Demand for Standard versions was expected to support sales in November, but the company's **total sales fell nearly 23% to 39,800 vehicles from 51,513 a year earlier and were the lowest since January 2022**, according to the data from Cox, which tracks sales across the industry.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-11 22:24

It won't be long before it's a 20-year low.

Low-Win-6691 2025-12-11 22:26

Damn that means TSLA might hit an all time high

Theferael_me 2025-12-11 22:28

We're at the stage now where buying a Tesla is a statement of support for far-right extremism and white supremacy.

babypho 2025-12-11 22:34

Less car sales = more lay offs = less expense = stock up!

Busy-Explanation4339 2025-12-11 22:39

It's not a car company bro. It's a sex robot company.

FreudianYipYip 2025-12-11 22:44

This guy TSLAs!

SackofBawbags 2025-12-11 22:52

Stock is gonna rocket on news

Xollector 2025-12-11 22:53

Well they are transitioning from an EV company with great success ! /s

ot13579 2025-12-11 22:55

Who would have thought that alienating your customer base would affect sales. They just need to market better to maga…and switch to big gas/diesel engines.

tankerdudeucsc 2025-12-11 22:57

It’s not a sex robot company, but a bitcoin company. Soon, it will go from that to, it’s a political influencer company and Xitter merges in! Good times!

Far_Addition1210 2025-12-11 22:57

Elmo has figured out a hack to some European sales registrations, and others, even possibly paying all the relevant costs and taxes on basically ghost vehicles. 1% of the company is worth $15bn, Elmo could spend $5bn registering ghost cars and if the stock goes up 1% he is still up billions. He keeps the charade going until the next product comes around and in a year or 2 they will uncover an accounting error and try and brush it under the carpet.

AdRoutine9961 2025-12-11 22:59

Ha Ha Ha Ha…..Good Time to Short it !

weasel_face 2025-12-11 23:01

This is all Elon. I own a Tesla and will never buy one again. I love the car, but don't want to fund an idiot like him. Every Tesla owner I know feels the same.

happymancry 2025-12-11 23:02

That’s been evidently the case since Elon’s Twitter takeover days… it’s just undeniable now.

happymancry 2025-12-11 23:03

Quick, Tesla board! Give Elon even more money so he can keep this momentum going! #winning

MacaroonPretend5505 2025-12-11 23:03

It’s really not. It’s a car. It’s not anymore a statement than someone getting a cup of coffee at Starbucks or eating at chick fil a.

[deleted] 2025-12-11 23:04

Who willingly buys a Swasticar?

Theferael_me 2025-12-11 23:07

It really is. You're financially supporting a white supremacist and neo-Nazi who's actively trying to spread far-right extremism across Europe, of all fucking places.

[deleted] 2025-12-11 23:07

Can't wait for the Rolling Coal option.

Theferael_me 2025-12-11 23:08

Yeah, it really is undeniable. I think of the people who tried gaslighting us into believing the blatant Nazi salutes weren't Nazi salutes and I just laugh.

misersoze 2025-12-11 23:12

Yes. What you’re describing is a Ponzi like scams. The problem with those is that built into them is that they only work so far as they slop getting bigger. But that means their collapse is both inevitable and massive.

SA2018 2025-12-11 23:12

You guys just don’t get it do you? Tesla isn’t a car company it’s an AI company! Just wait until  Robotaxi and Optimus deploy everywhere! Probably this year, definitely next year. Waymo is finished.  Tesla is innovating for the future and what have you guys accomplished? Elon deserves another 2 trillion dollars, he worked for it! /s, I can’t believe there are people who actually talk like this.

analyticaljoe 2025-12-11 23:16

No carwash gets the Nazi out.

analyticaljoe 2025-12-11 23:18

How is a Tesla like an SS uniform? The Nazi's on the inside.

Zorkmid123 2025-12-11 23:20

You know what the problem is? They aren’t paying their CEO enough money! He only has a $1 trillion comp package, how can you expect him to perform while getting paid so little?

jpk195 2025-12-11 23:26

It’s an indifference to those things. Not justifying it - but if we don’t accept some people are just tuned out, we’ll keep getting 2024 results.

friendIdiglove 2025-12-11 23:26

It’s not a bitcoin company, but a buttcoin company.

mog_knight 2025-12-11 23:34

People who don't care about that or politics I'd guess

Bobert77 2025-12-11 23:37

Why not tear-gas?

Icy-person666 2025-12-11 23:37

Sounds like most corporations, wall street demands more growth and more profits every quarter. Only economist and fools believe in infinite growth. What is the next step in any company if they hit 100% market share.

eclwires 2025-12-11 23:42

They can go lower.

Olderpostie 2025-12-11 23:50

It is an amazing case study. Most stocks tank if the earnings drop just 5% year over year. But, Tesla, priced for perfection, seems to rise in the face of sales and earnings dropping. Weird.

TheFoxsWeddingTarot 2025-12-11 23:51

I think if you look at sales vs available vehicles sure it’s at an all time low. 4 years ago they had less to sell. Now they’re sucking AND sitting on inventory.

BajaRooster 2025-12-11 23:53

Honestly, he’s said himself if Trump didn’t win then he’d likely be in jail, so it tracks.

CashKeyboard 2025-12-11 23:53

The thing about anti-democratic movements is that they in particular thrive in indifferent environments. Unlike pluralist, democratic movements they don't need supporters at all, they just need to get rid of opponents. So for all intents and purposes indifference is support.

User-no-relation 2025-12-11 23:54

Damn that's back to like before they were through model y pre orders. That's pretty bad

Boys4Ever 2025-12-11 23:54

Pointing to the moon as well as loss tax credits and competition can do that. Plus wasn’t the bulk of their income from selling credits? That’s not then a car company.

BajaRooster 2025-12-11 23:55

A damn shame that one of the most innovative companies has turned into a pyramid scheme of equities.

hotwifefun 2025-12-12 00:04

Only publicly, people are fine with privately owning the stock apparently.

Cal-Bear-Fan 2025-12-12 00:09

Musk’s DOGE antics hurt Tesla big time.

[deleted] 2025-12-12 00:10

Lol. The robotaxi is two guys in a car suit. The robots are just two guys in a robot suit. The whole fucking company is basically two guys in a car company costume.

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-12-12 00:11

Tesla is trying really hard to not be a car company

jpk195 2025-12-12 00:11

Except it’s not. It’s a lack of awareness. You fix that by promoting awareness, not with black and white categories.

ionizing_chicanery 2025-12-12 00:18

A $40,000+ vehicle that follows you everywhere for the next several years might make a bit of a stronger statement than a sandwich or a beverage.

Own_Reaction9442 2025-12-12 00:19

After their AI transition, future Teslas will be rickshaws pulled by Optimus robots.

gumnamaadmi 2025-12-12 00:32

Stock +50 tomorrow.

gumnamaadmi 2025-12-12 00:34

How many of these they bought themselves for internal fleet.

Snoo68594 2025-12-12 00:35

Pile of rich dudes in a coat holding this stock up on hopium and dreams.

[deleted] 2025-12-12 00:48

Who needs to sell cars. I thought they sold platforms for robotaxis, robots who make fast food and who will care for us all in our dotage.

practicaloppossum 2025-12-12 00:57

What, didn't anyone tell you? Tesla's not going to do that. Musk is going to IPO SpaceX, raise $100billion, and they'll do the space data center. (this is actually true, and a good example of the dangers of having a CEO with multiple conflicts of interest between his companies)

SA2018 2025-12-12 01:00

And the robots will be remotely controlled by an actual rickshaw driver in a village connected via starlink.

W1z4rd 2025-12-12 01:08

But sitting on inventory is a good thing, Elon told me my Tesla will appreciate in value over time and will earn me money while I sleep by joining the robotaxi fleet. Why would this be any different for himself? FSD unsupervised being solved and all.

I know a few different lifelong Dem voters in San Francisco who've bought Teslas since the salute. Plenty of people who just vote one way because everyone around them does.

Can’t be a car company if you no longer sell cars! Elon outsmarting us all, proving they are a robotics company /s

ZeroCrits 2025-12-12 02:48

Because the cheap versions are actually shit compared to the base model. If your that cheap you can’t spend the extra few thousand, it wasn’t meant for you

soldieroscar 2025-12-12 03:07

Hummm record layoffs… wonder why they aren’t buying cars?! They have all that free time now

vxicepickxv 2025-12-12 03:22

Asleep-Vanilla1457 2025-12-12 03:32

If SpaceX goes public at the suggested ipo price, I think they will quickly buy Tesla.

South-Play-2866 2025-12-12 04:09

Stock is about to rocket to all time highs. Nice

Relative_Drop3216 2025-12-12 04:56

The cheaper version is the 2020 and 2021 teslas.

Street_Barracuda1657 2025-12-12 05:25

Exactly. Making cars is expensive. Just like how tax cuts increase revenue, making and selling less cars will increase profit!!

GrunchWeefer 2025-12-12 05:56

The real issue is that the CEO isn't *enough* of a Nazi. Sure, he does the salute and builds a "MechaHitler" and funds far right movements around the world but he doesn't even have the mustache.

TheLegendTwoSeven 2025-12-12 05:58

And if the full self driving needs to be supervised, we can just ask our Optimus robots to do that for us. ^/s

Elon has turned distraction mode up to 11 and the share price is at an all time high. It can mean only one thing: Q4 results are going to be spectacularly bad and he knows it.

Lanky_Product4249 2025-12-12 10:21

Can he even grow one?

Secure_Guest_6171 2025-12-12 11:54

While I'm seeing a growing number of non-Tesla EVs, it's astounding just how inept the majority of the incumbents have been. One would think Detroit and Das Auto had started making cars 5 years b4 Tesla Motors was registered, not a *century* prior. Aren't some of these people actually engineers? For all Tesla's problems and Elon's shenanigans, they've still managed to make the rest look like they're driving sideways on square blocks

PilotKnob 2025-12-12 12:10

Interestingly, all the MY Junipers I see around here in the ATL area are driven by older black women. It's really strange to see. Are they clueless as to what they represent?

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-12 12:22

Tesla no longer drives TSLA. $TSLA actually does have full self driving.

TechnicianExtreme200 2025-12-12 18:25

That's exactly my point. There are these wealthy people in SF (and elsewhere) who vote Dem not because they have principles, but because it goes along with the luxury beliefs in their social circles. And the party caters to those types of people who are out of touch and lack conviction.

totalfarkuser 2025-12-13 02:20

Theferael_me 2025-12-13 12:55

I appreciate that but Musk has been a very obvious fascist and white supremacist since he bought Twitter - buying a new Tesla in 2025/26 is inexcusable, IMO.

totalfarkuser 2025-12-13 13:40

Of course. But like I said I bought before all that.

Financial-Average337 2025-12-13 17:50

Maybe they need a sub 10K model so more could afford to buy, just leave off most of all the stupid extra computer stuff maybe like Slate? I dont want self driving anything with the pickup truck assholes on the roads tryin to kill people these days. You could also put a stiff weight tax on trucks and vehicles with low mpg ratings. Fuck your freedom to try and kill people with a 4 wheel weapon.

Theferael_me 2025-12-13 20:37

No, I wouldn't even consider one either. It wouldn't even make the short list. I'm glad you went for a different make. People who already own one have my sympathies but buying a new one now is unforgiveable.

JTxFII 2025-12-14 02:14

Me too. About 4 years ago, and just a month or two before they did the big price drop. That really pissed me off, but I figured it would at least come out in the wash as long as I traded it for a new Tesla at the lower price in a few years. Fast forward a few years and now the fucking brand is destroyed too. I just traded in my other vehicle for a new Honda and I asked if they’d take the Tesla off my hands. They literally laughed.

JTxFII 2025-12-14 02:25

I own one as well, unfortunately, and I’m envious of how far the competitors have come. For the money, there are far better options today.

Introverted-headcase 2025-12-14 03:21

They make junk cars, very unreliable and expensive. They do not stand behind their product.

mick601 2025-12-14 07:48

Apparently he took that chainsaw to his own company and then trump did it to him after he was through with f'elon.

MantuaMan 2025-12-14 15:26

Don't think so Elon.

ArQ7777 2025-12-14 19:51

One more reason that Elon must resign as Tesla CEO and work for SpaceX exclusively. Let someone else take over Tesla, no more his responsibility.

ElunesBlessing 2025-12-15 13:27

Maybe because they give China the best incentives, better than US incentives.

TheConquiztador 2025-12-15 13:53

That’s simply false. I also hate the guy and hate the fact that I own two teslas but there is absolutely no truth behind “competitors have better EV cars” all other EVs have higher than 50% depreciation after 2 years. They all have terrible maintenance costs, awful technology and look like crap. Lots of them are also being pulled out of the market. Tesla continues to remain (in the US) the best EV option. Now if they bring BYD or other brands then that’s a different story. Before you all come for me I’m a liberal who voted for Kamala, Biden, Obama, etc.

illegitimatebanana 2025-12-15 16:03

It hit 480.76 this morning which is higher than the previous all time high of 479.86 on December 17, 2024. So I believe you're right.

Content-Word-7673 2025-12-15 21:20

Tesla rolling out cheaper models but still seeing sales hit a four-year low says a lot. Competition is tougher, brand loyalty is slipping, and price cuts alone aren’t fixing deeper issues.

Plus-Bookkeeper-8454 2025-12-16 16:00

Low sales, getting crushed in China, yet a $1.5 T valuation. Musk and Tesla's worth has more hot air than just about anything in history.

Plus-Bookkeeper-8454 2025-12-16 16:02

I'm thinking the AI bubble pop could lead to Musk and Tesla suffering from the biggest value implosion in history. I could be wrong.

Plus-Bookkeeper-8454 2025-12-16 16:08

I had a Tesla. Bought it new. Within one year the control arm had to be replaced twice, the sunroof once because of improper sealant application, and had to get a new visor because the old one was glued on the ceiling. I am much happier in my BMW i4 because it's not falling apart.

BB63_Htown 2025-12-16 18:46

The EV industry dropped over 40% due to the credits expiring which Elon is on record supporting their expiration. Tesla dropped 23% but gained 30% in market share. Therefore when the EV market eventually comes back Tesla will be poised in the best position. Some media says IF the EV market comes back but that's laughable. It will come back but not overnight. Probably 12 to 18 months. Gas prices will not stay as low as they are long-term. The electricity cost in many southern states is as much as 60% or more lower than the cost of fuel when charging at home. So the savings on the cost of fuel and maintenance will be the incentive to buy EVS. Not to mention their Superior driving experience.

BB63_Htown 2025-12-16 20:06

Wow this is quite the pessimistic forum. Long-term I'm betting on Elon. If you're looking for short-term anything with Tesla you are in the wrong place. I'm optimistic about the next 5 years, not next year. When they're new lithium refinery reaches full capacity in '26 and they're making their own batteries it's going to get interesting. Oh and I absolutely love the beta-grock capability. In the future when Grok integrates and operates the vehicle systems, it will truly be revolutionary. Love my Tesla vehicles and my Tesla stock.

BB63_Htown 2025-12-16 20:12

Fully autonomous unsupervised robotaxis are operating without passengers in Austin right now before unsupervised passenger rides start. It's happening!

admin_default 2025-12-17 03:58

Nah, Elon owns ~42% of SpaceX and ~12% of Tesla - no incentive to merge his failing car biz into his fairly successfully rocket company.

Xollector 2025-12-17 04:05

No incentive? Nothing like 1 trillion dollar incentive when Tesla hits 8 trillion. Also 12% is declarable interest. Here to wondering how many related entities holding total return swaps like archegos that don’t need to be disclosed. Funny enough SEC was looking to introduce disclosure requirement from 2021-22 due to archegos blowout, but then quietly withdraw the plan in mid 2025… too much money and risk at stake

Best-Command-7409 2025-12-31 11:51
