Had to cancel the new Model 3

My sister ordered a brand new Model 3 two weeks ago and the dealer said it would be ready to collect in 2 weeks, she tried to sort out the Tesla finance on the app as instructed by the dealer, but they never got back to her, she chased and chased, she spoke to the dealer who said "the finance was always like that". In the end she had to cancel her order and went and brought a BMW instead, as her old car had to go back. She is deeply disappointed. Why when sales are down would Elon allow this part of his sales pipeline to fail so badly? What a shame, she was so looking forward to owning a Tesla, and I was looking forward to seeing it as I have liked them for so long, and considered one myself.

Tesla also leaves payments and owner changes hanging when you are selling your old tesla to them and buying a new one. They will leave you hanging with two cars in your name with all the insurance cost etc rolling for you to pay.

Speaking from the us, telsa has the best car buying experience of any dealer, if you buy directly from them. They tell you ahead of time when you can expect to pick the car up and you can reschedule to pick it up from the app no calls/in person meetings needed

Mine was super smooth, I went through a lease and everything went like clockwork, no issues, the app guided me through everything at each point in the process.

user error on her part. the finance portion is sorted through the buyer in the app. understandable why she had to cancel bc she NEEDED a car, but had the situation maybe been explained to Tesla service better, they probably would have given you a loaner for the time being.

My BMW order took over 3 months lol. And I didn't blame the CEO when that happened, because it has nothing to do with him...
