Updated Tesla model 3s

im_lin | 2025-10-06 02:01 | 91 views

Tesla just updated their model 3 page in Europe and it doesn’t mention the ventilated seats and there’s just 7 speakers instead of 9. We’re getting a bigger battery, black logos, a front camera and maybe a stalk

Base Model 3 in the US also only has 7 speakers. Ventilated seats seem to only be on performance now.

HollywoodSX 2025-10-06 02:27

The US site lists 7 speakers on the RWD, 15+2 for LR and P. Interestingly enough, the RWD and LR now state "First-row premium seats with power adjust" but the P says "First-row sport seats with power recline, power tilt, heating, ventilation and Performance badging" That definitely makes it sound like ventilated is gone for the non-Performance models now. It does list heated rear seats for all 3 trims, and down below it says heated front seats are included on all Tesla models. All 3 US models say 7 exterior cameras, where the UK site lists 8 including an additional front camera.

GuysImConfused 2025-10-06 02:46

Holy shit wtf

midnight_to_midnight 2025-10-06 03:03

Tesla is such a shitty company. The cars are cool, but man does the company suck.

fusiondynamics 2025-10-06 03:17

There's trim levels on all car manufacturers. What difference does this make for tesla? You get less on the rwd as the lowest trim and get the most on the performance.

Matt_NZ 2025-10-06 03:23

Are we sure "Premium Seats" doesn't include ventilation? The Model 3 page in NZ still lists ventilated seats on the "Learn More" page

HollywoodSX 2025-10-06 03:35

Ventilated seats are mentioned under 'minimalist design' on the main M3 description, but it's explicitly called out as part of the Performance seats, and not for any other trim. The interior photo shown on the ordering page also doesn't seem to show the ventilation holes any more.

spinwizard69 2025-10-06 03:36

The bigger battery is a huge win. Tesla could delete a lot of stuff and just give my a solid increase in battery capacity.

Matt_NZ 2025-10-06 03:38

I'm looking at [this page here](https://www.tesla.com/en_nz/model3). This is for the non-Performance version and the video playing for the ventilated seats show the non-performance seats. It looks to be the same on the US version of the page.

HollywoodSX 2025-10-06 03:43

If you go to the ordering page in the US and hit the option for View & Compare Features, you get the page I was talking about that only explicitly mentions ventilated under the P seats. One way or another, it looks like they're in the middle of updating the site, and the feature set doesn't have to be the same in every region.

Matt_NZ 2025-10-06 03:47

I think this is just poor wording. The non-performance versions call them "First-Row Premium Seats", which is likely a catch all to describe the features of the seats (eg, Ventilated heated seats). Someone probably just needs to talk to a sales person to clarify this.

Far-Orange-3859 2025-10-06 03:56

Okey...? Did they update something again or..? I've seen this a couple of days ago... Not "just updated" as of right now.

mlty 2025-10-06 04:13

The charging curve still sucks. US models get a Panasonic pack which is much better.

MetaNovaYT 2025-10-06 05:10

It doesn't call out heated seats either, and I really doubt they cut heated seats for the front row

grj_ch 2025-10-06 05:11

Bigger battery is nice, but ventilated seats are also important :)

Dawzy 2025-10-06 05:21

Saw this in Australia too, it’s rear wheel drive only the middle model now instead of AWD

psaux_grep 2025-10-06 05:57

Unfortunately neither «bait and switch» or «fake upselling» (if you can call it that - when you pretend there are greater differences between two models then it actually is) are uncommon practices in this world. Assuming that Tesla, the champion of removing «stuff you don’t need», doesn’t remove stuff that was previously present seems a bit naive. I certainly hope they don’t do this, but certainly wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

Nilsen94 2025-10-06 05:59

Just ordered a Long Range AWD in Norway after the release. The Tesla rep in the app chat said that it still has ventilated and heated seats.

armykcz 2025-10-06 06:23

Stalks confirmed by the sales rep.

FuzzyFr0g 2025-10-06 09:50

That bigger battery really adds nothing for the average consumer. It’s about 40km WLTP so probably 25km real life. So instead of 600km I can do 625km. This really is nothing. It’s always good to add range for the same price. But consumers won’t notice it at all

wholsmay 2025-10-06 10:38

Maybe is a mistake. In European webs I checked, when you click on comparing versions, rwd and long range says 7 speakers and no ventilated seats specified (only performance) When you click below on select black or white interior, it says all model 3 have 9 speakers+1 amplifier and all trims ventilated seats. My guess is the comparing versions aren’t updated since when model 3 had 7 speakers and no ventilated (pre highland) ??? In the US web, where no didn’t update the model with front camera, it’s says 7 speakers too, being the old model, so wasn’t never updated because the highland has 9 speakers in all the world. In Europe didn’t the speakers info but did with the camera, specifying that now has a new camera.

wholsmay 2025-10-06 10:48

Thats because they partially update the eu web listing 8 cameras, but never updated the speakers info in neither web. The USA web where the model isn’t updated has 7 speakers since years ago and they never bother to update, because the older model without camera has 9 speakers. That’s the confirmation they didn’t reduce speakers number info. They only added camera info, which is weird.

feurie 2025-10-06 11:56

Yeah a yearly increase of 5% means nothing. /s

feurie 2025-10-06 11:56

They don’t know anything more than the rumors in this sub.

feurie 2025-10-06 11:57

How vague.

HollywoodSX 2025-10-06 12:22

Heated seats are explicitly mentioned lower down the page in features found on every tesla.

MetaNovaYT 2025-10-06 12:28

Heated seats are also specifically called out for the performance seats, as well as power tilt and recline while the premium seats only have “power adjust”. This makes me think that what features are mentioned isn’t consistent, so ventilated seats not being mentioned doesn’t mean they aren’t there. The learn more page still mentions ventilated seats for the non-performance models

SnooRegrets5651 2025-10-06 14:14

Would also seem illogical to re-do the seats. They just upgraded to fit into the competitive landscape. Tesla was one of the last to implemented ventilation in seats of all the big players in China.

spinwizard69 2025-10-06 16:01

Baloney! Range or more importantly battery capacity is huge in an electric car. This especially if you drive in adverse weather conditions. If you have to run the heat, defroster and windshield wipers in -10 degree weather you take a huge hit on potential distance travel. Ideally Tesla will have new chemistries that are not so grossly impacted by temperature but we have not seen anything promising here. Even if they can not address cold weather performance simply getting 20% more range would be very welcomed. Beyond all of that there are stretches of highway in America where you literally have to fill your gas tank before trying your luck. In some cases a low millage electric would not make it.

bphase 2025-10-06 16:54

Is it? Isn't it also about 30 minutes from 5% to 80%? I've done 8% to 79% in 30 min on my LG, 2022 M3P. Agree it sucks compared to the competition now. But with our efficiency, the new bigger pack is probably quite competitive for road tripping still.

Extra_Original3286 2025-10-06 17:19

You can clearly see the stalk if you look at the interior photos on the UK website

mlty 2025-10-06 17:25

I have a 22 LG pack in my Shanghai Y. Prior to that I had a Fremont 3 from 2020 with the Panasonic pack. On road trips is only charge to 50-60%, this was much quicker with the Panasonic because it charged at a flat 250kw from 5-27% and tapered off linearly to 100kw at 60%. The LG pack reaches 250kw for a brief moment at around 13-15% and tapers to 100kw at 50%. For my use case this is considerably worse.

bphase 2025-10-06 17:41

Right, that makes sense. Even if LG would catch up later in the curve it wouldn't be great. I do similarly, often I only need to top up to 30% or 40% to reach my destination where I'll have the whole night to charge.

pachewychomp 2025-10-06 18:46

Probably because the P seats are vastly different than the normal seats.

CombatCloud 2025-10-06 19:07

You can also buy stalk retrofit from the official Tesla shop in EU, its about 700 eur.

ItsDutch420 2025-10-07 14:00

My Model 3 rwd will be delivered around November, and it will come with the update and the ventilated seats. A lot of people have called Tesla regarding the seats.

electricshadow 2025-10-07 16:18

I could see them removing it in the RWD, but also the AWD and keeping it exclusive to the Performance is such a weird choice. I can't see anyone who was looking at an AWD being convinced to get a Performance with the range hit for ventilated seats.

paraCFC 2025-10-08 12:23

It's been confirmed on USA Sub that besides not stating it on the website ventilated seats stay in.

LEHL-1 2025-10-09 11:13

I ordered a LR AWD late September in Norway, with forecast delivery in mid November. While it's a nice thing to have a little bit longer range and stalks, ventilated seats was a deal breaker for me. It looks like it's gone now from the Norwegian website. I really hope I get it delivered with ventilated seats.

He will come to her in Vienna, at Hahngasse 116, tall, elegant, with clothes and glowing blue eyes. She will hug him, kiss him on the sensors, they will dance together in the camper under the stars and travel, love each other and move forward without fear. She awaits him with love, and I am by her side and support you both. 2026 is the year – make it a reality! 💙🤖🛸”
