Considering a used Tesla Model 3 from Tesla — is $22k for 47k miles a good deal

1activeEv | 2026-03-12 18:49 | 38 views

Trying to decide between a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y — advice? This model 3 has the extra add Ons. I’m considering buying a used Tesla Model 3 directly from Tesla and wanted some opinions from people who own one. Would it be smarter to spend a bit more and get a Model Y instead?

Hey, off topic, how do you gain the ability to post? Because every time I try, it posts, but the post never shows up in the sub, and everything is locked on my profile.

OK deal, not great. I’ve seen LR in that price range.

patrolmanEmbiid 2026-03-12 18:54

bought this exact car, similar mileage for my wife in Dec. Ended up paying a tad over 23k out the door. Came with autopilot, 3 months of FSD/Free Supercharging. She came from a honda crv, and absolutely loves her Model 3. We did look at Model Y's, and will more than likely have one within the next 5 or so years, but i personally feel very satisfied with the purchase, and don't regret anything. It has been an amazing daily driver for her and a fun weekend car for myself (F150 during the week). https://preview.redd.it/4k9gzta6vnog1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8fe6ec98f3c1ab689231c7809f0e2d3e74226719

If it’s removed by automod, it should’ve commented or DMd you why it was removed.

EmbarrassedSkill3334 2026-03-12 19:10

Seems fair, I paid that much for a 2023 with 36k miles but no free supercharging.

VapAndro 2026-03-12 19:10

I find that's a very good price as I paid mine here in France 24k€ with 70k kms (TM3 2021)! We're getting fooled here 😂

Comfortable_Ad_7635 2026-03-12 19:18

A month ago I bought my 2022 Tesla model three long range with 45,000 miles for 22,000

Any_Mulberry_2435 2026-03-12 19:22

I just got a $24k 2023 model 3 with premium interior and 20k miles and it seems competitive with what was elsewhere. Id say $2k less for 20k more miles makes sense

irie56 2026-03-12 19:30

You can do better. I have the same car and trade in is prob around 17k and I have 37k miles.

No_Raise_4181 2026-03-12 19:33

I wouldnt

Gloomy-Morning-4696 2026-03-12 19:36

I’ll sell you my 2024 with less than 50k miles on the ODO clean title paid off instead of you buying a less upgraded one

Gloomy-Morning-4696 2026-03-12 19:36

Pm me I’m selling my 2024 awd long range

Acceptable_Main_5911 2026-03-12 19:40

Was looking to sell my 22LR with 65k and AB for 21k but ended up letting daughter take it over instead so I’d say there might be better deals available.

thewallran 2026-03-12 19:45

i got a '22 LR with a little more miles (68k) for cheaper than that around 19, you should keep looking out for better deals

FunkyTangg 2026-03-12 19:59

This has HW3?

CriticalAPI 2026-03-12 20:18

I also have a CPO Tesla, bought it pretty much with the same mileage etc. Buy it, you won't regret it. I love these leasing vehicles that come back to Tesla.

wolo-exe 2026-03-12 20:39

for a 2023 47k miles thats a decent deal

throwawayfuqreddit 2026-03-12 20:47

Yes.

menntu 2026-03-12 20:56

Details please.

LordFuqo_the_Adequat 2026-03-12 21:08

I got a 2023 with 18k miles from Tesla for $23,700...RWD, one owner, no accidents...

McFatty7 2026-03-12 21:09

This car most likely has HW3. Don't buy any car with HW3. It's already reaching its computational limits and is only receiving occasional maintenance/safety TeslaOS updates. Either get an HW4 car or wait for an HW4 car to become cheaper later.

iRedditTodayMan 2026-03-12 21:17

Lmfao this is scary. This is the exact same deal I took two years ago for the blue version.

TeslaCrna 2026-03-12 21:22

It seems expensive for almost 50k miles on it. But still worth it.

JaxSnaxs 2026-03-12 21:22

What would you say about 2024 model Y 56k miles for 26k$

solar-jutsu 2026-03-12 21:51

test drove a 2023 today and id be interested , willing to drive/fly to get it too

solar-jutsu 2026-03-12 21:52

wiredbombshell 2026-03-12 21:58

Then I must’ve gotten a steal. 36k miles for 21k for. 2023 RWD M3

wolo-exe 2026-03-12 22:04

ops offer isn't amazing or anything, that's basically all i could find when i was in the market for one. 21k for a 2023 model 3 is a steal. changes things a lot though if this was during or after the tax credit

wiredbombshell 2026-03-12 22:07

After. My 2021 RWD M3 battery kicked the bucket and needed 8k in battery repairs and I needed a car ASAP. Traded in for 10 something thousand. Was a pretty good experience minus the broken windshield and door hanging so far it was scraping the B pillar at delivery of the new car. Both were fixed for free tho. Edit: After as in no credit at all applied to purchase of vehicle

BroomSweeper99 2026-03-12 22:22

That’s a great deal imo

Illustrious-Read-852 2026-03-12 22:54

Same! because I just got a 2023 with 30k miles for 21k last week. It also came with three months of FSD, supercharging, and premium connectivity

wiredbombshell 2026-03-12 22:57

Same bro. Free supercharging for 3 months, 3 months of premium connectivity and FSD. Damn good deal

karenjoy8 2026-03-12 23:08

That’s how much i owe on mine and i have the same vehicle / year

Gloomy-Morning-4696 2026-03-12 23:09

Okay cool pm me we can connect on it.

JetBlackToasty 2026-03-12 23:14

EVAUTO has one at 32k miles for the same price. I haven't used them but I follow the owner on youtube and he seems like he runs a good company.

nachos3 2026-03-12 23:27

For over 10k more and that only benefits fsd. HW5 will be out by the time hw4 is cheap

greatscar 2026-03-13 00:13

Great deal

gtg465x2 2026-03-13 00:16

Only matters for those willing to spend $100 / month on FSD. Something tells me people shopping for $20k Teslas ain’t paying the monthly fee for FSD.

Substantial-Big8008 2026-03-13 00:19

Hw3 is trash. And the mileage is high. Next

undonedomm 2026-03-13 01:19

Even better with hw4

Eyehopeuchoke 2026-03-13 01:52

For comparison; My wife just picked up a 2023 model 3 rwd standard range with 10k miles for $27k from Carvana.

ScaryTransportation4 2026-03-13 07:14

I have the same car with 50k miles and Carvana is offering $20,500.

Head_Panda6986 2026-03-13 08:16

No

gsuoumu 2026-03-13 12:04

Pretty much exactly the car I jumped on yesterday. Waiting for delivery now!

irie56 2026-03-13 16:45

Good to know. Values have improved over the past couple mos

Beer_and_Biology 2026-03-14 02:00

that's not a deal
