M3LR 2019 Parked.

Video for attention. Long story short. I have a M3LR 2019. Because of my health the car has been parked for about 2 weeks. And probably going to be longer. What do I need to think about? I’m plugged in, have charge limit at 80% and run de-icing for 30 mins every 3 days.

>run de-icing for 30 mins every 3 days I'm curious about the reason behind this If you're good with 50%, the battery will be happier there than at 80%.

Runs de-icing to make sure the car is not too full of ice + i think waking the car will start charging 12V battery if needed. But the 50% limit is a good tips. I can’t drive at the moment so the important thing is battery stability.

hmm, maybe you can try setting the car to precondition a couple times per day? that way it doesn't/can't cool down too long, if that's what you're worried about. if it were me, i'd just let it freeze and precondition before driving it next. also yeah keep it stored at 50% for optimal battery preservation; the precondition thing can help with that

The car will automatically close the HV contactor and charge the LV battery if needed. But ya I would hang out around 50% if it's just chilling. I was out of town last week and I left mine at 33% not plugged in since our other car was using the wall connector. I checked on it periodically and over the the week I was gone it went down to 32%. The pack sitting cold won't damage it unless we are talking -20 to -30F or lower, and even then we aren't talking ambient or wind chill but the actual battery pack temp. If anything the battery being cold slows down aging of the pack.
