22:05

I mean for ur speed and no HVAC ya that's about right. Im more impressed at my latest trip; 100 miles trip to ski resort, ambient temp of <30F (<0c) travelling at 50-75mph (80-120 kph) and still got 260wh/mi (162wh/km) with all the HVAC on and 5 people in the car (rear HVAC on too) That was truly impressive, almost 4mi/Kwh in what would be considered almost worst case scenario.

RemoteTemperature586 2025-12-23 07:40

2025 Model 3  Highland Performance real world .. .. 3.2 Miles per KWHr / Sunny day / 70 mph / Flat terrain . Do not verify efficiency via Tesla computer .. Measure miles by gps and Google Maps  / Measure KWHr by Tesla Supervhsrger Billing .

GurElectronic1469 2026-01-01 18:49

Top mate. Amazing average 138.6wh 2189km . That’s really good. Still new car. Rwd it’s the best right now, I can wait for 2027 solid battery’s or extended battery range, (evclinc Croatia) prototype, ad more 18kw, 100km more range
