Just picked this up Wednesday. I really enjoy my EV6 but the software, efficiency, and FSD are game changers.

The car came with a J1772 adapter and mobile charger, pretty thrilled about that. Side note, what's everyone's favorite mats.

Tesla has it down

antiochasylum 2025-11-29 13:09

There's is a reason Tesla is #1. I just laugh at people who leave Tesla and go to Kia because of musk lol.

DARKNIZZ 2025-11-29 13:26

I had an EV6 and my model 3 blows it out of the water IMHO.

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 13:26

If Kia/Hyundai got a decent software and fixed their ICCU, they would be really good. I still have the Kia for towing stuff.

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 13:28

Yeah, driving each car is night and day.

ttownfeen 2025-11-29 13:31

FSD is intriguing (but I am still skeptical that it is as flawless as TeslaTok claims) but the ultra minimalist interior is still the deciding turn off for me.

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 13:35

FSD isn't perfect but it's pretty good so far. It's kind of crazy, sometimes when I'm sure it's going to struggle it handles it fine. Then it will try to U turn somewhere it has no business trying. The interior does feel a little empty compared to my Kia, but the infotainment on the Tesla is insanely better.

ttownfeen 2025-11-29 13:45

The HMG infotainment system is so trash. But I’ve yet to see a legacy auto infotainment system that is not. Prime example of the difference between a tech company developing an automobile vs an automobile manufacturer developing a tech product.

ehas23 2025-11-29 14:37

Same here. Believe me, a lot of them are back buying teslas. A lot of these first time Tesla owners we’ve been seeing in the last few months, posting their new rides were raging just a few months ago. They know who they are.

AccordingBoot6393 2025-11-29 14:39

Great color too

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 14:42

Agreed. I really like blue and red with the stock wheels on the Y but it just didn't look right to me on the M3. Silver and black seemed like the best with the 18's.

Platoesque 2025-11-29 16:01

Mats from Tesla that are for rainy weather are fine.

OrangeCatSwag 2025-11-29 16:14

My interior lights are not level where the doors meet the dash and I'm still salty about it.

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 16:35

I checked that first

Malacasts 2025-11-29 17:44

I'm actually curious how byd compares, but the Western government blocked good competition

antiochasylum 2025-11-29 17:45

10000% I would love to see that kind of competition here. What crazy is Elon wants it to prove Tesla is #1 but Government = China Bad. Lol

justincurtis8 2025-11-29 17:50

3D mats are great but kind of pricey. Worth it in my opinion.

Malacasts 2025-11-29 17:54

Yeah, my only complaint about Teslas is the interior is held together by plastic and that's why we get rattles over the years. Without a warranty I've been taking apart and replacing clips 😂

antiochasylum 2025-11-29 17:56

That's every car ever built. They use those push in clips. Every single MFG uses those.

Malacasts 2025-11-29 17:58

It's terrible, need that fake exhaust noise to hide the rattle 🤣

antiochasylum 2025-11-29 17:59

Lol. Just hit it. Send to work for me 😂. Honestly the interior is the same as my Infiniti I had. Seats are more comfy in the Tesla however.

micd8232 2025-11-29 17:59

Are they better than WeatherTech? I've used them for years and have always been satisfied.

AperiodicCoder 2025-11-29 18:04

They are just Tesla-branded but manufactured by WeatherTech, I believe. I like them.

Slum-Bum 2025-11-29 19:40

Hyundai/Kia/Genesis have that ICCU issue that bricks the cars every now and again. BMW makes some compelling quality EVs though. I rode in an i7 a few months back and I’m still not over the experience.

sim16 2025-11-29 21:38

I have M3P 22 . I can't wait to test drive a zeekr 7GT.

QuentinLCrook 2025-11-29 23:55

Is that a wrap? Cuz it’s not quicksilver.

Zintoatree 2025-11-29 23:56

Quicksilver

easy8888888 2025-11-30 01:52

And try to convince themselves it's a better car. Pathetic

lnxgod 2025-11-30 05:17

I don't get how anyone would get a ev6 over a tesla or most evs for that matter because teslas software is so much better and superchargin network

PotatoCooks 2025-11-30 05:59

I mean he is a loose cannon. You can't deny he's over promised and under delivered

Flaeskestegen 2025-11-30 11:15

Same. I'm currently driving around in a VW Buzz for work. Everything about the car is horrible compared to my Tesla. Same story for the other EVs I've driven for work. I get the Musk hate, but people are seriously missing out by going Hyundai/Kia/VW/French over Tesla.

antiochasylum 2025-11-30 13:40

Tell me what company hasn't. Tell me what smart phone company hasn't, tell me what tech company hasn't, tell me what store hasn't. Tell me what big corp hasn't. That's my point. Everyone does it, for the sale and to attract. I'm in no way denying Tesla has as well, I'm simply stating ALL companies have done it.

Remote_Brilliant_648 2025-11-30 15:38

I just ordered [these](https://a.co/d/e4lgjCn) mats. fit perfect and great price. does not come with frunk mat though

PotatoCooks 2025-11-30 15:47

https://www.reddit.com/r/SelfDrivingCars/s/tZsOaIOmmL You know what you're right, however I'm sure customers who paid for FSD on hw3 or older cars are not happy when Elon said it could handle FSD

antiochasylum 2025-11-30 15:56

I have a HW3 car. At this point I've just accepted it. Nothing to be mad about. Car still drives perfect for me. And cruise works fine.

ForeverMinute7479 2025-12-01 12:54

3D Maxpider mats yes! I’ve got them in two Teslas now. Better than Weathertech for Tesla anyhow.

Semi_Retired_001 2025-12-02 14:12

Rented an ionic 5 and it was a great car but the charging was a royal pain vs “you literally just plug it in” at superchargers with the 2023 model 3. Add in the fsd and, as nice as the Hyundai was, it’s just a nonstarter for us. You’re gonna love your model 3!

Zintoatree 2025-12-02 14:14

Agreed, they really need to work on charging interface outside of Tesla but damn those Hyundai/Kia's charge fast as hell.

Semi_Retired_001 2025-12-02 14:15

Have you written your the buzz vs Tesla anywhere? And ev van if what we want and its the only choice as of now. They’re so cute!!!!

Semi_Retired_001 2025-12-02 14:15

I have the 3d maxpider as well and I’d say they’re pretty good, no complaints

Semi_Retired_001 2025-12-02 14:17

You can get a Kia ev9 for like 53k and it’s a nice car. Maybe if you don’t use fsd and only do the occasional road trip along interstates with established chargers it would be a good option.

lnxgod 2025-12-05 05:21

I'm going to disagree but okay.
