Says the guy who desroyed his car company thinking he was so smart 🤣😂

ddesideria89 2025-12-10 21:32

tis but a scratch!

[deleted] 2025-12-10 21:36

Waymo never had a chance because Tesla never joined the game. This is like Musk claiming Zuckerberg never had a chance in their fight, because Elon's mom didn't let him go through with it.

SA2018 2025-12-10 21:41

Without car sales Tesla is done. You need people buying cars in order to sell FSD. Tesla started out making good, even great products (S, 3, X, Y, Supercharger network), thanks to the hard work of its engineers, designers and VPs. Then Musk slowly took control of the entire company and we’ve seen failures and a whole bunch of nothing (Cybertruck, Robotaxi, Tesla Bot, Roadster, Dojo). No wonder almost all of the executives have left.

h1rik1 2025-12-10 21:42

What a time to be alive.

luv2block 2025-12-10 21:47

This is like a pasty white 12-year-old boy spouting off about how they could beat Mike Tyson if they had the chance. Maximum cringe.

Jaguarmadillo 2025-12-10 21:47

I CANNOT wait for Elmo to let his “taxis” go without a driver. I don’t actually believe he will, as the mask will slip, but if he does I think it’ll be a proper old fashioned ROFLCOPTER

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 21:49

You mean the company that actually does have autonomous taxis running?

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 21:49

I would have loved to see them go at it but I'd want them both to lose.

NotAFanOfLeonMusk 2025-12-10 21:52

Right!! It would be the highlight of my week if these two assholes knocked each other out!!

Youngnathan2011 2025-12-10 21:53

Um. Elon you moron. Waymo’s been driving on roads without supervision for years at this point. You only just released your service this year, with supervisors in the cars. They have a way bigger chance at succeeding than you do, especially since they actually have all the sensors needed. Tesla’s don’t. Also Google being more transparent with Waymo data than Tesla ever has with theirs should tell you something.

That-Makes-Sense 2025-12-10 21:53

Please explain how the company is "desroyed"? Tesla is valued more than almost all of the other car companies combined.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 21:54

Even in the early days he wasn't meeting time commitments, and products were still falling short of what he promised. Like a child, he kept pushing the limits to discover he could get away with promising more and more science fantasy while people throw money at him. He's never had to suffer consequences for his lies.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 21:55

I don't want to see it because a lot more innocent people are going to get hurt. As it stands now his cars aren't safe.

Sorry_Exercise_9603 2025-12-10 21:55

Why do I have this flashback to Kevin bacon in animal house? Remain calm! All is well!

[deleted] 2025-12-10 21:56

I don't like zuck, but his bullshit is much less prominent and he didn't try to start it, so I would want him to win.

Particular-Break-205 2025-12-10 21:56

I live in an area where Waymo covers 99% of the areas I would visit (last one is our airport). It’s a mix of hilly urban area and busy freeways. I would gladly pay extra for a Waymo with Lidar than a Tesla

beren12 2025-12-10 21:57

But he’s more evil

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 21:59

No doutbt Fuckerbeg would win. He's a piece of shit too but he stays in shape.

RocketLabBeatsSpaceX 2025-12-10 21:59

Lmao

Fit-Dentist6093 2025-12-10 22:00

The products were never great. They were the only option and subsidized to hell and even with the subsidies sold at luxury prices and the company barely made any money. There's some cool technical achievements but they won the EV survival game mostly because of Elons cash and memeing but it's the shittier option for an electric car, but mass produced again because Elon went all in on factories.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 22:01

The Teslas don't even look comfortable. It's a poor design all the way around.

canadian_boi 2025-12-10 22:01

I just want my cruise control to stop phantom braking

Mildenhall1066 2025-12-10 22:02

As the stock hits $450. Seems like the only people buy Elons BS are Elon and Wall Street - I just can't see how this continues and there will never be a $1 Trillion dollar payout.

borderlineidiot 2025-12-10 22:02

When I heard he had a personal trainer teaching him how to fight, my first thought was that there is someone in the country being paid to punch Zuck in the face... Dream job.

SA2018 2025-12-10 22:06

Fair enough, they’re definitely going to be cash burning soon, if not already.

GarlicSweaty4987 2025-12-10 22:09

This is where you are wrong. I just checked with Grok and Elon would absolutely kick Tyson’s ass 😔

TheBurgareanSlapper 2025-12-10 22:09

Team Giant Earthquake Under the Arena

[deleted] 2025-12-10 22:10

Not saying he's not, but zuck isn't all over the news "throwing his heart out" at the inauguration or in charge of an effort illegally cutting funding for Congressionally approved programs.

Not_A_Doctor__ 2025-12-10 22:10

Why the fuck do people not push back against his lies. I see this loser being interviewed in long-form discussion and he's never made to account for his vast history of lies and fraud.

cseckshun 2025-12-10 22:10

Come on… do you believe for a second that the trainer is punching Zuckerberg more than Zuckerberg is punching the trainer? It’s a sweet gig I’m sure but really the trainer is being paid to GET punched by Zuckerberg

Jaguarmadillo 2025-12-10 22:12

Good point. And, being serious for a moment, I agree

-Invalid_Selection- 2025-12-10 22:15

Is tesla even running any robotaxis without a human attendant? Last I saw they had someone in the driver's seat with their hands on the wheel the whole time, like a regular ass taxi, and only in one market cause no one else will let them run over a school playground

theSchrodingerHat 2025-12-10 22:16

No, he didn’t, but that was because he couldn’t ever make it past King Hippo, which was a totally rigged fight.

Sweaty-Anteater-6694 2025-12-10 22:19

I rode in waymo and distances in Phoenix was limited on how far it can go but I felt safer in waymo than Tesla auto drive. I own a Tesla

TaifmuRed 2025-12-10 22:20

Too much drugs

Luman999 2025-12-10 22:21

Waymo uses 3 teledrivers per car. It doesn’t scale! If it scaled google would have blanketed the country with them. Cars are way too expensive, tech is crappy and too many technologies being used, LiDAR is an expensive waste. Robotaxis will make Waymo your local taxi service.

Quercus_ 2025-12-10 22:24

They aren't comfortable. I can't drive because of a medical issue, so I use Uber and public transit to get around. No Waymo on my side of the bay yet. By far the least comfortable Ubers I ride in, and it's not close, are Tesla. It's hard to get in and out of the rear seat because they have a bulky high threshold of the bottom of the door - which is an issue for somebody with a partial disability. And they have a terrible harsh ride. It's like riding in a work truck.

[deleted] 2025-12-10 22:27

Elon laughed on camera about brands like BYD. "doesn't see them as competitors haha- Tesla so great!" At this point, he still sat on the bay blossoms from the REAL Tesla founders and 'thought' this is a state of being. Now, a few years later, things look quite different, don't they? It's not necessarily a shame coming in last if you make an effort, but if the crowd went home and the janitor already turned the lights off, YOU REAAAAALLLY SUCK at whatever you are doing and should quit!

etaoin314 2025-12-10 22:27

"Ha! face to foot style, how do you like it?...oh yeah?, then try my nuts to your fist style" "I am bleeding, that makes me the victor" "pay no attention to wimp lo we purposely trained him wrong...as a joke"

zedk47 2025-12-10 22:28

True. I mean Tesla is 2nd from the top, and Waymo ranks second to last.

etaoin314 2025-12-10 22:28

as much as I was hyped for the fight, the fact that his mom stopped it is such Chefs Kiss! no notes!

borderlineidiot 2025-12-10 22:33

Don't be a spoil sport! Let me dream...

etaoin314 2025-12-10 22:36

while sympathetic to that argument, I would say its a flip of a coin whether letting him flame out now, by allowing it to crash and burn and shutting it down after only a few casualties, might ultimately save a far larger number of people from being injured or killed than if we force him to slow down a bit and be more stealthy about it.

The_300_goats 2025-12-10 22:45

Everyone was hoping to see both get punched in the face. Hard. Like bone-crunching, lip-splitting, chin-dislocating HARD Nobody really cared by who. And just in case, remember boys and girls, it is very very WRONG to advocate, encourage, or foster violence upon our overlords. Even when they do it to each other

burnmenowz 2025-12-10 22:45

Still waiting for my car to drive itself. Id trust a student driver over beta fsd

SackofBawbags 2025-12-10 22:48

I think he’s right. Even if Waymo started today, I don’t think that Waymo could catch up to Tesla in the race to roast people alive in their cars and turn their bodies to ash. In fact I can’t think of a single one.

beren12 2025-12-10 22:52

Cambridge Analytics scandal? Pushing rightwing content? Censorship? Your data is their product. Copying competitors and driving them out of business? Without Facebook trump would have never been elected. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Facebook

Br0tha5 2025-12-10 22:55

Master, I was hoping one day I could be the chosen one!

Common-Addendum-4349 2025-12-10 22:58

I just want my auto wipers to work properly.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-10 22:58

The DOT and NHTSA should have banned his cars long ago as unsafe.

RipWhenDamageTaken 2025-12-10 23:04

Bro really took “the only way to win is to not fight” to every fight

kahner 2025-12-10 23:08

"I find it increasingly difficult to reconcile Elon’s statements with reality." the 2 are irreconcilable.

[deleted] 2025-12-10 23:24

You're not wrong on any of that, which is why I don't use Meta products, except WhatsApp on the work phone because that's what all our South American folks use. But it's not as in my face as Elon has been lately.

SuperF91EX 2025-12-10 23:29

He gives FSD an A+++++

[deleted] 2025-12-10 23:37

They would still be burning cash if it wasn't for carbon credits.

TryIsntGoodEnough 2025-12-11 00:02

Can't destroy a car company when you claim it was never a car company :)

TryIsntGoodEnough 2025-12-11 00:03

They will always have a remote driver/observer... Even musk can't afford the lawsuits that would come without supervision

TryIsntGoodEnough 2025-12-11 00:04

Exactly... People want to focus on the human "safety observers" but they are actually the 2nd line, people forgot the remote drivers who are suppose to be in control at all times and the safety observers is for when that fails, let alone the fact that the vehicles are never actually full autonomous

acethinjo 2025-12-11 00:06

Okay Elon

MonsieurReynard 2025-12-11 00:07

The tesla taxi safety “driver” actually rides in the passenger seat, which is just stupid but hey, Tesla. Edit: apparently this is only for the Austin fleet.

SakaWreath 2025-12-11 00:30

Swap those and Twitler is correct.

QVRedit 2025-12-11 00:39

He should stick with facts.

dtyamada 2025-12-11 00:44

>To put it in terms that a racing enthusiast like Elon might understand: He thinks Tesla is leading the race because he can see Waymo in his rear-view mirror. What he doesn’t realize is that he isn’t ahead; he’s actually being lapped. Sounds about right. That and too much special K fries the brain.

FitnessLover1998 2025-12-11 00:50

No wonder Elon and Trump get along.

canadian_boi 2025-12-11 01:07

I hate that it turns on auto wipers when you turn on cruise control.

Brilliant_Voice1126 2025-12-11 01:10

They’ve released videos of it. He pays an MMA fighter to pretend like he’s being out wrestled. It’s so slow and pathetic it makes you feel pity for all involved.

Busy-Explanation4339 2025-12-11 01:54

I think he knows regulators won't allow it, so he's setting it up so that he can blame them. Either that or they are ready for 100% full time remote observers, because there is no way it can do fully independent level 4 like waymo can.

Fast_Jellyfish8222 2025-12-11 02:04

Waymo is ALL OVER metro Phoenix. I see them constantly. And, yeah, covered as they are with all those sensors, I’m guessing they are pretty safe at this point.

voiceOfHoomanity 2025-12-11 02:06

So how long til Musk admits he was wrong and ends up having to add LIDAR and/or radar to the suite?

Mugwump6506 2025-12-11 02:41

This guy is worth a trillion dollars?

practicaloppossum 2025-12-11 02:45

The "safety" attendant rides in the passenger seat (with a kill switch) in Austin, unless they're going on a highway, in which case the attendant is in the driver seat. The attendant rides in the driver seat in San Francisco.

ttkk1248 2025-12-11 03:02

Check out Tesla PE ratio. 300+ last time i looked.

TheBigCicero 2025-12-11 04:06

It’s really simple: would you, as a rider, ever choose a Tesla over a Waymo when your life is at stake? You know what the answer is.

Mammoth_Ad_9213 2025-12-11 04:17

Have any of u driven a Tesla with the latest version of FSD? It literally drives itself flawlessly.

your_fathers_beard 2025-12-11 04:26

Waymo is actually operating literal driverless taxi services in multiple cities...you know, that thing Elon has been promising to his cult for years at this point?

whawkins4 2025-12-11 04:55

I’ve taken 3 Waymos while in Phoenix this week, and I’ve driven a Tesla on FSD. TLDR: Tesla is cooked. Elmo doesn’t have a fucking clue what he’s talking about, as usual. Waymo experience was far superior.

whawkins4 2025-12-11 04:56

Let’s play “find the TSLA bag holder when the bubble pops.”

friendIdiglove 2025-12-11 05:03

Oh shit, he got us on a technicality! Pretty pretty smart. /s

friendIdiglove 2025-12-11 05:04

Nazi salutes, honey. Next!

Sharaku_US 2025-12-11 05:10

It's better than before but I wouldn't say it's flawless. Source: I'm on my second Model 3.

Daryltang 2025-12-11 05:20

It’s projection. He means “Tesla never had a chance again Waymo” He learnt this simple trick from an orange guy

Daryltang 2025-12-11 05:22

Because people are stupid and actually want to be led

ShotBandicoot7 2025-12-11 06:25

* TSLA pumping 50-100b$ on this news yesterday. Nice stock rally strategy by the CEO.

Chance_Value_Not 2025-12-11 07:44

Have you considered Elons extreme dedication and tenacity? He would take a punch, but his mental strength would carry him through /s

Beartrkkr 2025-12-11 07:54

The real question is why?

Capital-Ad3469 2025-12-11 08:13

It's that flying roadster isn't it? I bet you he's got some coked out fanboy engineers strapping rocket engines to some gigacast whatever so he can deliver the future of flying cars to save humanity. He's so full of himself that the thought that this is might be a really stupid idea could never cross his mind. Of course he's the one to solve the problem though sheer force of his will and genius. It's the cyberpunk all over again only more stupid and with rockets. He thinks this and all his other delusions will save him from the reality that's kicking his ass. He really is a fascinating train wreck...

MoleMoustache 2025-12-11 08:22

This era will be known as the post truth era.

ionizing_chicanery 2025-12-11 08:37

This is absolutely not the case. We don't know the exact ratio but their total employer count is roughly similar to their total vehicle count and that obviously includes far more than dedicated monitors. Waymo doesn't directly teleoperate their cars or supervise them like Tesla FSD currently is. When stuck the cars receive high level, time non-critical instructions only after they've safely come to a stop somewhere. No one tries to intervene on a split second notice to stop the car from doing something dangerous (which probably wouldn't even work reliably) and they do not require anything close to having dedicated monitors for every ride.

NinjaN-SWE 2025-12-11 09:08

You don't need to be a celebrity trainer, you can join his BJJ dojo or a nearby one and face him in amateur tournaments. Sure not much punching in BJJ but you can manhandle him however much you like.

reddit_equals_censor 2025-12-11 09:42

is that the waymo, that on good visibility days in geo fenced and mapped areas has "self driving" cars actually working at least, while tesla does not? and that waymo, that at least has the actual hardware REQUIRED to solve self driving cars in general on board, while tesla doesn't? just wondering here. i mean fuck waymo of course, but holy shit fuck tesla's lies even more.

I-Pacer 2025-12-11 10:17

Please Muskkk. Please. Remove the safety drivers. Pleeeeeaaaaasssseeee.

EczachlyLB 2025-12-11 10:58

Now thats F-ing FUNNY 😂

Schoeddl 2025-12-11 12:15

I see it similarly! Tesla, especially Elon Musk, is the master of misinformation, the king of broken promises, and the emperor of eccentricity. Therefore, no one ever stands a chance, least of all Waymo!

elysium_pictures 2025-12-11 12:23

It's good that Tesla "entered" the game. It will speed up the development of Waymo as it expands quicker now to the entire world, not only the US, something that Tesla claimed it will do a while ago. Tesla will be crushed in the process and everything that Tesla claimed they will do, will eventually be done or already is done by Waymo. But there's always next year for something for Elmo (army of Optimus robots fighting alongside Russia against Europe and driving passengers in China, sexbots, jerkbots, etc...). The only limitation is the imagination of Elmo's mind 😂.. since his shareholders will believe every bullshit that comes out of his mouth. Their true product is safe for now (TSLA) - it only took one trillion in compensation to secure that. We will hear many next 2 weeks, next year, almost finished, it's considered a solved problem now etc... in the next decade etc etc 😃. I will in the meantime keep holding Alphabet shares, watch as they become the world's most valuable company in the next 10 years while Tesla will eventually start its downfall 🍿🍿🍿 the future looks so exciting!

blobules 2025-12-11 12:48

After watching the FSD technical presentations of Waymo and Tesla at ICCV 2025 last month, I consider, as well as most people in attendance, that it's Tesla that "never had a chance" against Waymo. Tesla's "end to end" approach, essentially a blind reliance on a huge deep learning architecture, got everyone very nervous. Waymo's approach had more "engineering common sense" and relies much less on the magic of "letting the gradient flow".

RMWonders 2025-12-11 13:34

Has Tesla released a robocar that works now?

[deleted] 2025-12-11 13:54

[deleted]

whawkins4 2025-12-11 13:58

My suspicion is that it has nothing to do with FSD at all. They’re just afraid that their TSLA calls are going to expire and be worthless.

Soft_Maximum_3730 2025-12-11 14:30

Found one

Soft_Maximum_3730 2025-12-11 14:33

Exactly. If they saw what I see everyday it would break their brain.

Rounders23 2025-12-11 15:58

Musk is just one of those of people who talks, as much as I don’t like zuck the dude is a doer, got in shape and takes everything in his life seriously. Musk and trump are the the first billionaire victims in life. Everyone is against them, I’m so tired of hearing them cryv

XKeyscore666 2025-12-11 16:16

Don’t forget Twitter

Temporary_Notice5404 2025-12-11 16:26

I see them all over Los Angeles. And if waymo can successfully navigate through LA traffic they can go anywhere.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-11 17:00

I'll believe that when they can drive through a blizzard in Winter.

Pancheel 2025-12-11 18:08

He already gave a date: January 1st 2026 in Austin. So be prepared to watch... how Elon Musk says it will be done in the end of 2026...

Remarkable-Owl-5712 2025-12-11 19:02

Huh? Isn't Waymo and Tesla the only people deploying robotaxis in American cities right at this moment?

Remarkable-Owl-5712 2025-12-11 19:03

In 3 weeks when Tesla removes the safety drivers. What will your argument be then? You don't have to like Tesla the brand. But at least live in reality and use your eyes.

Remarkable-Owl-5712 2025-12-11 19:04

3 weeks. We shall see.

[deleted] 2025-12-11 19:09

Waymo is deploying fully autonomous taxis, Tesla has not deployed a single fully autonomous vehicle. Their initial market of Austin still requires a safety monitor to be in the vehicle or behind the wheel if going on the highway. Their San Francisco service requires actual drivers.

BringBackUsenet 2025-12-11 19:29

They'll be crashing all over the place. They've already had several crashes \*with\* supervision in just a few months though only 20 cars were in service. This is not a good track record, and releasing these things into the public is criminally reckless.

Habulation 2025-12-11 19:58

When is FSD supervised going to be FSD?  Can it become FSD without a redundant safety system like Wyamo?

nlaak 2025-12-11 21:37

> Tesla is valued more than almost all of the other car companies combined. "Other" car companies? I thought your lord and savior Musk said it wasn't a car company? Are you not toeing the company line for him?

yeezusosa 2025-12-11 22:02

Hmm

Calm_Historian9729 2025-12-12 01:01

Well as they used to say "it's not over until the fat lady sings" time will tell the tail of who actually won or lost anything.

ipub 2025-12-12 13:18

Let's just check. 100+ million driverless miles for waymo and 100k for Tesla, supervised. Yeah. You da best, musk

2Guns23 2025-12-12 15:43

You have auto wipers?!  (Drives 20 year old Toyota)

[deleted] 2025-12-12 21:07

Person that bribed the US into totalitarianism says what?

KPplumbingBob 2025-12-13 14:39

> Waymo uses 3 teledrivers per car. Why are you making up lies? What do you hope to gain from it?

MarchMurky8649 2025-12-13 23:53

I was under the impression he was, effectively, unhindered by regulation in Austin. Remember he initially planned to launch without anyone in the car. There was no regulation preventing him doing that, it was his decision to have an employee in the passenger seat.

Retox86 2025-12-15 12:14

You know its fully possible to let them out with one remote operator for each car supervising the drive all the time with their hand on a dead man switch ready to stop it at any given second. Of course this becomes less plausible if you have thousands of cars operating.. So yea even if they release some cars without safety drivers in them in three weeks Im still not convinced its unsupervised.

MysteriousSlice007 2025-12-16 14:03

I am a fan of work being done at Tesla and SpaceX. But the way Musk/Tesla fans blindly defend the company over real/superior competitors is just baffling.

ArQ7777 2025-12-17 00:12

Trump is OK but everybody hates Elon. When I said everybody, I mean 99% of the world population.

Street-Badger 2026-01-01 12:52

Aged well

Street-Badger 2026-01-01 12:54

The ad copy could be:  Waymo:  With LIDAR and safety doors.

Street-Badger 2026-01-01 12:56

He has to do it eventually but it will screw over all current owners and start their fleet back at zero when he does.  Also the software will need to be rebuilt from the ground up so it’s basically an admission of being back at the starting line.
