Finally caved and got my first Tesla

Baby steps and starting with the model 3 standard in diamond black. I’ve told myself that if I adapt well to my EV, ill dive in deeper and upgrade to the ‘S’ or even the new YL (if it’s available by then in EU) in 2028. Two years I’ve given myself.

Congrats! Keep in mind the S has been discontinued but it would still be a great upgrade in the future.

Good choice! I have a M3 Rwd Premium, seeing the Standard version come out, there really isn't many things that make sense for me to be paying for. Id much rather saving $60 a month (on buying a standard) ~ for no vent seats, No seat buttons (rarely use em anyway), No rear touch screen (I rarely have passengers). And The RGB light strip can be installed myself, a premium gimmick. All I really want is FSD to be approved in EU 😞

Talking the the sales advisor last week, he never mentioned that. Could it be that the S is discontinued only in certain countries? I’m in Spain and the S seems to be a seller. Like the YL is currently only been released in Australia and New Zealand, and why I said if it comes to Europe I’d make it an option to upgrade to, I saw some videos uploaded and a couple reviews and the car is freaking amazing.

I agree with you but as it’s my first EV and Tesla I wanted to try for a couple years and then upgrade if I like it. It’s one thing to go crazy on something new and then find it’s not for you and have spent a crazy amount of money. I got a fabulous deal at Tesla and the car cost me 32K euros and thats pretty reasonable in two years when I upgrade, I’ll spend a lot more on the one that calls out to me. Because I’ve seen and heard a a lot of pros and cons and a lot of weird things, I wanted to experience for myself and be me to decide, so why I’m staking baby steps for now. One thing is that I was really impressed with the car when I took it for a test drive - I never had the same reaction with any of my previous petrol / diesel cars along the years. The test drive left me gob smacked and my daughter that was in the car with me kept saying during that hour of driving - Daddy, we need to get this, please say we’re getting it 🫣. She didn’t need to say anything because in my mind after just 20 ‘minutes, my mind was already made up that I was going to buy it. When we got back to the show room, I said ro the adviser - I’ll make this easy on you, just tell me how much and where do I sign. No need for a sales pitch. He was speechless (literally). We’d walked into the show room just for a test drive a week ago, I had no intention to buy a car on that day, but changed when it came to driving the car. Everything about is ticks all the boxes for me.

you can no longer order it anymore, only existing stock. there will of course be S and X but only existing fleet and not new cars. You can always check on the tesla website, the Spanish site also only says “explore inventory” https://www.tesla.com/es_es/models
