Not terrible but I'd personally go for a slightly older one just to be on the winning side of the depreciation. I got my 2016 model S with free unlimited supercharging for $12k lol
I'm more curious how this car is simulaneously indoors and outdoors at the same time
I have rwd and I regret it battery die so fast and missing so much features
💀
I would not buy rwd find a LR I bought a used LR and love it
Same. I was wondering why the car was in a tent in the snow!
AI
That's awesome
I have a rwd and it’s pretty great, if you travel far then maybe it’s not for you but if your daily commute is nothing crazy then you should be fine. My only concern would be snow, it’s not a great performer in the snow especially when deep
Am I tripping?? Did the girlfriend slip me LSD again.....
I love my 23 rwd . 37k for 2100
Thanks! God is good!
What's wrong with RWD for long drives? I enjoy my car quite a lot but it's RWD only. It performs decent enough in snow but you can definitely tell the difference.
Check for HW4.
This. RWD LR gives you more options in the long run.
If it has HW4 then it’s a good buy
For longer drives it can definitely be quite annoying since you need to worry about where to charge but it’s only really when I go into Brooklyn. I kind of suck at being at the wheel for long so those charge stops and fsd help me a lot. The cold weather is when the lfp versions really struggle
Battery range?
Thank you. This picture is fucking with my head. I can’t parse it.
I still owe $38 on my LR so don’t beat yourself up about it
Ah, so range + cold which makes EV range worse. Makes sense if that's the case.
Are you able to verify if it’s HW4? I would only buy it if it has that, unless you have zero intentions on using FSD.
Yeah but other than that I love the thing.
Just a background swap edit. You can see the reflection of stuff when the picture was taken outside, like trees on the windows, besides the obvious snow.
Yes
Photo taken outside, the "indoor" background added in post.
Depends on use case. I have a 22 rwd that I have put 80k miles on already with many road trips and work trips. No issues so far.
I think it depends. I’m in California and got a RWD LFP car.
If FSD doesn't matter to you and you're just looking for low miles and affordable, go for a 2022. They tend to be cheaper, are exactly the same and have the same FSD computer. You can find a 2022 with about 30k miles for about 19k sometimes. But if FSD does matter to you, don't buy anything older than 2024 since they will all have HW3 which is not really the best for FSD moving forward. Also be weary. This car has had some obvious photo editing done with the background being that weird grey with it clearly being outside. So it might not look like it does in the picture.
All the free charging he wants, at 50kW/hr!
140kw/h since it's a 90 battery now but yeah
I wouldnt for the 3 because 2023 has the Ryzen chip.
May I ask how you were able to land the free supercharging?
https://preview.redd.it/fbqctcprkdng1.jpeg?width=869&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc450106d3d115555ea2ddf24b0af9a87c5e21bf
It was decently common in models from 2012-2016 as a promotion to boost sales. Sc01 stands for free. Unlimited transferable supercharging The new free charging you see is on the Luxe package that's considered sc05 which means non-transferable free supercharging, so whenever it gets sold the free charging goes away with it.
Which LR?
I believe HW4 only came on the highland
That would be a highland model 3
I would buy any Tesla today without HW4. Unless I had no option.
Ditto
Miles ? But if you want FSD it’s better to go for slightly newer one ..
Our 2023 lfp battery seems to be doing great. At full charge new, the range was 272. 2 years in, it had dropped to 260 mikes fully charged. It then improved to 263 miles at full charge and has been doing that for the last 6 months.
2023 is amd switch over year
Its HW3, does FSD not work on HW3?
Good deal for sure. That’s a great car with low mileage
I have the same car but AWD LR. It was 24k miles at time of purchase and it’s at 54k now. Not a single issue whatsoever and I love it
You can watch videos on the comparison on YouTube. They're virtually the same. Don't let it be the deciding factor. Edit to add: yes it works on HW3 and it's pretty much the same
Wow, you don’t have a snow machine in your garage? Bro, how do you even snowboard?
Every comparison I've seen for FSD has HW3 and HW4 as nearly identical. Of course Tesla wants you to believe there's a huge improvement in HW4.......
It works great. I drive it 100% of the time in FSD. I have the same car. If you like long trips, it sucks. Charging speed is minimal compared to other cars. I hope that V14 Lite will make it like a neutered HW4 car.
Yes buy it, then I can sell my 2023 for at least 20k
Why is this car in an indoor desert
LFP struggles in the winter but if you have home charging it’s a great car! 2023 has a heat pump so there’s still improvement. I’ve had no issues and have driven it on quite a few road trips.
I would wait a year while the 2023-24 leases cycle out and be on the winning side of the depreciation of the 23 and 24 models.
How much range would i lose in the winter parked outside my work for 8 hours not plugged in?
This is a good question because I’ve been through this at my apartment lol. So the problem is with freezing temps you can see 8-10% drop on standby and when driving you will lose 50% range. Some people might say differently but this has been my experience.
Ahh! Why must i live in a city that has freezing temps half of the year but thanks for ur input!
🤣
I have one and I'd say no
I just traded in my 23 rwd for $23k to a dealership. Similar miles. Maybe used ev will go up without autopilot on the new cars?
Lmao look at the rear driverside window. There's trees in the tent.
Are you talking about EVs in general, or RWD? RWD is better for long drives vs AWD due to better efficiency, however the difference (20-30 miles) is not noticeable
HW3 can't even get out of my gated community. HW4 can. Also HW4 is end to end and parks for you. It's a significant upgrade in decision making
My rwd is my first and only ev experience. I might need to experience more bc I am thinking of upgrading to a rivian r2 unless Tesla can convince me to stay with their model s/x replacement. The range isn’t a deal breaker but there are definitely days that I wish it was slightly better
thats a great deal
Why?
I got my 2019 M3 LR AWD with 35000 miles for £16,000 approx $20000 I think so the fact you’re getting one for almost the same as me and a newer model, go for it!
That seems like a fair price tbh.
Correct, yes sir. Anything made after October 2016 has hw3 so I'm currently looking into one with free charging and fsd. Very hard to come by & more expensive than my current
what is LFP?
Yes
Dang that’s a great deal! I got one for 1k less and 47k miles. Still the best car I’ve ever driven
I've been in both. HW3 was pretty disappointing on the road and felt like it was just slow at doing things. HW4 is pretty much the whole package, it does basically everything for you. Sure HW3 can drive for you, but it doesn't do it as good, and will most likely never will since the new updates rely on features of HW4.
I’ve got one with about the same mileage, I’d like to think that it’s worth more! 😜 Take it it’s a great car!
Battery chemistry. The car can be charged to 100% daily and degradation curve is much better compared to the regular battery.
Bought my 23 for $19k and got $7k credit. 48k miles
how did you get a different battery
I got my 2023 with 21,000 miles for 25k. Best purchase.
22k? Yeah, very much so. I doubt I could find a high milage from 2019 with that price, where I live.
That's about what I bought mine for last week. 20500 for same trim and year, but 46000 miles
LFP cars came out mid 2022 and all 2023 RWDs have it. There’s all a handful of 2021 RWDs that have it too.
Worth more than that.
Got the same 25k with 30k miles last years. Back then, there is 4000 incentives so it was better deals for me. And I love it
so OP 2022 RWD could have LFP battery? What is the range or charging speed relative to the LR battery?
I bought a new y for $45k that’s now at 34k miles and every fiber of my body wishes I did this deal instead.
Does Tesla still charge an arm and a leg to activate fast charging when a vehicle changes owner?
...snow?
that's snow dawg
I didnt know that was a thing lol thats stupid if thats true
U should get it before someone else does, all the good used ev prices where I live are bought off because gas prices went up
The RWD teslas have smaller batteries.
I think it's worth imo
Bad in the winter, for the money the interior and quality has been feeling very outdated compared to the refresh. The efficiency is good, but you can tell it's behind compared to the refresh. The suspension is terrible, I have to change so many pieces right now but thankfully still under warranty. The doors feel cheap and the cabin noise is just so bad. The sound isolation is not good when driving. Just so many things that if someone was looking into a 2023 I'd tell them to save their money and save for a refresh instead. The bang for the buck is just much better. The 2023 for me really feels like the trial model 3 that showed success and the refresh is where they decided to really make it nice.
Seems like a fair price to me.
Indoor dessert* it’s sitting on a big tub of ice cream
I got an 18 RW LR and drive well over 150 miles a day! Great car
It was. An American friend of mine purchased a used Tesla. Had to pay Tesla $16,000.00 US to activate the fast charging feature.
Very carefully
As of today? They are the same capacity for RWD and AWD unless you are not in US.
We’re talking about a 2023 car here…
Yes
Gas prices about to skyrocket
23 M3 LR, think it was about 70’total
Hopefully you bought gap. The good thing is that you can drive that car over 200k miles.
Refied with gap and gap on State Farm
They ll go lower …. Hold out ,master negotiations.
Yes
Yeah one day i want to do it the next im like nah lets wait abit longer lol
how did you get free supercharging? Is that transferrable from vehicle to vehicle?
I mean, you can definitely find cheaper, but this is a good deal also. How do you get the ability to post? Every time I try it, it never posts.
