Well, yeah. They're cool.
The majority of people I see complaining about Tesla are those without one. Most people that have Tesla’s don’t like just like them but continue to be over the moon with their purchase. Looking forward to buying in the next week.
I got an M3P last year. I promise you wont regret it lol
Came from a 4-series BMW and couldn’t be happier with my 2025 M3P. If Elon hadn’t lost the plot - and put that energy towards Model 2 (instead of cybertruck) - Tesla would still be industry leading. Instead - they’re in a death spiral… or at least would be… but kept afloat by Elon’s never-fully-realised promises of the future
Only people I see defending them are those who own one. Funny how that works.
I don’t own one and I’m defending them
Tesla makes great cars. But lately they are making trash business decisions. Taking away basic auto steer on highway was a terrible strategy. It's not making me subscribe to FSD. It's making me want to buy the R2 instead.
I don’t mind the CT, but since they dropped the original exoskeleton design and went unibody anyway, I think they actually would have had a hit with a proper, roomy 3 row minivan instead. I have a 7 seater MX, and while it’s awesome, it’s nowhere near as flexible and roomy as my minivan. A Sprinter equivalent would be great as well for camping and hospitality but obviously more niche.

year 3 of owning my 22' model Y. finding more and more creaks/squeaks and rattles, ive got so much foam inside my panels now. am i the only one? no complaints otherwise
Wouldn't you agree that someone who owns one is indeed in the best position to defend (or attack) them? Why would this surprise you? Why would you think this is even interesting?
Uh huh. Cool story bro.
The ones who own them have the most to gain from defending them. I'm not saying this guy is wrong or right, I just find it hilarious he said people who don't own them are more likely to complain about them, as if the opposite isn't true either. You wouldn't buy a Tesla if you complain about them.
Lol no.
I suspect it has more to do with California’s actions than anything else.
The pay package for the ceo requires a certain amount of fsd subscriptions so there is suspicion that plays a role into no more autopilot. I can’t not have fsd now that I’ve lived with it for a while. Hope competing products come on the market within the next year.
Competing products will also cost subscription fees.
I’m happy to pay for FSD for what it provides. I use it all the time. So as I said, bring on competing products so I can shop other brands
>The ones who own them have the most to gain from defending them. This somehow never stops people who own other cars from complaining about them. This argument is a bit too "just so" to be convincing. >I just find it hilarious he said people who don't own them are more likely to complain about them Really. So you do not find it odd that people who effectively have no horse in the race are the ones who complain about them with the kind of obsessiveness usually only found in hospitals with padded rooms? >You wouldn't buy a Tesla if you complain about them. True, but do you really need me to explain the logical mistake you are making here?
Teslas are some of the best vehicles you can get right now. I didn’t get one because of Elon, not because the cars suck. And the cybertruck is the best luxury sedan on the market. It’s just not very good at being a truck and it’s ugly.
If you want, I have owned two (previously a model 3 and currently a model y); like all cars, it has its goods and its bad. I’m happy to provide a list of current things that I complain about frequently as a Tesla owner…
How can you say R2 is better when literally nobody has driven one yet? That being said, I have one reserved and plan to buy- 😂
I don't know, I bitch about mine constantly. But the only reason I don't want another is Elon.
Wow, I didn’t know Model Ys were so long. How do you find a garage that fits?
Plenty of us complain about the dumb decisions Tesla has made with their cars and the build quality as well. Personally, I'm looking forward to Telo MT1 making it to market so I can get rid of my Model Y.
If Tesla are leading the way, why are their sales falling?
Many EV sales are falling Tesla was first to the game and now people are finally catching up - sadly they don’t have a low cost car which would help So they are leveling out - like apple after a couples years of iPhone But still you can see model Y sells very well
I thought it was not their decision, but to comply with a court ruling. https://youtu.be/MnmBDOkIU0g?si=OKrUqdmnLxD3YCbB
I heard Elon is not interested in the competition, it's way too competitive now, the first to market gravy train has stopped , the Chinese have caught up and passed Tesla . The cars, meh, the company, pump it.
I've owned mine for 2.5 years, reliability has been spotless. Pleasure to drive it.
Where made?
We were satisfied with our Tesla. Three months left to go with it on our lease and we can't wait to leave the brand!
Hoping R2 will be as popular as the Y. Let's have 2 great options in this class of EVs.
What did California force on Tesla? Remove lane keep assist? Most cars have that as standard or an option. I know California required Tesla to remove the term "autopilot". That doesn't mean Tesla has to remove the safety feature, right? Just not call it "autopilot"?
the lucid is really good but costs some more
How many people on the Internet have never sat in a Tesla but say they're crap? Funny how that works, eh?
Do you mean a Lucid Gravity? I'm considering the Y or R2 as my next car. Probably will have to be a Y due to timing and wanting a new car now instead of next year or after. I think Lucid Gravity is like me considering a Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot, I wouldn't be thinking about Mercedes GLS or BMW X7 as contenders.
I think it's because they only have 2 car models they sell. Need more classes of vehicles. The 3 and Y are class leading. Their truck should be made a truck. Would have been interesting to see if the robo taxi would have been a seller if Tesla made it a car to sell to people with smaller battery as a city car? They've tapped out the small sporty sedan and 2 row SUV segments. Let's see if the stretched model Y with 3 row will be a hit? Maybe that will be the new 2nd gen X? Increase the luxury features, make it 450 mile range, put air suspension on it.
What don’t you like about the vehicles themselves?
LOL. I loved my 2018 Model 3 but my 2023 Model Y was literally the worst car I've ever owned. The service experience and ownership experience was so off the walls terrible that I ended up going back to ICE with a Wrangler. I'd gone on all in on EV's and solar back in 2013, never thought I'd see the day where I would literally be so sour on EV"s that I go back to gasoline cars, but here we are...
I was in love until I wasn't. Model 3 i bought in 2018 was flawless and never needed service. Fast forward to 2023 and buying a new Model Y and it was literally one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. Took me two years to finally give up on it and trade it away. I hated EVERY minute of driving that fucking thing. Worst suspension I've ever had, worst climate control system, always fogged up, door seals that constantly came out of whack. Air rushing into the cabin when i get passed by larger vehicles because the hatch wont seal properly. It was literally nonstop bullshit for the two years I owned it. I'll NEVER buy another Tesla after how they handled it and how I was treated by their service people. I tell everyone I know my story in hopes they wont make the same mistake and buy a fucking piece of shit Tesla.
While not the same level as FSD, [Comma/OpenPilot](https://comma.ai/vehicles#tesla) is a solid option for hands free driving.
Highway only and relies on the cars stock hardware for longitudinal control. So it helps with auto steer and that’s about it. Have followed comma since inception.
Good God. Imagine the childlike thinking of someone who believes a Tesla is a car any reasonable person would want to be seen in.
“Class leading” = no good reviews or awards for years, fewer Cybertruck sales than Edsel sold cars, and plummeting quality.
It must keep you up at night seeing model ys everywhere
Apart from unlucky picks or older models, they make great cars. And they make for a very good EV experience with the supercharger network, that’s for sure.
You thought Juniper model y had worse suspension than 2018 Model 3? If 2023, that could have been the 'old' model Y, which had bad suspension, but should be similar to 2018 Model 3 though. The Juniper model y has quieter cabin and one of the best suspension. I have 2022 M3 so I know how bumpy it can be but I also drove 2025 Model y which is just night and day different. Just my experience. not trying to 'defend' tesla.
My 22' M3 has 75K miles on it. It does squeak here and there but not to the degree that annoys me so I need foams. But I understand your point and share similar experience.
My 2023 supposedly had the upgraded comfort suspension. It was also supposed to have more insulated quieter cabin, however, due to the build quality inconsistencies at the Fremont factory it was actually worse in every single way than my 2018 model3.
They do not consistently make great cars sometimes they do sometimes they don’t. That’s my biggest issue with them. inconsistency
This bot is an Israeli shill
22 model y also but with 170k miles. Needed to replace suspension but aside from that I've not had to do any real maintenance on it (except tires) Been hearing some steering squeak when I turn all the way to the right though
Been a diehard fan for 6 years. Owner for 5 years. Won't buy a new Tesla unless it comes with autopilot or better for free.
China - i am in Australia. i've changed shocks to the Koni Active and its great! the squeaks and other rattles inside the car is very annoying though. i've put foam on the inside of all the door panels / dash panel / speakers/ boot. sprayed WD40 on anything plastic touching plastic/ foam and tape inside the seat belt pillars. looks like a common issue in M3 and MY if you search on youtube.
My 22 is Chinese, it's still tight af. Amazing really.
Troll much🤣🤣
