Model 3 LFP RWD - High Mileage Check

jcastle003 | 2025-11-27 17:54 | 30 views

I picked up a 2022 Model 3 RWD last week with close to 106K miles. It shows 254 miles at 100% SOC. This is our 2nd Tesla (wife has a 2023 Model Y Long Range AWD). I was skeptical, at first, with the high mileage. I did some research about the LFP battery and decided to take a test drive. I was impressed. The RWD is still snappy, plenty of power for my needs. I consider being able to charge to 100% a definite advantage. I decided to subscribe to FSD to test it out. I noticed some differences compared to v14 FSD on the Model Y, but the HW3 v12 FSD setup is still very capable. I plan to drive this Model 3 until the wheels fall off. I searched for other Model 3 "high mileage" threads, but they were 2 years old and reddit archived. Just wanted to start another thread and see how everyone else is doing with their Model 3 RWD LFP in 2025. Please check-in and post your mileage.

2023 rwd model 3, only 30k miles, range is 262 with best case conditions. Owned the car for two years with no issues and no regrets.

Is this 263 real world? Or what is displayed?

Same year and model with 37k miles. Last couple months the battery has increased its stated range when at 100%. Going from 260 to 264.

My wife has a new Y and I have been contemplating getting an older high mileage 3 myself. We traded in our 3 at 60k miles with 0 issues. Just got the Y bc it’s our main family car and needed more space.

I forgot to mention... My Model 3 RWD has the 19 inch sport wheels. Estimated max range when new with that configuration was 267 miles. About 5% degradation with that many miles is outstanding. I'm considering switching to the Aero 18" wheels for smoother ride and a little extra range.

"This is the way." Save the Y for the long haul family trips. Use the 3 for groceries, school pickups, work commutes, etc.

Model 3 2023 RWD with 16k miles. Don’t really drive much. Car is almost paid off.

22 standard with 55k has a range in the 250s. It’s been the same number since I bought it 2 years ago. Over never got that many miles on a charge but given the terrain and conditions I drive in the Rockys I wouldn’t expect much better. Ive been very happy with the single motor and LFP battery.

My 2023 Model 3 RWD with LFP has been problem free since purchased new in February of that year. 24k miles on it, great efficiency, averaging 176 watt-hour per mile. Rated at 272 miles when I bought it, it displays 263 now with a full charge. Mostly rural driving allows me to sometimes exceed the rated mileage in nice weather. Just wish electricity was a little cheaper in Central Mass

I have a buddy with a 2019 ish (not sure exactly) He’s about to roll 200k on it. He’s mid 70s on his battery. So he still drives it everywhere

‘23 model 3 rwd with 56k miles. Was a hertz rental for 28.5k miles. 90% battery health 254 miles at 100% SOC. Has spent all of its time in Phoenix,AZ.

kaimanson 2025-11-27 21:25

2023 RWD Delivery date Nov. 5 2022. 21k at the odometer 100% = 263.

I think new 60 kwh lfp pack shows 272 so you have 6,5 % degradation based on that. You can go to energy app in the apps selection. Green one. Projected range left X consumption X 100 / current SOC and you get how much kwh is you maximum potential usable from battery.

I have a 2021 long range model 3 and I get 230-260miles 0-100%. However, I figured it would get above 300, but I think my 19” rims probably make me lose some miles haha. I do change my tires to the evo ion hankook tires which got me up to the 260mile range during hop conditions

kjmass1 2025-11-28 02:33

Same- 264. Charge once a week to 100%.

Doppio914 2025-11-28 04:00

Same 2023 model 3 rwd 47.800 miles 260-262 2year 1/2 keepppp goingggggg THE BESTTTT!!!!

stancedgangs 2025-11-28 07:41

About to hit 60k 2022 lfp. 100% displays 258 miles

Connbonn 2025-11-28 08:24

‘23 lfp rwd; bought it a year ago at 7k miles, 18k miles now. No issues, a dream to use

jcastle003 2025-11-28 14:38

The 272 miles new estimate is for a Model 3 RWD with 18" Aero wheels. I based my calculations off the 19" Sport wheels (267 miles). I'm planning on switching to the 18" Aero setup in the next few months mainly for the ride and to see if it truly adds a few miles.

2019 m3 rwd lr with 40k gets 278 at 100%. Rated 310 new. Sits out in the sw fl sun 24/7. Maintenance has been 1 set of tires, a new 12v, cabin filter swap, and wiper fluid. We still love it.

mhatrick 2025-11-28 17:24

I think these higher mileage 3s are a bargain. You can pick one up for around 15k or so with some warranty left, and have the full tesla experience. I’m going out on a limb and saying that these cars can easily last 250k miles with minimal maintenance. I think these will be more desirable as time goes on and people realize how few problems they have. There are undervalued right now in the used market IMO
