Can confirm. Our 2019 Model X is currently in for battery repair albeit a little different issue. They told me we are lucky that it is not a model 3, for those batteries there are apparently long wait lists.

Well to be fair, they actively work to support their domestic industry by being tougher on international competitors - not so different from most.
