Overly sensitive cameras after latest update on Model 3 Highland

Desperate-Review-727 | 2025-12-13 01:26 | 37 views

Before the latest update, I can't remember getting any alerts about my cameras being blocked/dirty, but now I'm getting these alerts almost every time I drive. I cleaned my cameras (even the windshield one) and I'm still getting the notifications. After cleaning the front camera, it still seems to fog up every morning/evening. Im also getting an alert about my left pillar camera every day on my way home from work around the same place. Curious if others are experiencing this as well

Same here. Multiple times every drive that the sun is shining low on the horizon. My car is almost new and completely clean.

Same for me. I am going to try and clean the interior glass for front cameras to see if that helps. It’s just a pain because the sun is at the lowest angle right now and just blasts my camera all the time.

The car off-gasses the plastic and subsequently fogs the cameras the most when the car is new.

The codename for the 2024 Model 3 refresh.

My 2021 didn't have a single issue with this but my 2025 complains about it every day.

Yes thank you for posting this I wanted to post about this as well! Winter in Canada and my cameras are dirty 5 minutes after being cleaned, I’m tired of yelling at my car every 2 minutes during an hour + commute to work and then home again as well.

Same. I looked down to change the temperature and got dinged.
