*cries in HW3*

NimecShady 2025-11-27 05:19

Right there with ya bud heh

Tickle_Me_Fast 2025-11-27 05:32

Received the trial but it’s not 14.2. How do I upgrade?

iulius 2025-11-27 05:38

Interesting. I find 14.2 to be a regression. V13 had issues (primarily the inability to plan ahead to get in the right lane for a turn or off ramp), but was at least generally smooth. V14 didn’t fix 13’s issues and made the ride jerkier: phantom breaking, indecisive lane changes, swerving around shadows… I must be in the minority because this is not the version I’d want a bunch of people trying.

Matt_NZ 2025-11-27 05:38

I wonder when v14 will arrive in NZ/Aus? There haven't been too many updates since the v13 release here...

hi_internet_friend 2025-11-27 05:38

Cries in 2.5 😂

Lostbot218 2025-11-27 05:49

Same here. Like exactly your comment

markbraggs 2025-11-27 05:50

Score. Just in time for holiday travel. They are going to get so much data

natebookair 2025-11-27 05:58

It really is wild how varied the experiences are. For me, 14.2 has been, honestly approaching Elon’s hype on it. Then I see just as many other people with your opinion. Hopefully it all comes together for everyone soon.

LoogyHead 2025-11-27 06:00

I haven’t received 14.2 yet but 14.1.7 is actually competent with parking in my driveway, and had better response to traffic jams in my area. I’m still nervous allowing it to use Zipper merge lanes correctly.

rydah805 2025-11-27 06:02

Exact same. To the point I'm yelling at my car and telling it things it shouldn't be hearing lol

kghyr8 2025-11-27 06:15

It’s pretty dang good on my hw3 model 3. I’ll buy a new Tesla when they get to unsupervised.

[deleted] 2025-11-27 06:19

If the system actually reaches that point, they will actually assume all liability when the system is active. Not the current situation where they can just blame you for all of its failures and take credit when it works well.

Zigaza 2025-11-27 06:20

Updated to 14.2 last night. Just drove it for the first time this evening… I hated it. Hurry max out at 75mph, and Mad max goes to 85 every chance it gets. Not cool!! Very annoying in fact. before the update was perfect. Hurry max out at 80. Now in hurry, it drives 75 in the left lane where people here in California is driving 80!!! They have to fix this asap pleaseeeee. Bring back the old scrolling speed limit please ffs.

MusicAromatic505 2025-11-27 06:23

I’m still waiting for 14.2 to be available to download!

Electronic_Border266 2025-11-27 06:28

Why is FSD the same price for HW3??

elmonoh 2025-11-27 06:46

Wow! Can't wait to not give a shit!

FlatAd768 2025-11-27 06:46

What if I already subscribe month to month how can I get it free

pjax_ 2025-11-27 07:02

Because it doesn't benefit Tesla to get more people to use FSD on HW3. In fact, owners on HW3 with FSD is a big problem for Tesla because Tesla promised to upgrade them in the future. I'm more surprised that Tesla is still allowing owners of HW3 vehicles to buy FSD.

mercurial_dude 2025-11-27 07:14

Dammit even the crying emoji isn’t updated in 2.5… /s

woalk 2025-11-27 07:16

Where did they promise that? I thought they have said that HW3 is “perfectly capable”.

Original_Boot7956 2025-11-27 07:16

Already had two trials of this, let’s see if they fixed the phantom breaking on freeways and always driving me to the fastest lane regardless of my speed!

gamer-chachu 2025-11-27 07:18

They need more test data for v14.3 😊

DammatBeevis666 2025-11-27 07:18

I actually like FSD on HW3 on city streets (San Francisco, for example. Especially in traffic, it does quite well. It’s the suburban areas which seem to give it more difficulty.

AdministrativeAd9828 2025-11-27 07:30

So if I cancel my subscription now I’ll get a free month?

TheMindsEIyIe 2025-11-27 07:31

It seems like they need more testing miles to feed into the model. V14 became available for me today but I'm holding off... not sure what to do.

Jaxxxz 2025-11-27 07:35

Cries European/UK tears

colinstalter 2025-11-27 07:39

What’s crazy is we’ve had the same complaints for YEARS. One step forward two steps back

darksplit 2025-11-27 07:39

Nice! I’ve been waiting for it to happen again

ta11_kid 2025-11-27 07:40

Fix the dam merging . Whis does try to fucking pass cars when the exit it .6 miles away and miss the exit . Just stay in the fucking lane

Wrong_Chip_5945 2025-11-27 07:52

Yes! It’s so annoying!

BlackheartRegia2 2025-11-27 08:04

The have since rescinded that claim

IDNWID_1900 2025-11-27 08:17

They are delaying FSD for HW3 as long as possible so users get rid of their cars and they just pay for those who join the class action law suit. It's probably cheaper than retro fitting all current cars.

808_GhostRider 2025-11-27 09:00

My 26’ model y does this all day everyday. Point A to Point B.

clay-tri1 2025-11-27 09:21

Was just about to post “cries in HW3 in my MSP”

Momo411176 2025-11-27 09:49

I would think twice if you’re still on 13.2.9 and you really care about comfort.

THATS_LEGIT_BRO 2025-11-27 10:25

Not 100% sure, but I think we all just get to skip a payment. Edit: this is also what happened earlier this year when 13.x came out. https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/1975/how-to-enjoy-your-one-month-free-trial-of-teslas-full-self-driving-fsd

AnaIPlease 2025-11-27 10:44

Yeah I just got 14.2, and Hurry is capping at 75. Seems like all of the speed profiles got their max speeds lowered by 5mph. The hesitation in lane changes is pretty frustrating, too. So far this seems like a big step back

mensrea 2025-11-27 12:09

They should not; it does not work well. 14.1.7 was better in a lot of ways.

LionTigerWings 2025-11-27 12:13

I think they like when you show it off to family in town for holidays.

jherrm17 2025-11-27 12:48

Thanks for the trial Tesla but I’m still not spending thousands on this shit after the trial is done

Keem773 2025-11-27 12:55

Only HW4 owners? Oooof!! Not a good look for those that already feel shafted

Salty_Leather42 2025-11-27 13:00

Still waiting as an early adopter on HW3

Possible_Version2680 2025-11-27 13:19

Kinda funny how everyone getting 14.2 or the email and here I am stuck on 14.1.4 and didn’t get an email

Alert-Discount-2558 2025-11-27 13:20

Yes it will back itself out of my garage and make a three point turn in my driveway.

BryGuyB 2025-11-27 13:50

This was exactly my experience going from v13 to v14.1 but now v14.2 seems to have remedied all of that and now it’s amazing.

No_Purpose6384 2025-11-27 13:55

For it to work on HW3 they need to adjust the code to make space to fit in random phantom braking and additional RNG to the windshield wiper behavior.

pantherpack84 2025-11-27 13:59

You really think your Tesla will last 15+ years?

DangerousSolution78 2025-11-27 14:14

Unusable! FSD has never missed an exit for me on any version, up until 14.2, over five times now

WackedInTheWack 2025-11-27 14:19

I pay monthly since last trial and it is worth every penny.

Haniel120 2025-11-27 14:24

I want them to bring back radar; I really believed in Elons' original spiel about how it can be "better than human drivers because it can see what you couldn't possibly see from the car" The cameras will certainly be enough, eventually, but why settle for "enough"

sevaiper 2025-11-27 14:26

It’s the highway lane changes in traffic that are way worse. Everything else is honestly very good for me.

Swastik496 2025-11-27 14:26

You could buy a new model 3 in late 2023 and have HW3. Those buyers aren’t going anywhere for a long time.

Swastik496 2025-11-27 14:27

I have no reason to doubt it’ll last atleast 10 more.

IDNWID_1900 2025-11-27 14:29

Those are part of the ones he will have to pay. The ones from 2016-2020 tho...

natebookair 2025-11-27 14:41

Like I said, very different experiences. Highway lane changes have been fine for me. Sometimes I wish they would initiate faster after putting the blinker on, but they’ve been smooth and confident once they start.

Craig_in_PA 2025-11-27 14:45

Where and when is this class action and how many pennies on the dollar will we be receiving?

adrr 2025-11-27 14:47

You can’t rescind a claim after we bought it. My invoice says full self-driving car capable and musk said my car will be capable of self driving which is why I paid $5000 for feature that wasn’t even out yet. Either give me back from $5000 or retrofit the car. It already has been upgraded to 3.5.

P3NNYWIS3420 2025-11-27 15:02

We always get left out lol

BlackheartRegia2 2025-11-27 15:04

Oof paying $5k for something that doesn’t exist is rough. Sorry bud

pjax_ 2025-11-27 15:10

They said that they will retrofit your car... but they never said when. That's the catch. They can easily just kick this issue down the road forever. Also, as explained by [this](https://dobinlaw.com/dobin-tesla-arbitration-fsd-refund/) lawyer, getting a refund is not going to be easy. Good luck with that $5000.

Horror_Discussion_65 2025-11-27 15:23

Same in my 21 MSP.

petitgandalf 2025-11-27 15:30

And Europe? 🙏

c0wboyroy30 2025-11-27 15:40

What software version will include FSD 14.2? Tried getting my HW4 Model Y to update but it seems like it’s hanging out on 2025.38.9

softsummer10 2025-11-27 15:41

I had the same experience. V13 was really great for me, I completed a 2,000 mile road trip with almost no interventions. When I got back home, I updated to V14 and now I can’t even use it on my commute. I had to cancel my subscription since it’s mostly useless for me now. I even thought I had a hardware issue or something because of the huge difference.

CarCooler 2025-11-27 15:42

[HW4 computer has an HD Radar](https://www.teslaoracle.com/2023/06/19/tesla-teardown-confirms-the-presence-of-the-new-radar-in-hw4-equipped-vehicles/), but it's inactive.

Particular-Salad2591 2025-11-27 15:46

Trust me bro, this time it's perfect..

omnisync 2025-11-27 15:50

Cancelled my subscription "in HW3"

1188339 2025-11-27 15:51

They need to lower the price to $50cdn.

Pro_Vita1925 2025-11-27 15:55

Don’t.

TeslaCyclone 2025-11-27 16:06

Our older Model S is almost 13 years old at this point with barely an issue except for noisy creaks here and there. I see no reason our newer cars would last as long. We have a 2013, a 2018, and a 2023 for reference.

hashswag00 2025-11-27 16:07

Just make sure there are no leaves blowing around...

jayjayaitch 2025-11-27 16:15

Yeah, I’m on this software version too. I’m wondering the same thing and if we’ll still get the trial when we eventually get the updated version.

DelosHost 2025-11-27 16:17

I had a loaner this week with HW4 and FSD 14.2. It finally made me get anxious for a retrofit or something to bring the car up to par. It was really impressive.

c0wboyroy30 2025-11-27 16:32

In previous trials where the car didn’t update right away, it did give the 30 days from when the car finally updated. So I will wait patiently.. for now lol

jayjayaitch 2025-11-27 16:35

That’s what I was hoping for. I’m not complaining, but if I were, I’d have preferred this come out when the weather wasn’t so terrible either lol.

AllNoise-NoSignal 2025-11-27 16:46

As someone bearish on the stock, I applaud this move. If this turns out to be a big success then congrats to Elon and to Tesla stock supporters. However, this is also a risky move in that it could involve a sudden surge in people relying on FSD while ignoring the 'Supervised' part of the equation, resulting in a spike in Tesla involved accidents. It will also demonstrate just how many people will be willing to commit to the $99/mo subscription cost, and thus give stock analysts a better sense of what kind of cash flow Tesla can maybe expect from this technology. Especially as competing technology such as Super Cruise goes for less than half of that amount. Anywho, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

QuantumProtector 2025-11-27 17:00

It keeps missing exits for me and will cut people off

AdditionalLead7265 2025-11-27 17:10

Currently still on my 3 months free from delivery, hoping I get another month added on

noAtlas 2025-11-27 17:15

I've had this too. Swerves to avoid swirling leaves, dodges skid marks on the highway. Overall a regression at this point, wish I hadn't upgraded yet.

thekeesh1 2025-11-27 17:36

Yo same! I am a big FSD fan and 14.2 has been tough - it has served super hard into a turn lane for no apparent reason twice. Wife was in the car both times, which means FSD is in timeout for awhile.

Malacasts 2025-11-27 17:42

Chilling in my HW3 performance model 🤣

Malacasts 2025-11-27 17:43

Cost me $5k for my HW3 🤣

Malacasts 2025-11-27 17:45

It'll probably be a class action lol

Levfo 2025-11-27 17:51

I’m on hw3 and it does the exact same thing.

Aytewun 2025-11-27 17:59

Got my 2023 HW3 MYP like a month before HW4 (red camera models) started popping up. Not complaining really. Just saying that many will be keeping their cars for a long time.

jtmonkey 2025-11-27 18:02

Yes. And mine is only a 2023 that I bought at the end of that years make. Ah well. I stopped using FSD after my second free trial. Maybe in 5 years when I get another one it’ll actually work.

garyscomics 2025-11-27 18:06

Top comment in every thread on this sub is always complaining Edit: top 10 comments in this thread are all complaints. Pretty fuckin cool of Tesla to do this honestly.

wachuu 2025-11-27 18:10

I'm with you on this. I don't think lidar is useful enough over vision to warrant it, but radar probably is. Watching videos of autopilot from years ago with just one camera and radar, the radar seemed very powerful, being able to somewhat 'see' ahead of the car in front of them by bouncing the radar under the car. Vision and lidar can't do that. There has been videos where the Tesla reacts and avoids collisions that it couldn't possibly see otherwise. Also ultra sonics so it knows with centimeter accuracy where nearby objects are. The whole goal is to never touch anything with the car, ultra sonics facilitate that very well

Due-University5222 2025-11-27 18:15

They are doing it because the FSD take rate is so low. It is good marketing to existing customers -- except for the HW3 (and before) customers.

MarqBarq 2025-11-27 18:19

And those of us on HW3 and paid $8000 for it still get nothing.

Due-University5222 2025-11-27 18:20

Tesla's HW3 actions make it unlikely to increase the take rate for FSD. Why would anyone trust Tesla when they leave some of their best customers stewing over FOMO?

Due-University5222 2025-11-27 18:24

I did 2 zipper merges yesterday in MadMax and had no issues. It did miss an exit from trying to merge -- bad/delayed planning.

Due-University5222 2025-11-27 18:31

I have v12 (22MYP) and v14 (25M3AWD). I think v14 handles many complex situations better than v12. However, v14 has lots of kinks to work out. With v12 and v13 I know what it is going to do. I am sensitive to the fact I accepted the risk to test v14 while other drivers did not accept that risk. I try to be super diligent.

garyscomics 2025-11-27 18:32

Nice - still a bonus they didn't have to offer!

tandex01 2025-11-27 18:50

Vapourware.

Solarsurferoaktown 2025-11-27 19:17

True

SufficientSwim141 2025-11-27 19:26

Congrats to the AI and Tesla team most importantly? They are the ones actually working on this and building FSD

[deleted] 2025-11-27 19:32

Jetzt sollte ich in Nordamerika leben. Deutschland ist so abgeschlagen.

maddenforce 2025-11-27 19:37

I mean, they won’t even give HW3 a free month of FSD just to make us feel wanted. That’s crazy!

Former-Discount4279 2025-11-27 19:37

Hw4 owner here, you'd have to pay me a pretty large amount of money to actually use this.

AdditionalLead7265 2025-11-27 19:40

I mean it's not a perfect product let's just be honest here.

hampsten 2025-11-27 19:50

Got the email last night. Looking forward to trying it out, though we don't have any major travel planned in the near future.

AllNoise-NoSignal 2025-11-27 20:02

Oh, amen to that! Elon gets far too much credit for what is actually the hard work of tons of other people. I sympathize that they have him representing the company (there can be no denying he has pushed a double-digit % of the original customer base away from the brand).

AllNoise-NoSignal 2025-11-27 20:04

The DMV case in CA could give some remedy to HW3 owners, at least those in California. It's been 125 days since that hearing ended, so the judge could be dropping a ruling any day now.

Ahsogood 2025-11-27 20:30

Not interested. I don't feel safe using it.

Thor200587 2025-11-27 20:50

Wonder if the goal is to sell more subscriptions or if they want more data faster.

[deleted] 2025-11-27 21:02

Of course, they're both the goal

jitin999 2025-11-27 23:00

God damn it.. just subscribed yesterday to try out 14.2😭

everytingiriemon 2025-11-27 23:06

Newbie question: are leased Teslas exempt?

sonobono11 2025-11-28 00:14

14.2 has been phenomenal for me

OkTransportation8325 2025-11-28 02:53

Why is Australia stuck on v13 for hw4 cars. Boring!!!

babykoy 2025-11-28 03:50

My car is getting fixed right now :( there is no way i can adjust the dates right now:(

Mahadshaikh 2025-11-28 04:24

It stacks, so it'll be free for a month

Mahadshaikh 2025-11-28 04:27

I'm on hardware for with version 13 in the fastest speed profile and it always pretty much does the same thing regularly.  People complaining that it never used to do that obviously used the slower profiles. So by the time I upgrade to 14.2.1, I'm hoping either this issue is resolved which should be but if it by chance isn't, it'll be pretty much the same for me regardless

Mahadshaikh 2025-11-28 04:28

You'll get one month free

[deleted] 2025-11-28 05:29

2024 MY, just got the email Your Tesla will be able to complete driving maneuvers, navigating traffic, parking and more under your active supervision. To download, open the Software tab on your Model Y touchscreen menu and tap install to start your trial.\* For faster download, connect to Wi-Fi.  With over [6.5 billion miles of driving experience](https://link.tesla.com/ls/click?upn=u001.pWUC6dM8Msun3LxPCegEXHfyv-2FCq4uu0POlrqqAw7FL8CsPQmfOTkmtc4BMMTArCp-2FnTFPZN-2FSf-2BdHNRWeWImu8Gb8ZEYJ6tkTyzghuij4I220Y0yVb4NxkzySyBx4btsAcWG3qCaaCz-2B-2FXbq4ZfDMcvAbnLX41XjEUhx-2BE5PGf1S5nnYQV83t20yraEF3fstOHVKyolgDSrcTyG2O2ycuejYTukTKES4qy9Y0gJGXBfwb237-2BhA0fBsBlu3FQsdDWUg4qOIT2iZ7bALhHSnwQ-3D-3DMAVD_EnaqNeDicjPv00mXNAwzVBjMgNazrqD-2FQllpVwjh20vk-2BKx8gCV3bhRUHqG55AG3F-2F4CI4vD5AFWfYhj1VW82EnCx0hMqdBp7DlZRGprUoYaWKQFZ4pOAca3NUvjd0Zoo9y0EzGYEJZgATvzXGxj-2FXlt6Tbk7gorXKopf6R8jc4JLWfzzOB1scLC-2BL4kMp-2B-2Fsyofy5v1GCU4-2B76ErBTup1LI5ljndqz47NPItpYNyT-2BUdT0NzpHgdmwl-2FmvuSN3BZhWJfJ1QYywnGne7O2Kiz7t8KRYuarYAFdgAOYhlZhf8movgBRwFLRvh24TdhwpK), FSD (Supervised) helps keep you safer.

potatoriot 2025-11-28 05:37

There already is one. https://www.tedlaw.com/california-judge-certifies-tesla-class-action-over-full-self-driving-autonomy/

regmeyster 2025-11-28 06:24

Do you have to be connected to wifi to get this free trial?

Responsible_Koala118 2025-11-28 06:28

I just started the 2025.38.9.6 download, which, according to [tessie.com](http://tessie.com), includes FSD 14.2.1. It's taking much longer to install than it usually does (43% complete after 1 hour, 15 minutes), perhaps because of the FSD code. That, or their servers are getting pounded right now!

VaultiusMaximus 2025-11-28 06:49

Weird. Got scammed by a known scammer. Whodathunkit?

ExpensiveInspector91 2025-11-28 06:50

Will those who pay month to month get a free month

VaultiusMaximus 2025-11-28 06:53

Better join the class action because you aren’t getting that upgrade

VaultiusMaximus 2025-11-28 06:53

Maybe don’t buy shit that doesn’t exist?

JaniceRossi_in_2R 2025-11-28 13:21

So glad I’m on auto renew🙄

JaniceRossi_in_2R 2025-11-28 13:27

Did you see a confirmation of this or get an email?

Zebraitis 2025-11-28 13:51

Received my notice today, I see the offer is tied to the VIN. Mine is a low milage 2024 MYP. And, if Elon wants me to buy, he should make it $4K. Because I think part of his Trillion compensation package is tied to FSD packages sold. So... just trying to help a brother out. That's me. Generous to a fault.

medszilla26 2025-11-28 15:30

Got mine this morning, trials goes on until January 7! I’m so excited

Arthroplaster 2025-11-28 15:49

Bruh I bought my car at 2AM in the morning when I found a sweet deal like 2 weeks ago. This was my first Tesla. 23 Model Y LR AWD. Then like 2 days ago I learned the difference between HW3 and HW4. I sheet accepted delivery and everything is signed lol. I never really used autopilot/FSD because I just love to drive manually but still would’ve been nice to have HW4. I’ve been kicking myself for not looking on reddit before making a purchase

LlamaLegacy 2025-11-28 16:05

Isn't it only 30 days? Or were you already subbed to FSD?

mrwizard209 2025-11-28 16:28

So they aren't collecting enough data to improve the system, so they will offer it free to be able to get the data needed. Then they will raise the price.

Life_Vermicelli4717 2025-11-28 17:24

Does it work for leases?

OkAmbassador8161 2025-11-28 17:52

The old man lessened learned take does not what tesla did as well as advertised by the damn CEO legal.

CelestialCuttlefishh 2025-11-28 17:58

That's a good point. More free advertising. I'm probably going to end up doing this myself.

CelestialCuttlefishh 2025-11-28 18:00

Did anyone else get more than 30 days? My current trial essentially got extended. Was supposed to expire on Dec 12th but now expires on Jan 20th. Which is more like 40 days.

Pojomofo 2025-11-28 18:02

Yes, but not quite that long. I just got the email, mine says it starts today and lasts until Jan. 7th

Pojomofo 2025-11-28 18:03

Fine by me. I dont drive enough to warrant buying it at all so if i get free trials in the meantime, im all for it!

EddiewithHeartofGold 2025-11-28 18:05

Unless you are forced to buy it, I don't see the problem.

EddiewithHeartofGold 2025-11-28 18:07

How is it vapourware?

trak0r 2025-11-28 19:18

This is why I haven't upgraded to H/W 3 in my 2.5 car. I'm waiting until retrofit 4 is available to 2.5 cars.

olifuck 2025-11-28 19:47

Are they including Canada in North America lol just asking as I got nothing at this time

weapon_k 2025-11-28 20:34

Need it to drive me home in new years. Gonna wait until December 2nd to update and activate the 30 day trial.

MusicAromatic505 2025-11-28 20:49

I have it now and have some mixed feelings about it. The FSD is definitely much smoother than before. However, where it was virtually flawless with its navigation, even with 14.1.7, there were numerous times where I had to either interfere by using the accelerator (the car unnaturally slowed down, even while using the Mad Max profile), but it got several destinations wrong, forcing me to disengage and take over. The one big bright spot is that for the first time EVER, my car backed in to my carport while using FSD without any interference on my part. It did it automatically, which is any HUGE plus as far as I’m concerned!!!

DangerousSolution78 2025-11-28 22:57

Oh no, no no no, I would rather be on version 13 all day right now. 14.2 is far far far worse than 13 was. No comparison.

Mahadshaikh 2025-11-28 23:10

I've heard 14.2.1 was addressed those concerns but once again we will see

DangerousSolution78 2025-11-28 23:11

I hope so! I haven’t been pushed 4.2.1 yet, but I know 14.2.0 has been a nightmare

ZeroWashu 2025-11-29 00:02

My problem is FSD not knowing the speed limit of the road it just turned onto. A twenty year old Garmin like device knows more about the road speed limits than my Tesla. And its odd too, leaving my subdivision it knows what the new road's speed is but turning onto that road from another and suddenly it doesn't - just keeps the speed of the previous road.

Fixtor 2025-11-29 00:40

Tesla promised it will come out "by the end of the year" and that the price will increase significantly. I also fell for this. It sucks, but at the time I didn't think I was paying for something that "doesn't exist", I believed I was making an investment. After 4 years, still no FSD here in Europe and still no hope my Intel HW3 car will ever get it here. I was one of the early Tesla and people like me did the free advertising that made Tesla a huge company, and I feel betrayed.

Fixtor 2025-11-29 00:45

Yes

jetlag_gq 2025-11-29 01:33

All they need to do is give a greater discount for fsd. I have enhanced auto pilot it’s 2k for the upgrade to fsd. Have other priorities and not pressed to do the upgrade. If it was 1k , I’d jump in it.

ElveeApp 2025-11-29 01:46

Wow !

flyeaglesfly_4133 2025-11-29 02:59

I got it through Jan 7

systemBuilder22 2025-11-29 03:03

The next time I buy from TESLA IS NEVER.

Tr0nzzz 2025-11-29 03:12

What happens if you already have free FSD from a recent purchase?

Pipelayer222 2025-11-29 04:55

If I am subscribed do I need to cancel to get 1 month free?

Truth_Artillery 2025-11-29 05:00

14.1.7 tries to park in my nextdoor neighbors drive way

jeffwb7 2025-11-29 08:14

All we get is Ashok saying we're not forgotten and that he drives a HW 3 Model 3. LOL.

jeffwb7 2025-11-29 08:15

Don't forget, we got Ashok saying we're not forgotten and that he drives a HW 3 Model 3 too. I guess that's all we get. LOL.

jeffwb7 2025-11-29 08:18

It's the same logic that priced the new "Standard" Model 3 & Y. LOL.

jeffwb7 2025-11-29 08:21

Did the same with my free trial of v12.6.4 on a used '22 Tesla Model 3 that I bought. Love the vehicle, could not stand FSD on HW 3. I would consider paying around $10 a month for v12.6.4. LOL.

jeffwb7 2025-11-29 08:24

Like, dude... it's pretty damn obvious that out of loyalty they should have offered free FSD to ALL owners for a month. All we get is Ashok saying we're not forgotten and that he drives a HW 3 Model 3. LOL. So, to the contrary Mr. Gary, bat shit crazy move IMHO.

tdacosta520 2025-11-29 12:11

Right it should just come with the car. Free for veterans

wintermuttt 2025-11-29 13:44

I gave my cousins all a ride in my 2026 Y over Thanksgiving. They were awestruck by FSD and Grok unhinged.

Simpsonslover1988 2025-11-29 16:26

Get a new car.

cadium 2025-11-29 19:40

Some of us would if we still had the EV tax credit and the offered to transfer FSD + Free Supercharging. But alas...

cadium 2025-11-29 19:42

It sounds like they had used sensor fusion as an excuse to get rid of it to save costs. USS and Radar were removed around covid supply issues. Waymo is doing sensor fusion just fine, they cut costs to boost profit...

Famous_Cockroach6798 2025-11-29 22:33

Why would you be surprised it's all about money

Famous_Cockroach6798 2025-11-29 22:35

It's the Tesla Way. Over promise and under deliver..

Famous_Cockroach6798 2025-11-29 22:37

Unfortunately you're going to be waiting a very long time before you get that phone call

MuskIsKing 2025-11-30 02:33

It's super buggy

pjax_ 2025-11-30 03:52

FSD on HW3 is going to COST Tesla a lot of money because of the promise to upgrade them. It is a liability for Tesla.

NoHonorHokaido 2025-11-30 09:49

So the HW3 vehicle I was sold is in fact not FSD capable and I was misled by Tesla? When is the class action starting?

No-Recognition-2996 2025-11-30 11:42

If I have a 3 month trial that ends 12/20 will it add 30 days or should I wait till my current trial ends?

whodatsaywhodat0375 2025-11-30 13:34

I have full self driving on my Model Y and I love it because it's me!! 100% reliable and costs nothing. I'm just saying.

phantom-virus-lives 2025-11-30 17:37

Still untrustworthy. Always has been.

Reddit_R_Pg13 2025-11-30 21:15

yes

bareyb 2025-11-30 23:33

I’ve done all the free trials (3 of them) and tbh it just makes me too nervous. It feels a lot like when I was teaching my daughter to drive. I’m on edge the whole time and if it hits something the repairs are on my time and on my dime. Maybe when I’m a lot older, but for now I’d rather just drive myself.

DougWantsALeaf 2025-12-01 04:38

Has anyome decided to pull the cell card in the card in the car, and stop giving Tesla the driving data from the car? Can you disable sharing from a menu in the car.

Common-Violinist-305 2025-12-01 16:29

and on the road 😂

aptwo 2025-12-01 22:09

Once again Tesla screwing over early and mid adopters. I think we're ok so far due to the stock price going up.

DistributionUsual857 2025-12-03 02:36

Not if you’re paying for the monthly subscription apparently (source: me). Sucks because I’ve had identical free trials like these before in my ~year of ownership despite still having the monthly subscription.

[deleted] 2025-12-03 15:46

Personally I think this is bullshit! My $42,000 2023 hardware 3 Tesla is ONLY 2 years old and I can’t get a free trial! It’s almost like Tesla is telling people that bought a car only two years ago that it’s already outdated!

[deleted] 2025-12-03 15:49

It actually works now! My partner has a 2026 model Y and has FSD and it’s amazing! It even drives out of our garage, backs out of the driveway! Now tell me that’s not impressive! I wish I could show you how our driveway is! I honestly don’t know how it does it.

jtmonkey 2025-12-03 16:24

I understand it works on hw4. But Tesla optimizes and releases for the current hardware first and then optimizes for older hardware as it can. So we may never see the version your wife has.

Fluid-Feeling-8590 2025-12-04 00:16

Still don’t have this update despite driving a car only 1 week old as of today 🥲

Lokon19 2025-12-04 07:48

The FAQ makes it sound like you won't even get the trial if you are an active subscriber.

JaniceRossi_in_2R 2025-12-04 18:03

😭😭😭

Classic_Nerve_2979 2025-12-06 18:41

I just bought a 2026 Tesla with Fsd. But it has v13, not 14.2 😞. Why are they not preinstalling latest in new vehicles? Are there lots of people in the same boat? Wondering how long before i get the update?

mumbojumpo 2025-12-07 12:59

Just curious - why care so much about HW4 if you drive yourself?

Silent_Milk_8878 2025-12-13 18:06

I have a 2023 model 3 and I didn’t get that. I always get it when it’s free. Weird.

jorgetasse 2025-12-23 22:56

I'm not alone
