2022 Model 3 HW3

Hey everyone! New to the sub but me and wifey just bought a 2026 MYP with delivery this Saturday. I am also interested in Tesla because I’m in medical device sales and drive about 500-700 miles a week. Since I drive so much, FSD is something I feel like will make my life a lot more stress free. I was looking at the 22-23 M3 but was wondering how FSD works on the HW3 compared to HW4. My price range is under 30k so the older m3 is more in my price range.

If FSD is a priority then you need a HW4 car.

I have HW3 FSD and I like to tell people it’s like a 16 year old who’s driven across the country. Not bad, has experience, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement.

Best rep car out there

Used HW4 MY is the way to go if you want good FSD and want to save money

Hahahaha that’s hilarious. I don’t trust my 16 year old brother in law to drive so I guess HW4 might be the way to go

Great to hear! I need something that’s better on gas than my 4runner

I wouldn’t say it’s a priority, but I will be using it if I have it. I don’t mind driving and actually like driving. But if it’s there, I would use it

I own a 22 M3LR with AMD and HW3. FSD which I subscribe to is pretty good. It has a few quirks but I know them and supervise more closely in those situations. I have been planning to test drive a HW4 car and run it through all the quirk situations that I know to see how it does.

What do you have?

I use FSD all the time on a HW3 car. If I was looking to buy a car, I wouldn't consider HW3 cars. FSD works well but all the dev work is targeting HW4. Get a HW4 car.
