Lease price increases
And price drop in last quarter .
I thought they usually drop prices to sellout supply before the next years car comes out
Before the tax credit expired, the sales rep was saying xyz the lease prices for the CT will go up, they went up for a few days, and then magically were back to 699/month with 5000 down - exactly the same pricing as before the tax credit expired
FSD prices are being left alone, right? I’m planning on buying it ~November 10th (about a week before my 3 month trial expires, right after a new month starts on my CC so it’s interest free until early January.) If prices are going up on FSD then it’s probably better to just buy now even though it’ll start accruing interest a month earlier. (Either way my plan is to pay it off before the interest strikes - just gives me an extra month to pay it off.)
Anyone buying model 3/Y in late 2025 is a moron
No they aren’t. They are fantastic cars.
Why?
What do you suggest buying instead?
Wait for Chinese cars to make their way over. The time to buy a Tesla was 2019- September 2025
Yes a hike Nov 4, and then probably a cut by Black Friday 😂 assuming Tesla wants to sell vehicles in Q4
They’re gonna get tariffed at insane rates so they’ll never be competitive here.
Lease* price increase. They’re currently running a lease incentive that ends on 11/3.
How high are you right now ?
> Chinese cars will ever be competitive against teslas in the US in our lifetimes The absolute delusion…
Tbf the showroom guy probably had zero clue the prices would do that
There’s no telling if FSD price will change, historically everyone who just bought gets mad because the price change was sudden and without warning lol
That’s only lease price
Yep. If only people could read.
There are no "next years" with Tesla. They do rolling changes without traditonal years. Yes, they have a year for insurance purposes, but we just got the "new" Model 3 (the Highland) and the new Model Y (the Juniper). The Model Y Performance was another refinement (better batteries, screen, seat, etc). They've traditionally used drops for pulling demand levers at the end of quarter more than flushing inventory before a refresh. Often, new hardware has appeared without being announced.
They raise prices to get people to buy now before the price increase, then they lower the price shortly after anyways.
Since they brought up penetration rate, I’d assume cost will come down. They’ll want more than 12% for more people to adopt cybercab.
Demand lever
The company that literally builds 1 car and 1 joke
He did read. He said there are price increases. If only people can read.
Youll be waiting forever lol
Lease price will go up because the $7500 tax credit was automatically taken off your lease and they can't do that anymore. It might have been different if you purchased because I don't know if they also automatically gave the discount on purchases. It didn't seem like it when I got mine.
You will need hw5 anyway for the latest. So save your money
Raising the price of the CT 😂
And then HW6, and then HW7 and then HW8… why not just never buy a new car?
Yes but it's just lease prices going up. If only people may read.
Inb4 price cut December 20
Take that $8k and put it into the stock market with an index fund. Buy the $100/mo subscription instead. You’ll end up way ahead AND not be fucked like every person who’s ever bought FSD
Tesla has made it, like alot of other companies, that you should never consider buying their product until the last 2 weeks of any given quarter.
The price always changes on something right after I buy it 😢
I assume the showroom people know even less because they're fed misinformation to push sales. My neighbor bought two cars before the EV credit disappeared because they showroom person said they their >150k doesn't matter.
Lease prices are going up no matter who reads what
They're just making up artificial deadlines to boost q4 sales, the competition is too intense for any meaningful price hike
CT needs a price decrease not an increase.
That’s the name of the game. Best way to do it is don’t wait if the product is exactly how you want it in its current state, and don’t be upset if the price drops because it just means more people can enjoy the same lovely car as you :)
That sounds more like they didn’t know how the tax credit worked and were ignorant, I wouldn’t blame management or the company for that, that’s entirely on the employee for not double checking Edit: your neighbor didn’t check the total to make sure the credit was added at point of sale?
My neighbor is an idiot who got tax advice from a showroom sales person.
No they already increased prices after that. And then they dropped it to what it is now. Then they’ll increase again and probably drop end of quarter.
Yea it appears that way😂 obviously the guy on commission is gonna say yes
CT price increase is an embarrassment vs what was announced. CT delivered essentially zero of its goals.
These cars never change? they look the same since launch
Yeah this is really going to help cybertruck sales. But to be fair this isn’t the only thing Tesla is raising. Tesla is raising their denials for warranty claims as well.
I feel like less people will start to buy EVs because the tax credit expired. The people buying Teslas will be ones who have owned an EV before or had experience with one and just enjoy the way an EV differs from a fuel vehicle. I don't know how this will impact tesla sales but they will be less profitable moving forward and they might start to either make vehicles cheaper to build by offering less features and cheaper materials, increasing the price, or doing both.
Gotta be able to afford his trillion dollar salary package 💀
it was a lie to push people to lease, I lost $250 by falling for it
They still sell cybertrucks?!
Instead we got lease price drops
