Keep them coming

Engunnear 2025-11-17 19:11

> In fact, there’s another similar lawsuit in the same county as the Tran lawsuit, which is about to go to trial unless Tesla settles it soon. It involves a drunk driver on Autopilot crashing into 5 police officers, injuring them in the process. **The officers are suing Tesla with a similar approach to that of Tran in this case.** This is exactly what needs to happen - people with no loyalty to Tesla need to be the ones filing suits. You can’t hide behind blaming the operator when Dipshit himself is re-Xitting morons acting irresponsibly, and captioning it with “Tesla’s cars can drive themselves!”

Bulky_Specialist9645 2025-11-17 19:14

Tesla has the highest rate of fatal accidents per mile driven and the highest accident rate per 1,000 drivers. Many more lawsuits to follow...

Smells like a strong buy signal to the cult

GinnedUp 2025-11-17 19:36

We have 2 older Teslas and don't use their full (lol) self (supervised) driving any more. We found it to be untrustworthy and at times dangerous. It doesn't fully function in bright sunlight, rain or snow. Limits highway driving speed in some weather events when I can see fine. Misreads or misses altogether road signs. We understand that our older models have computers and cameras that may never be able to use the "finished software." We want our money back plus, for the lies and placing us in known dangerous situations.

The highest in the Hyundai Venue at 13.9 per billion miles, the Tesla model y is 10th on the list at 10.6. Wasted my time with your nonsense.

Engunnear 2025-11-17 21:07

Maybe try looking at brands instead of models.

I-Pacer 2025-11-17 21:35

Had to scroll further than expected to see this.

Normal-Selection1537 2025-11-17 21:39

Why there hasn't been more is because Tesla's sales agreement forces arbitration so the drivers can't sue, it has to be other victims.

Lacrewpandora 2025-11-17 22:01

Weird, its been Tesplained to me many times that the fine print when activating AP absolves TSLA of any responsibility for its misleading marketing and naming of "autopilot". Surely this is a mistake.

MoleMoustache 2025-11-17 22:15

Nah, bog off, you're in here all the time just defending Tesla like a robot. But a real robot, not the fake shit Elon pumps out.

rhedfish 2025-11-17 22:15

Finally, lawyers on the scent!

Engunnear 2025-11-17 22:19

Exactly… plus there’s the weird cult-like relationship that develops once one buys a Tesla.

crezzy07 2025-11-17 22:26

I recently test drove a new Y and 3 from a showcase, and just bought an older Y last week( for 200+ mile commuter costs). I never bought it for the FSD, as I knew going into this purchase, I would never use the FSD. The point being at the showcase when I was offered the FSD demo, and the Tesla brake slammed for a shadow on the road. Luckily, there was no one behind us, and we just looked at each other like, really!

The only person that binds is the owner, not the victims, or the loved ones of owners that died

Stock up 4% today on the news. 🤡

practicaloppossum 2025-11-18 00:31

Interesting that Tesla's defense seemed to be that the driver had been drinking in a casino. As far as I know, casinos are not legal in Texas, the closest one would be in Lake Charles LA, about 150 miles away. While I suspose it's not impossible, it seems unlikely that someone would still be drunk driving in Houston if they started in Lake Charles (indeed, as anyone who's driven I-10 thru Beaumont could tell you, it's unlikely a drunk would succeed in getting thru there).

Mr-Zappy 2025-11-18 00:59

I believe they have been fulfilling the second half of the commitment. Less so the first part.

4 families couldn't get a good law firm  It is proven it's deadly. They got a case to refer to! A fresh one!

neonmantis 2025-11-18 09:50

Try Dhaka

neonmantis 2025-11-18 09:59

Even then you can't sign away your inalienable rights. Tesla have knowingly misled customers and they are now being held responsible for the results of that.

-michalis- 2025-11-18 12:14

Yes, I am not a lawyer but I think you are correct, I dont think you can absolve yourself with a contract if you did something criminal

soldieroscar 2025-11-18 12:39

This… I also found it to be a crazy risk. Like you are a beta tester with your life on the line.

dtyamada 2025-11-18 14:04

Going to trial isn't the sign of a good firm or not. Trials tend to be long, including the appeals process, and can put the family through a lot of stress. If you can get fair value without going to trial, it saves the family a lot of anguish and gets them the money sooner. The 'fresh case' just helps them get more money.

Desperate-Hearing-55 2025-11-18 15:29

Not according to Tesla and Musk. Tesla is the safest car of all with millions of miles and still counting. FSD less accidents and are saving lifes according Tesla and Tesla fanbase. [https://www.tesla.com/fsd/safety](https://www.tesla.com/fsd/safety)
