Not terrible but I'd personally go for a slightly older one just to be on the winning side of the depreciation. I got my 2016 model S with free unlimited supercharging for $12k lol

TasteWaste3771 2026-03-06 04:51

I'm more curious how this car is simulaneously indoors and outdoors at the same time

miguelshah 2026-03-06 04:51

I have rwd and I regret it battery die so fast and missing so much features

Balancedone_1 2026-03-06 04:51

💀

Asquaredbred 2026-03-06 04:52

I would not buy rwd find a LR I bought a used LR and love it

Valaj369 2026-03-06 04:52

Same. I was wondering why the car was in a tent in the snow!

Firm_Music5317 2026-03-06 04:53

AI

Da_Vader 2026-03-06 04:55

That's awesome

Ok-Wrap-9779 2026-03-06 05:02

I have a rwd and it’s pretty great, if you travel far then maybe it’s not for you but if your daily commute is nothing crazy then you should be fine. My only concern would be snow, it’s not a great performer in the snow especially when deep

East_Yellow8389 2026-03-06 05:09

Am I tripping?? Did the girlfriend slip me LSD again.....

ihopemyteamwins 2026-03-06 05:12

I love my 23 rwd . 37k for 2100

choking_ur_girl 2026-03-06 05:13

Thanks! God is good!

AP_in_Indy 2026-03-06 05:15

What's wrong with RWD for long drives? I enjoy my car quite a lot but it's RWD only. It performs decent enough in snow but you can definitely tell the difference.

dextroz 2026-03-06 05:16

Check for HW4.

dextroz 2026-03-06 05:16

This. RWD LR gives you more options in the long run.

Super-Kirby 2026-03-06 05:18

If it has HW4 then it’s a good buy

Ok-Wrap-9779 2026-03-06 05:18

For longer drives it can definitely be quite annoying since you need to worry about where to charge but it’s only really when I go into Brooklyn. I kind of suck at being at the wheel for long so those charge stops and fsd help me a lot. The cold weather is when the lfp versions really struggle

fsociety74 2026-03-06 05:23

Battery range?

shifteru 2026-03-06 05:23

Thank you. This picture is fucking with my head. I can’t parse it.

ManifestYourWorld 2026-03-06 05:25

I still owe $38 on my LR so don’t beat yourself up about it

AP_in_Indy 2026-03-06 05:29

Ah, so range + cold which makes EV range worse. Makes sense if that's the case.

flyhigh217 2026-03-06 05:29

Are you able to verify if it’s HW4? I would only buy it if it has that, unless you have zero intentions on using FSD.

Ok-Wrap-9779 2026-03-06 05:30

Yeah but other than that I love the thing.

Picard-Maneuver 2026-03-06 05:37

Just a background swap edit. You can see the reflection of stuff when the picture was taken outside, like trees on the windows, besides the obvious snow.

DP-ology 2026-03-06 05:39

Yes

ctzn4 2026-03-06 05:42

Photo taken outside, the "indoor" background added in post.

TengokuIkari 2026-03-06 05:48

Depends on use case. I have a 22 rwd that I have put 80k miles on already with many road trips and work trips. No issues so far.

y0Mark 2026-03-06 05:51

I think it depends. I’m in California and got a RWD LFP car.

EvilNickel 2026-03-06 05:54

If FSD doesn't matter to you and you're just looking for low miles and affordable, go for a 2022. They tend to be cheaper, are exactly the same and have the same FSD computer. You can find a 2022 with about 30k miles for about 19k sometimes. But if FSD does matter to you, don't buy anything older than 2024 since they will all have HW3 which is not really the best for FSD moving forward. Also be weary. This car has had some obvious photo editing done with the background being that weird grey with it clearly being outside. So it might not look like it does in the picture.

abgtw 2026-03-06 06:02

All the free charging he wants, at 50kW/hr!

choking_ur_girl 2026-03-06 06:22

140kw/h since it's a 90 battery now but yeah

Nulight 2026-03-06 06:24

I wouldnt for the 3 because 2023 has the Ryzen chip.

Tiny-Dust-9261 2026-03-06 07:08

May I ask how you were able to land the free supercharging?

chunky_doll 2026-03-06 07:13

https://preview.redd.it/fbqctcprkdng1.jpeg?width=869&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc450106d3d115555ea2ddf24b0af9a87c5e21bf

choking_ur_girl 2026-03-06 07:28

It was decently common in models from 2012-2016 as a promotion to boost sales. Sc01 stands for free. Unlimited transferable supercharging The new free charging you see is on the Luxe package that's considered sc05 which means non-transferable free supercharging, so whenever it gets sold the free charging goes away with it.

Voidfang_Investments 2026-03-06 10:08

Which LR?

vassman86 2026-03-06 10:45

I believe HW4 only came on the highland

vassman86 2026-03-06 10:45

That would be a highland model 3

dextroz 2026-03-06 11:05

I would buy any Tesla today without HW4. Unless I had no option.

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-06 11:27

Ditto

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-03-06 11:29

Miles ? But if you want FSD it’s better to go for slightly newer one ..

GertrudeGarbarcowitz 2026-03-06 12:36

Our 2023 lfp battery seems to be doing great. At full charge new, the range was 272. 2 years in, it had dropped to 260 mikes fully charged. It then improved to 263 miles at full charge and has been doing that for the last 6 months.

rboat 2026-03-06 13:17

2023 is amd switch over year

thetopper1919 2026-03-06 13:30

Its HW3, does FSD not work on HW3?

FastGrapefruit6841 2026-03-06 13:32

Good deal for sure. That’s a great car with low mileage

Beebjank 2026-03-06 13:40

I have the same car but AWD LR. It was 24k miles at time of purchase and it’s at 54k now. Not a single issue whatsoever and I love it

Crusher10833 2026-03-06 13:43

You can watch videos on the comparison on YouTube. They're virtually the same. Don't let it be the deciding factor. Edit to add: yes it works on HW3 and it's pretty much the same

Humble-Morning-323 2026-03-06 13:44

Wow, you don’t have a snow machine in your garage? Bro, how do you even snowboard?

Crusher10833 2026-03-06 13:46

Every comparison I've seen for FSD has HW3 and HW4 as nearly identical. Of course Tesla wants you to believe there's a huge improvement in HW4.......

Quick_Possibility_99 2026-03-06 13:49

It works great. I drive it 100% of the time in FSD. I have the same car. If you like long trips, it sucks. Charging speed is minimal compared to other cars. I hope that V14 Lite will make it like a neutered HW4 car.

Preternatural88 2026-03-06 13:58

Yes buy it, then I can sell my 2023 for at least 20k

javedk1 2026-03-06 14:01

Why is this car in an indoor desert

KeyLeek2570 2026-03-06 14:07

LFP struggles in the winter but if you have home charging it’s a great car! 2023 has a heat pump so there’s still improvement. I’ve had no issues and have driven it on quite a few road trips.

Little_Obligation_90 2026-03-06 14:12

I would wait a year while the 2023-24 leases cycle out and be on the winning side of the depreciation of the 23 and 24 models.

thetopper1919 2026-03-06 14:15

How much range would i lose in the winter parked outside my work for 8 hours not plugged in?

KeyLeek2570 2026-03-06 14:19

This is a good question because I’ve been through this at my apartment lol. So the problem is with freezing temps you can see 8-10% drop on standby and when driving you will lose 50% range. Some people might say differently but this has been my experience.

thetopper1919 2026-03-06 14:22

Ahh! Why must i live in a city that has freezing temps half of the year but thanks for ur input!

kw_rc 2026-03-06 14:24

🤣

SpadesOfENT 2026-03-06 14:44

I have one and I'd say no

HistoricalJob2807 2026-03-06 14:48

I just traded in my 23 rwd for $23k to a dealership. Similar miles. Maybe used ev will go up without autopilot on the new cars?

koopavilla 2026-03-06 14:54

Lmao look at the rear driverside window. There's trees in the tent.

Master-Journalist888 2026-03-06 15:05

Are you talking about EVs in general, or RWD? RWD is better for long drives vs AWD due to better efficiency, however the difference (20-30 miles) is not noticeable

-SUBW00FER- 2026-03-06 15:11

HW3 can't even get out of my gated community. HW4 can. Also HW4 is end to end and parks for you. It's a significant upgrade in decision making

Ok-Wrap-9779 2026-03-06 15:15

My rwd is my first and only ev experience. I might need to experience more bc I am thinking of upgrading to a rivian r2 unless Tesla can convince me to stay with their model s/x replacement. The range isn’t a deal breaker but there are definitely days that I wish it was slightly better

Clu_Rebooted 2026-03-06 15:25

thats a great deal

thetopper1919 2026-03-06 15:26

Why?

ADVMMUSIC 2026-03-06 15:38

I got my 2019 M3 LR AWD with 35000 miles for £16,000 approx $20000 I think so the fact you’re getting one for almost the same as me and a newer model, go for it!

rwb12 2026-03-06 15:59

That seems like a fair price tbh.

choking_ur_girl 2026-03-06 16:03

Correct, yes sir. Anything made after October 2016 has hw3 so I'm currently looking into one with free charging and fsd. Very hard to come by & more expensive than my current

Asquaredbred 2026-03-06 16:29

what is LFP?

Away-Scar7754 2026-03-06 16:40

Yes

sadmadtired 2026-03-06 16:42

Dang that’s a great deal! I got one for 1k less and 47k miles. Still the best car I’ve ever driven

EvilNickel 2026-03-06 17:00

I've been in both. HW3 was pretty disappointing on the road and felt like it was just slow at doing things. HW4 is pretty much the whole package, it does basically everything for you. Sure HW3 can drive for you, but it doesn't do it as good, and will most likely never will since the new updates rely on features of HW4.

Defiant_Victory_6049 2026-03-06 17:00

I’ve got one with about the same mileage, I’d like to think that it’s worth more! 😜 Take it it’s a great car!

y0Mark 2026-03-06 17:02

Battery chemistry. The car can be charged to 100% daily and degradation curve is much better compared to the regular battery.

fosh1zzle 2026-03-06 17:04

Bought my 23 for $19k and got $7k credit. 48k miles

Asquaredbred 2026-03-06 18:09

how did you get a different battery

Unaware-of-Puns 2026-03-06 18:26

I got my 2023 with 21,000 miles for 25k. Best purchase.

HuffN_puffN 2026-03-06 18:39

22k? Yeah, very much so. I doubt I could find a high milage from 2019 with that price, where I live.

TheLegendaryWizard 2026-03-06 18:42

That's about what I bought mine for last week. 20500 for same trim and year, but 46000 miles

y0Mark 2026-03-06 18:54

LFP cars came out mid 2022 and all 2023 RWDs have it. There’s all a handful of 2021 RWDs that have it too.

Rickmc3280 2026-03-06 19:26

Worth more than that.

itsmeumkay 2026-03-06 20:21

Got the same 25k with 30k miles last years. Back then, there is 4000 incentives so it was better deals for me. And I love it

Asquaredbred 2026-03-06 21:47

so OP 2022 RWD could have LFP battery? What is the range or charging speed relative to the LR battery?

Conscious_Activity37 2026-03-06 21:52

I bought a new y for $45k that’s now at 34k miles and every fiber of my body wishes I did this deal instead.

Dizzy-Community-4970 2026-03-07 01:00

Does Tesla still charge an arm and a leg to activate fast charging when a vehicle changes owner?

Empty_Buffalo_2820 2026-03-07 03:13

...snow?

Empty_Buffalo_2820 2026-03-07 03:13

that's snow dawg

thetopper1919 2026-03-07 03:43

I didnt know that was a thing lol thats stupid if thats true

Wonderalmondmilk 2026-03-07 05:45

U should get it before someone else does, all the good used ev prices where I live are bought off because gas prices went up

vdek 2026-03-07 09:11

The RWD teslas have smaller batteries.

Verlex93 2026-03-07 12:11

I think it's worth imo

SpadesOfENT 2026-03-07 13:03

Bad in the winter, for the money the interior and quality has been feeling very outdated compared to the refresh. The efficiency is good, but you can tell it's behind compared to the refresh. The suspension is terrible, I have to change so many pieces right now but thankfully still under warranty. The doors feel cheap and the cabin noise is just so bad. The sound isolation is not good when driving. Just so many things that if someone was looking into a 2023 I'd tell them to save their money and save for a refresh instead. The bang for the buck is just much better. The 2023 for me really feels like the trial model 3 that showed success and the refresh is where they decided to really make it nice.

FocusFrosty1581 2026-03-07 16:50

Seems like a fair price to me.

SuperfastBananaSlug 2026-03-07 16:53

Indoor dessert* it’s sitting on a big tub of ice cream

Fresh-Bid6315 2026-03-07 17:47

I got an 18 RW LR and drive well over 150 miles a day! Great car

Dizzy-Community-4970 2026-03-07 18:31

It was. An American friend of mine purchased a used Tesla. Had to pay Tesla $16,000.00 US to activate the fast charging feature.

mrandr01d 2026-03-07 19:14

Very carefully

Master-Journalist888 2026-03-07 23:47

As of today? They are the same capacity for RWD and AWD unless you are not in US.

vdek 2026-03-07 23:48

We’re talking about a 2023 car here…

spewing-oil 2026-03-08 05:11

Yes

bichicagoguy 2026-03-08 17:48

Gas prices about to skyrocket

ManifestYourWorld 2026-03-09 05:03

23 M3 LR, think it was about 70’total

Voidfang_Investments 2026-03-09 11:34

Hopefully you bought gap. The good thing is that you can drive that car over 200k miles.

ManifestYourWorld 2026-03-09 14:06

Refied with gap and gap on State Farm

MichaelDecember09 2026-03-10 01:28

They ll go lower …. Hold out ,master negotiations.

Infamous-Setting7876 2026-03-10 03:27

Yes

thetopper1919 2026-03-10 03:38

Yeah one day i want to do it the next im like nah lets wait abit longer lol

Big_Connection2761 2026-03-11 16:05

how did you get free supercharging? Is that transferrable from vehicle to vehicle?

Odd_Turn_4867 2026-03-12 18:46

I mean, you can definitely find cheaper, but this is a good deal also. How do you get the ability to post? Every time I try it, it never posts.
