should I just buy new rims?

drivingaddictionchan | 2025-11-25 06:21 | 28 views

I have the 19 inch sport rims and I am getting quoted 500 to powder quote. I'm thinking I could just buy new black rims, which comes out to around $930 with installation and everything. I could then sell my sport rims for about 600 bucks? What do you guys think?

1) will it negatively affect my resale? 2) do you think I get sell the rims for 600 bucks?

Not OEM will hurt resale.

Won't affect resell neither negatively or positively. As for question 2, no idea, what does your local eBay/marketplace say?

I don’t get how powder coating affects offset?

What set of four wheels are $930? That’s extremely cheap and I would question the quality of the wheels. Teslas are heavy with a lot of torque, you don’t want to end up with low quality aftermarket wheels. I’d keep the stocks as backup.

Drag dr-69 from discount tire

Personally I would avoid those. They’re cast wheels which are prone to damage from potholes. Id only buy forged wheels which are lighter and more durable.
