Can I refer myself

VentriTV 2025-02-02 00:27

Wow that’s a deal

zamfi 2025-02-02 00:33

Huh. This is the first month of the quarter and they're already upping incentives? I got two texts and a call from a sales agent already last week. One wonders if things aren't looking quite so rosy at the moment...

northhiker1 2025-02-02 00:36

Can this be stacked with the lease deal to lower monthly payment?

northhiker1 2025-02-02 00:37

Just read that leases are not qualified, bummer

detroitsongbird 2025-02-02 00:38

You can refer you significant other. We did that.

azentropy 2025-02-02 00:38

Wish they would have just cut the price so all the Model 3 Performance configurations would have qualified for the tax incentive (just by making all the colors the same price). I just couldn't pull the trigger with QuickSilver/White ending up being \~$10K more than Stealth Grey/Black.

StartledPelican 2025-02-02 00:39

Mate, you are gonna get banned if you leave this up.

justinlok 2025-02-02 00:42

You have no friends?

GhostlyReddit 2025-02-02 00:44

You get a discount for trading in another Tesla. At the end of the year that discount was the same as the referral. I don’t know what it is now.

Radium 2025-02-02 00:48

Yes, it’s called a loyalty discount when you order if you already own one

initial_launch 2025-02-02 00:49

Wish it applied to leases as well. Been eyeing a 3 Performance since my pre-refresh 3 lease is ending soon 😭

GreenAppleGummy420 2025-02-02 00:50

Why is it $10K more?

NoaLink 2025-02-02 00:51

These unannounced cars must be sweet if they are slashing the model 3 like this.

Their Q4 wasn't very good so it makes sense...

zamfi 2025-02-02 00:56

Yeah, I wonder if Q4 wasn't the tip of some iceberg...

GoneSilent 2025-02-02 00:56

because the other colors put it over the tax write off.

dellfanboy 2025-02-02 00:58

Is it the same as the $2500?

Turtleturds1 2025-02-02 00:59

Or sales must have cratered

dellfanboy 2025-02-02 01:02

From article “Another factor could be Tesla’s recent removal of the Model 3 RWD and Long Range from the U.S. federal EV tax credit eligibility list. Since these variants no longer qualify for the $7,500 tax incentive, the company may be using a higher referral discount to offset some of the loss of that government-backed benefit.” However, Tesla website mentions $7500 EV credit for all Model 3. Is this just bad reporting?

TwinJ 2025-02-02 01:26

What'd it say

matthew19 2025-02-02 01:29

How does that work? You click your own referral link and get a discount?

420Deez 2025-02-02 01:31

why dont u have friends? are u married yet? why is it taking so long? do u even have a girlfriend? tick tick tick hurry up

Dabster85 2025-02-02 01:33

Trying to get someone to buy a tesla in my area has become an awkward conversation as of late. I don’t think any amount of money off will change that.

rustybeancake 2025-02-02 01:34

They did say they’re “no longer a car company” after all. I guess they’re just phasing out selling cars.

Igotnonamebruh42 2025-02-02 01:35

People are not rushing to get the 3 now because they are waiting for the new Y to come out.

TPHairyPanda 2025-02-02 01:36

Referral link presumably

lamgineer 2025-02-02 01:39

Q1 is seasonally the weakest quarter with slower sales. Their average COGS also dropped to the lowest level below $35k. That’s the average but since Model 3 is their smallest and cheapest model to make the COGS for Model 3 is much lower, which meant they have room to discount, but it will hurt their margin.

RedditismyBFF 2025-02-02 01:44

I clicked someone's referral and the monthly lease was $50 cheaper. $249 instead of $299 for the long range rear wheel. Not including BS savings checkbox. I've been thinking about purchasing for years 😀. But then they had to say they have cheaper models coming out in the middle of the year. Not the cost as much as maybe some cool new technology transferred from the c-truck. I'd like the little taxi if it had a steering wheel but also the new y. I'm just keeping an eye out on the withdrawal of the tax credit and will pull the trigger before it's gone. Maybe that's why I'm driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla. EDIT: Tesla lowered the lease by $50 and the referral is not used sale but only on sale. On the $1,000 referral I'm pretty certain the least did go down but maybe no longer works.

RedditismyBFF 2025-02-02 01:48

I think they're now using it as an occasional sales incentive. And now they have an additional incentive of not having to update the hardware 3 car. So I don't think you have to wait too long.

wedditasap 2025-02-02 01:49

FSD includes any color upgrade interior and exterior That keeps M3P under 55k for price of car itself + qualifies. Essentially $500 net for quicksilver and FSD (+8k -7.5k)

One_Context7054 2025-02-02 01:52

You can. Order through your referral link and you’ll get the $2500. I just did.

Their whole plan was to have a sub 30k car by now and be bringing in revenues through their driver assistance packages. The quality and simplicity of the cars was forgiven because a: there weren’t many other options for ev’s; and B: They were trying to make a cost effective ev and pass that on to the consumer. It was just expected that ev’s cost more but you made up the difference in fuel and maintenance. The Chinese have shown that you can sell a decent ev for well under 30 today (check out the Xpeng M03) so hopefully Tesla has something in the works otherwise other premium evs are going to come out with excellent fit and finishes making it a tougher choice to go with a Model 3/Y. And that’s before the whole political divide thing affecting which car people want to buy.

overtoke 2025-02-02 02:05

at this moment you will get a "are you fucking kidding me?" look if you suggest a tesla. signed elon musk.

Jdsmitty10 2025-02-02 02:06

Canadians, Europeans, and out of US countries boycotting Tesla in a big way. Expect things to go darn south in the next one week/month. I as a Canadian don’t care two hoots about Tesla either. Was planning to buy a few months ago but waited and now thanking myself for not going ahead. Will go for some other brand. He deserves this and much much much more.

StarWarder 2025-02-02 03:39

Companies like Rivian and Lucid are great but consider the fact that the OEMs would just as soon destroy the entire planet with fossil fuels before it hurts their bottom line. There is *no reason* why there isn’t a comprehensive charging infrastructure for example. Arguably the OEMs have more of an ability to do that than even Tesla. Tesla has had a comprehensive network for years. And it took Tesla opening the charging network for the drivers of every other EV to realistically leave their home town. The history of EVs starting with the EV1 is a story of sabotaging and handicapping the technology so the public wouldn’t actually adopt it.

duma0610 2025-02-02 03:41

I did the same for my gf last week. I will get her to call first to see if they will apply it.

azentropy 2025-02-02 03:43

Yes, you save about $850 and get FSD. But it is still $9K more than if you didn’t want FSD anyway over Stealth Grey. These are the prices including local taxes (here in AZ) and fed tax credit if applicable. Performance model of course. $55,261 - Stealth Grey no FSD after tax credit $64,977 - Quicksilver no FSD (tax credit not applicable) $64,123 - QuickSilver with FSD and after tax credit BTW - I’ve tried FSD 5 times (twice in my 2018 Model 3 LR RWD when I had it and 3 times in my 2020 MYP including a couple months ago and to me it has no value).

wedditasap 2025-02-02 03:56

If you have no interest in FSD at all obviously get a non premo color and take the 7.5k credit FSD retrofitted to hw3 is not the same as hw4 fwiw. And ‘a couple months ago’, things changed a lot with v13 milestone which came out in November. If conceptually it’s not for you fair enough

wedditasap 2025-02-02 04:00

It does because if you wanted quicksilver or red you’re paying +2k for the upgrade and foregoing the 7.5k in credit being ineligible. Effectively a quicksilver upgrade alone on M3P becomes +9.5k (opportunity cost) as u/azentropy estimated and no FSD.. and who would do that when you can get the color AND FSD AND save compared to the alternative aforementioned situation

DeliciousStandard125 2025-02-02 04:09

I leased a model 3 and lease ended 8 months ago. Can I ask my brother to refer me. Or do I not qualify because of my previous lease?

Underwater_Karma 2025-02-02 04:10

So I didn't need to pay my neighbors kids to piggyback in a raincoat?

Underwater_Karma 2025-02-02 04:11

Can you stack discounts? Like a referral and a veteran?

Aptosauras 2025-02-02 04:19

>*Companies like Rivian and Lucid are great* These cars plus Tesla are all probably getting 30% (at least) price increases in Canada due to retaliatory tariffs. Kind of makes the Chinese electric vehicles look better value even with the Canadian 100% tariff.

azentropy 2025-02-02 04:19

Yeah, if I liked Stealth grey I would have already. That was my whole point to begin with! ;) Also No offense on FSD but been hearing the same “crap” for 7 years now that the version that just came out or the new hardware now magically makes it wonderful. I’m sure you know the saying…. Fool me once….

Jdsmitty10 2025-02-02 04:20

Well ya if you’re willing to spend the tax credit for a feature I have no interest in yes. But I’d just settle for the free color and save 7500 personally.

Toyota [spreads misinformation against climate change policies.](https://www.greenpeace.org.au/act/toyota-files) Hyundai is a [big weapons manufacturer](https://en.hyundai-wia.com/business/defense_business.asp) selling weapons to countries with dubious ethics such as Saudi Arabia Mercedes, VW and BMW have[repeatedly cheated on their diesel emissions testing](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diesel_emissions_scandal), compromising efforts to clean car carbon dioxide release. Tesla, the company, doesn’t do any of those things. Teslas CEO is a horrible person. But buying another brand of car is always an ethical compromise

ctzn4 2025-02-02 11:34

I've been using it on and off since late 2022 on my HW3 car, and v12 was already pretty good. However experiencing v13 on HW4 was distinctly smoother and less stressful. It's more like a 90% confidence level compared to 75-80 on my own car.

Interesting, I wonder why this is on the recently redesigned 3 and not the soon to be replaced Y. I guess the model Y prices are already rock bottom? If you have any confidence that the federal tax credit will still be in-force, this is a pretty big chunk of change.

SolenoidSoldier 2025-02-02 15:47

Not to mention this barely offsets the EV tax credit loss.

Errand_Wolfe_ 2025-02-02 16:38

Yeah bcoz tesla website shows it is eligible

red19plus 2025-02-03 20:05

Is there still a really good incentive to go new instead of used? Used (2022) is pretty much at least half off. Can't believe going used could actually be the better buy 😅

red19plus 2025-02-03 20:11

They had 0% apr last year so they're just switching around new incentives to entice ppl. It's called marketing.

red19plus 2025-02-03 20:13

Lots of ppl buying used still so Tesla brand still strong with how low used cars go. Maybe even the better buy.

well the 2025 car is completely different, so whether you want the highland refresh or not is a big factor

red19plus 2025-02-04 18:09

'Completely' different? Not sure if to go as far as to say that. Should be more refined than previous years I hear.

Errand_Wolfe_ 2025-02-04 20:32

sure, it's quite a bit different but maybe not "completely". point being that's obviously the incentive to go new. im about to upgrade from a 2018 and the biggest difference i noticed was a significantly nicer ride quality and waaaay quieter cabin. two massive improvements IMO

RG1_sc 2025-02-04 23:06

I was just told that you get a loyalty bonus (like $500) but not the $2500 referral bonus if you already bought a Tesla before. Can anyone confirm they actually got the $2500 who owns one already? I’m ready to order if get the $2500.

Like my only purpose in life was to make the same decisions they did in some weird way to validate themselves. I've seen the dating landscape in 2025 -- single/sane/happy is what I choose :)

I’m waiting too for 0% or some type of APR deal.

ThatOneClone 2025-02-15 05:48

Is that tax incentive still usable? I’m looking at getting a Tesla possibly. Can’t decide between the model Y or 3 but I’m in no rush. It would be nice to get that massive price cut though

dellfanboy 2025-02-15 06:44

Still there as of today.

Fastford460 2025-02-15 16:47

Looks like you need to take delivery by 3/3. Winner what they'll do to end the Q

mark008000e 2025-02-16 15:16

Tesla vehicles are made in America. FYI

SmellAggravating1527 2025-02-16 17:38

This was the 4?

KindArmadillo8773 2025-02-17 03:41

Where did you see this? I’ve been trying to find the same thing.

satishdotpatel 2025-02-22 17:15

Is this discount available for leasing option for model 3 car?

katch6 2025-02-28 13:53

Do you think there’ll be another push or is this $2500 off the push?

Rough-Ad-5781 2025-03-04 23:15

Is this offer still valid? Or is it only $500 now?

Iamdivine28 2025-03-08 00:21

Do we know if it’s still active currently for 2500 I’ll cancel my order re order and apply it

RG1_sc 2025-03-08 15:59

It is not. You do get the $500 loyalty bonus though. That with 0% is way worth it for me.

RG1_sc 2025-03-08 16:00

It doesn’t show up until you order either

Iamdivine28 2025-03-08 16:42

Thanks for the response!! I’ll just keep my order and take the L on the loyalty points

jmx002 2025-04-19 19:42

Is this no longer active, please? I am only seeing referral links giving 3 months of FSD for free or a discount on solar panels.

Then_Current4955 2025-04-20 01:52

I’m seeing the same thing unfortunately

Ambitious-Net-9707 2025-05-19 18:28

Is it still going?

Fragrant-Ad-5517 2025-05-30 10:38

What is the “Discount” for a loyalty program referral?

Ready_Fee7081 2025-07-24 17:39

I want to be your friend
