Free unlimited premium connectivity?

drewb671 | 2025-11-26 20:15 | 285 views

When I was ordering my 2026 M3P and I saw in the order agreement I was going to get free premium connectivity. I assumed it was a free 30 day trial like what we got with our ‘24 MYLR. I got the car last week and I’m seeing in the app that I have “free premium connectivity - free unlimited.” There’s no expiration date and no option to purchase or subscribe to it. Is this something new for the 2026 model year? Is it for all of the new “premium” vehicles, or perhaps limited to the performance vehicles? Anyone else have experience with this? Stoked to not only get a free mobile charger included but apparently also the premium connectivity!

Could it be tied to your FSD Subscription? If not, this is pretty awesome! It's been a long time since Tesla offered that on their cars.

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:20

The FSD subscription is just the free month I got with the car. 🤷‍♂️

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:20

Yeah my understanding is that this hasn’t been offered since maybe 2019?

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-26 20:26

Normal for all m3p now. I noticed it when the inventory ones started showing lifetime next to the premium connectivity icon in their descriptions.

cintoman 2025-11-26 20:28

This had been confirmed for the Model Y Performance version. It's not the regular 30-day trial that the other cars get, but rather it's truly unlimited. Someone in the Model Y Subreddit posted an image from the Tesla site that indicated it was truly unlimited, no cost, and for the life of the vehicle. It's also not transferable to another car. Looks like it's also for the 2026 M3P!

Jdsmitty10 2025-11-26 20:30

So if I have a 2025 will it be free when my 1 year subscription expires?

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:33

Sick! Excited for this unexpected benefit!

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:33

Thanks for confirming!

Hyjynx75 2025-11-26 20:34

My 2019 M3SR+ has free unlimited premium connectivity. I think mine was near the end of when they offered that. At one point, they started charging me for it, then I got a letter about a lawsuit settlement, and they refunded the charges. It's been free ever since.

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:35

I was almost shipped a 2025 model but something happened and they assigned a new VIN and I got a ‘26. So lucky!

ParaIIax_ 2025-11-26 20:36

it’s attached to the vehicle for free

Jdsmitty10 2025-11-26 20:38

Nice. Did you still get the tax credit?

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:47

I did! Ordered Sept. 2nd and the issue with VIN reassignment ended up delaying the delivery all the way until Nov. 22nd.

[deleted] 2025-11-26 20:48

Does the 2026 M3P come with bumper camera and turn stalks?

Jdsmitty10 2025-11-26 20:54

Nice so you got all the extras like free connectivity, mobile charger and the tax credit. I assume they are adding those things to help make up for lack of credit.

IAmSenseye 2025-11-26 20:54

Im pretty sure that with your 2nd tesla vehicle it becomes free. Dont think its model related (may be but dont believe so).

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:58

Yes and yes. Although I didn’t realize the turn stalk feels different than a conventional stalk (with both soft on and full on). The new stalk feels like a rocker without the physical indent for full on. It also behaves like the wheel blinker buttons where the computer decides when to turn the blinker off. I rather like it.

drewb671 2025-11-26 20:59

Yeah, feeling pretty fortunate with how it worked out.

drewb671 2025-11-26 21:02

Interesting. We got the $500 order discount for already having a Tesla. Didn’t see anything about any other bonuses with that.

Inglourious-Ape 2025-11-26 21:03

My 2019 came with free premium connectivity, it's a nice little perk.

IAmSenseye 2025-11-26 21:05

My colleague told me this but maybe i misunderstood and these are just temporary promotions idk..

einsteinsviolin 2025-11-26 21:39

My 2018 has free premium connectivity still too

ehas23 2025-11-26 21:48

Zoom in

Sfkn123 2025-11-26 22:02

Yeah, it shows that and the turn signal stalk for all the Model 3 performances now - might be a promotional thing? It's for the new custom orders too - at least mine has that on the invoice.

Sfkn123 2025-11-26 22:04

Haha nice, that's what my neighbor did too. He was trying to delay it until end of year to see if he could win out on a bigger deal but his rep said that he can apply the 1.99% to his order to let him stack it with the $7500 tax credit - pretty much took it instantly.

Underwater_Karma 2025-11-26 23:22

That's a nice perk

BrawndoCrave 2025-11-26 23:23

Is this new? I have a 2023 M3P and still lay for full connectivity.

electricshadow 2025-11-26 23:33

Same here. It's going to be weird paying for it when I upgrade in the future.

Ok-Plankton5329 2025-11-27 00:23

Omg thats a great feature

Internal-Mushroom-76 2025-11-27 01:55

i bought a pre-owned model 3 and i only got a month trial??

SomegalInCa 2025-11-27 02:07

Interesting back to the past - M3P got this back in 2018 ( mine has it ). Nice for satellite maps

azwildcat11 2025-11-27 02:25

Wish I got it on my MYP I bought last December, but I did get the tax credit so no complaints.

HavocBTW 2025-11-27 02:48

Dang. I got mine right before the tax credit went away and mine doesn’t have that. I’ll still take the credit but that would be nice as well 😂

KillerBTeam 2025-11-27 02:54

Does it stay with the car/vin, even if it transfers ownership?

kaamady 2025-11-27 03:29

I picked up my '26 M3LR on November 2nd and I don't have this, just the 30 day trial. 🙃

ASMRekulaar 2025-11-27 03:34

I bought in 2019, April. Still have the free premium. Its a beautiful thing!

choicemeats 2025-11-27 04:39

I just picked up my M3P lease today, 2026. Is this for finance only?

drewb671 2025-11-27 05:32

Gotcha. Based on the other comments and your experience it seems like only the ‘26 MYP and ‘26 M3P are getting the free premium connectivity. I had no idea.

drewb671 2025-11-27 05:33

That’s great. Honestly hoping to keep this car for 6+ years like you have and get some good life out of it.

drewb671 2025-11-27 05:35

Honestly I’m not sure. Maybe someone who bought a second hand early model 3 can confirm. I would think it stays with the VIN like FSD does for the X/S.

dshwshrwzrd 2025-11-27 06:26

My 2020 M3SR+ has that too. 🙏

khaid 2025-11-27 07:58

i bought my myp last year and had to pay for ultra red $2000, white interior $1000, mobile charger $250, and pay for premium connectivity all of this is included now 🙃

StandardGlum1546 2025-11-27 08:08

When you say all, do you mean worldwide or US ? I asked my local dealership about it last week because I saw this offer online already for the MYP , but he said there is nothing of the sort here in EU. I know that sometimes sales guys are even less informed than us but I would imagine that they would know about incentives / offers for sales.

StandardGlum1546 2025-11-27 08:13

Worldwide or US only ?

Top_Paint7442 2025-11-27 10:22

Had this on my 2019 too. But it was free unlimited for period, after which it is monthly subscription.

eried 2025-11-27 10:30

Damn that is a nice incentive

Nokida 2025-11-27 13:41

You know, it isn't hard to take 10 seconds of your time and put on Wi-Fi Hotspot (assuming you got unlimited plan which is most common nowadays) from your phone. If you were planning on buying a new m3p it's a nice feature. But not worth purchasing +$50k for a feature that costs $10 a month or practically free from your phone. Wait a year or two and a used m3p is down to $30k-35k range. I got a 2023 m3p for 30k. Had 5k miles. And full FSD. Gotta love Teslas depreciation value along with dealerships who don't know shit about its tech.

ASMRekulaar 2025-11-27 14:00

Oh I hope you can too! Ive lived in Canada my entire life and have thrived with this vehicle across the entire country living on both coasts and a bit in between (even used it to drive across the country to move there, jampacked full of stuff). While the range goes down mildly in the winters here, the performance is all the same. I also have never had a garage, the vehicle has for better or worse been exposed at all times to the elements, so a properly kept, best scenario, vehicle will give you lots of life. Enjoy!

drewb671 2025-11-27 14:01

That’s a nice deal. I did some looking on the used market and in my area the deals are awful. For example: a 2023 M3P for $32k with 55k miles and in fair condition at best. Curb rash on all 4 wheels, a 2 foot long gash in the front bumper, inside steering wheel stripped like the person used lacquer thinner on their hands every day, and seats in terrible condition. Honestly, idk how you trash a car so badly in two years… they wouldn’t budge on the price at all.. 45 days later it sold for $29k which is still a terrible deal for a car in that condition. For that price, buying new and getting local plus federal tax credits felt like it was worth the upgrade for a car I can take care of myself and not feel embarrassed by the condition it’s in.

drewb671 2025-11-27 14:02

Honestly idk how you found that deal because I did a bunch of looking and found nothing even remotely in that ballpark.

Pleasant-Ad-7856 2025-11-27 14:05

yeah I have a 2019 m3p and it's free unlimited. cool that they brought it back

Nokida 2025-11-27 14:46

Used cars.com with certain filters and alerts when it met my criteria. Gotta negotiate too. A big factor is the state you're in. You need to be willing to drive to a different state. This is what most people don't like to do. They'd rather buy new and not deal with the inconvenience. Also in most cases people who plan on buying a vehicle need one soon. Time is against them. I wasn't in a rush so I had time to research. Almost 20k in savings I think it's worth it. The FSD alone is worth $8k. Some dealerships don't know. I wasted some time reaching out to them in some listings as they'd put 'performance' on LR. Some didn't even know anything about FSD and assumed it's pay as you go. Ultimately it does take time to research, make calls and be able to drive and see the car. Some people rather not go through with all that and just buy new.

pfai 2025-11-27 15:13

Are you sure yours is premium and not standard?

dshwshrwzrd 2025-11-27 16:16

Yes, bought the car used from Germany, so no clue why it has it.

nightlyh 2025-11-27 16:34

Same

drewb671 2025-11-27 16:46

Yeah… feels bad. This past summer was the first time I was aware you could qualify for the tax credit and get anything besides stealth grey and black interior for the M3P. Including free color and interior upgrades was amazing.

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 18:23

Shouldn’t be any difference. Mine is a lease and I have it

choicemeats 2025-11-27 18:23

Hm maybe it’ll show up towards the end of the month

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 18:24

I guess I just didn’t think there would be a difference between regions but it’s possible it’s US only

choicemeats 2025-11-27 18:44

Is your lease thru Tesla finance or another bank? Mine is thru Chase and I only see the first 30 days on my account

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 19:38

Same as you. I picked it up 12 days ago. If you go in the app to Upgrades and tap Manage, You don’t see Free premium connectivity with Free Unlimited noted below it? It should. If you go to the Tesla order page you can see it’s included for m3p for the duration of your ownership but non transferable.

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 19:41

I also see you don’t even have the car yet, so you probably can’t see an Upgrades tab. But your order agreement should also show premium connectivity as included

choicemeats 2025-11-27 19:45

I do have the car now but in the manage it has the one month sub but ALSO in my agreement it says only standard. I didn’t see this as an option or thing that was happening during any of my process though and I didn’t know about it until this post tbh but lemme call them since I have to get them to look at a rattle anyway

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 19:51

Ok. I saw that you were just ordering 5 days ago and assumed you were still waiting. Did you pick up an inventory model? They had some already on lots but they didn’t have the black badges or front bumper cam but I think had the turn signal stalk. Or some combination of the 3 2026 upgrades. Did you get all those, at least?

choicemeats 2025-11-27 20:07

Yeah it was an inventory pick up, but does have the stalk, front bumper, and the black badges. Tbh I thought I was getting a 25 not a 26 so I wasn’t expecting any of that. AND they are also back to including mobile charger

HeronOrganic3727 2025-11-27 20:12

I don’t know then. Hope you can call to get it included

choicemeats 2025-11-27 20:15

imma try, of course closed today, but will see, since the app told me that is in fact the case, but i'll call tomorrow and see what the deal is! thanks for pushing

SnortingElk 2025-11-28 03:50

When did you buy it? I bought a 2019 and got the 1-month trial. Most I’ve seen is 3 months free.

Gullible-Public3400 2025-11-28 06:39

Teslas incentives are always going to get better. I paid $70k for MYP in 2022 lol Just enjoy the car you bought.

Inglourious-Ape 2025-11-28 07:33

I think it was one of the purchasing incentives at the time in Canada

Xervious 2025-11-28 15:20

I got it on my '25 m3p that I took delivery on 3 weeks ago. was good to keep that benefit going from my 2018 m3 lr awd

drewb671 2025-11-28 15:42

Oh nice! Maybe it’s all performance deliveries that started in Nov? Strange that you got a ‘25 with delivery in Nov. My understanding was that retooling for the ‘26 model year began the first week or two of October. So I figured any deliveries that were non-inventory orders after mid Oct would have been a ‘26 model.

Xervious 2025-11-28 21:40

I placed my order Oct 23 and they were advertising the free premium connectivity at least 2 days before then with new m3p. my car has the stalk but not the black badge or the front bumper camera. my car was built in October and was a new delivery Nov 7

NiceToKnowYou2 2025-11-28 22:10

If you guys have hotspot on your phone, you can have it auto-connect with iPhone every time you get in the car. Boom, you now have "premium connectivity."

iCallAnime 2025-11-28 22:50

I got my car like a week ago and I didn’t get it??

Appropriate_Wafer_38 2025-11-29 01:21

It is not unlimited, the fine print says 8 years, at least for my 2018 M3 in Quebec. That said. It is totally worth it for me as my kids and I watch it all the time when waiting on mom, groceries, shopping, trips, heck even when I work inside my car on laptop, listening to music streaming. Is not much, but it adds up to about $1000 during the 8 years.

DragenTBear 2025-11-29 05:41

🚗 Extra cool. Just curious, is this with the new 5G connection.? .. … or maybe they’re giving free connectivity ‘cause they’re still using 4G radio? I know my friends ‘26 Model Y still had 4G radio when he got it 2 months ago.

Consistent_Face6647 2025-11-29 18:24

Is this an america only thing? I ordered a M3P but just says standard connectivity on the final invoice 🥲

Jumpy-Relationship35 2025-11-30 02:06

There is no 26 M3 yet only 25 refresh

AmericanDoughboy 2025-11-30 03:50

My 2018 had it too. I traded it in for a 2023 Model 3 Performance and now I have to pay for it.

scjcs 2025-11-30 23:02

Dang, jealous. My 3 is exactly one year old and I only got premium connectivity free for one year. Just re-upped yesterday, in fact-- $99 for the coming year. You got lucky!

drewb671 2025-11-30 23:19

There’s always a bit of FOMO with Tesla it seems. Can’t wait to find out what I missed out on looking back in a year or two. But to be honest, I’m not sure I’ll care because I’m really happy with this car.

scjcs 2025-11-30 23:59

There's FOMO with any tech purchase, but Tesla with its frequent updates helps mitigate it. Of course, easy for me to say with HW4...

drewb671 2025-12-03 01:37

This is still with the 4G radio. Took me a minute to figure out how to look that up. Which vehicles are supposed to have 5G? Google says the new MY and M3 are supposed to have it.. but idk what’s newer than a 2026. Mine is from Fremont, not sure if that makes a difference.

cintoman 2025-12-05 18:32

I believe it's US only.
