The Contenders: 1. Model 3 Premium AWD (Highland+): \* The Pull: 4.2s 0-60 and the AWD handling. It would be a "diverse" addition to the garage—something low, sporty, and completely different from the Jeep. • The Hesitation: Lower seating position for car seats (though rarely used in this car) and less cargo flexibility than a hatch. 2. Model Y Premium RWD (Juniper Refresh): • The Pull: The updated cabin, the 17-speaker studio sound system (now standard on the Premium RWD), and the hatchback utility. The 5.4s 0-60 feels "quick enough" for a daily. • The Hesitation: It’s somewhat redundant to the Jeep’s utility. Does it feel like "just another SUV" in the driveway? Driving dynamics you will only notice if you drive back roads. The 3 feels more planted. If you’re doing highway driving or going around town I don’t think it would be as much of a difference

If you need my opinion: you have Jeep and if have plans to keep it - get 3. If you want Y then sell Jeep not to pay for second insurance/extra maintenance/gas etc. Or keep Jeep with winter tires for bad weather/dirty stuff only if money allow, but it needs to be driven regularly.

We currently have both, and I was coming from a Hyundai Tucson to the model Y while my partner had the 3 RWD. If you’re coming from another SUV I would really suggest test driving both, because I hated how low the model 3 was. Personally I think the Y drives amazingly and I didn’t notice much a difference from the AWD or the RWD (but I was coming from an ICE car and anything was an improvement 😅)

Wife has 3 rwd and I have a Y performance. I used to have a 3 rwd and it’s a totally fine daily driver. But now that I have tasted the awd, driving the rwd is very slow. Going up hill felt like flooring it. I would value the 3 awd since you have a jeep. Oh and that 3 go kart feeling is the best.
