I just got a 2024 AWD M3 with 19k miles for 35k. Realistically speaking, your M3 is worth between 20-25k.

Just my 2 cents as new owner... I just bought a 2022 lr, with 38k for $25k. Clean carfax, one owner. So, your price might be too optimistic?

Intel, HW3 and model year put you about 22k max and that’s pushing it.

KBB is smoking crack if that’s what they think it’s worth. These cars depreciate very heavily

I got 2023 model 3 33k miles from Tesla for 21k plus 500 shipping.
The long range 2023 model year models were close to 26-27k

I picked up a 2022 m3p with 31k miles for $32k directly from Tesla last month.

Zero chance you get that much for a 2021 model 3 lmao. Look on seller websites in your area like cars.com to get a better idea of what your ride will actually sell for. KBB is completely full of it

Idk where you live but that price seems wild. Seems more like ask 25 & take 23 or 24. Now that the tax credit is gone might be harder to find a buyer.

You’ll get that much when the next pandemic hits and the government prints another $7t to hand out to plebs with consumerism issues

Agreed. Literally just looking right now in my area. 2023 lr model 3 28k. No way someone is paying 32-33k for a 21 model 3

Agreed. Mine is nearly a copy/paste of you. ('22 LR, 36k, $25k)

The reasons I love buying teslas is cause 1) they’re amazing and 2) they’re so cheap used. So you’re gonna have to really lower your price

People will buy almost anything if they think they are getting a deal. You need to beat your local dealers by $500 to $1,000.

I would check what places have them listed for. I don’t think you’re going to get that much. Carvana has many 2022 LR’s for under $30k with 30k miles or less.
Fantastic-Army-7671
2025-12-12 22:16
lol maybe 26k on a good day, teslas trade in value is likely 18-19k.

drivingaddictionchan
2025-12-12 22:20
you can sell it for maybe 24k
I just bought a 2023 M3 LR with 39k miles directly from tesla for 27k
How much is carmax/carana offering you?
Landon_Strata
2025-12-12 22:22
Trade value to carmax on my 24’ Model 3 LR with 20k miles is $26,000.. i know thats dealership trade value which is always low, but just for context. (Down from $27,400 in Nov)

Did you make a typo in your post, or are you in Canada? $22-26k USD is what kbb says for me when I put in the car and that's with the top option for Excellent condition which is unlikely. Realistically you should expect $20k maybe slightly less. Market shows several examples at or under $20k in the US. I don't see any location noted in your post so you're going to be limited in how helpful any of these replies are but you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect anything over ~$20k.

Did you try Carvana.com? The Sell/Trade feature gives you a quote in 2 minutes. This will give you a more accurate value of your vehicle and an immediate option to sell.

Hey I just bought a 2020 lr, 105k for 20k. Also clean carfax, one owner. We should hang out.

2025-12-14 05:18
Yeah, that’s fair. Hearing real purchase prices like that definitely helps reset expectations. I’m starting to realize KBB might be lagging the actual market, especially with Tesla price cuts and used inventory piling up.

2025-12-14 05:20
That’s the vibe I’m getting too the more I look around. On paper KBB looks nice, but real-world comps seem way lower.
