FSD (Supervised) v13.2.9 only shows 3 settings vs 5 on test drive — missing features or UI change

Hi all — we just bought a Tesla and I’m confused about the FSD settings/options. A few weeks ago we test drove a Tesla and in FSD mode there were 5 options/settings to choose from. On our new car we only see 3 options, and it looks like there are no software updates available. Current software on our car: * 2025.44.300 * FSD (Supervised) v13.2.9 * HW4 * Update preference set to Advanced * Car says it’s up to date We called Tesla support: * First rep said we might need service * When we tried to schedule service in the app, it basically wouldn’t let us (seemed like it got denied) * Called again and another rep said we have the “factory updates” and everything looks fine, and told us the usual (Advanced updates + keep on Wi-Fi) Questions: 1. Is it normal on FSD v13.x to have fewer visible settings than older builds / demo cars? 2. Were some FSD options removed or moved somewhere else in newer UI versions? 3. Anything else I should check to confirm our VIN is eligible for the same FSD features as the demo vehicle? Appreciate any help — happy to post screenshots of the Autopilot/FSD settings page if that would help.

If you literally just drove it home then I've been told that FSD v14 takes a while to get updated onto your car, maybe like a week or so.

V13 is not the expected version on a HW4 car. If you bought the car new you’ll have to wait a few weeks (minimum) for the first real software update. If it’s an older car - is it actually HW4? Does it have terminator eyes in the cameras?

You will get a v14 update soon along with 5 driving profiles.

All new cars currently are delivering with V13.2.9, but should update itself over the next two weeks to V14.2.2.x Hang tight a little bit.

Picked up a new Model Y today. It has the exact same version. Yes my demo 3 weeks ago had v14.xxx. I have read it will take 2 weeks or before they pust a more up to date version

A HW3 car would not have v13 it would have v12. New cars still come with v13.

Your second rep was correct. It could take a month to get the first update sent to your car. The demo car has likely had FSD 14 for months; it was released in November. FSD 13 has fewer driving profiles than FSD 14 so everything you are experiencing is expected until you get that 1st non factory update. They are likely still delivery cars on FSD 13 as it performs better than 14 to this point

They send updates when they feel like it. I don't know their exact methodology, but it took us a week or two to get our first update. Keep checking your app or the Software tab to see if an update is available. Then, connect the car to wi-fi to download. Then the install will get scheduled for 3:00 AM and you won't be able to drive for an hour. You can change the scheduled time (not day, I don't think). Our first two updates got pushed down, through LTE or at a Supercharger. Just woke up with new software. After that, we started having to connect to wi-fi for download. FYI, FSD v14 is when Sloth and Mad Max were added to Chill, Standard, and Hurry. But it took away the ability to set or adjust speed. Many people hate it.

When I picked up mine a few ago, it already had the icon with an update available. Just wait and it’ll come sooner or later. Make sure you’re connected to WiFi and have the software update to advanced or whatever it’s called.

Awesome thanks so much for all your responses! This is our first tesla, but it is wild how much stuff it has. I spent like 3 hours just figuring it out. Really need to buy some tesla stock this thing is awesome!

Some superchargers have WiFi your car will automatically connect to. Tesla may push some updates over cellular, but not for most standard updates.
