Wtf is a luxe package

baronvontrollicus 2026-02-20 03:15

FSD + additional warranty + lifetime supercharging + premium connectivity

kuse94 2026-02-20 03:27

Didn’t know Cybertruck got it as well, just the S and X

TheRealMoash 2026-02-20 03:43

And how exactly was that attainable?

LizardsoftheGhost 2026-02-20 03:57

This sucks. I’m taking delivery of the beast next week. I can cancel, re-order and save a ton of money, or keep my current order with the beast w/luxe but instantly lose 20k since the luxe doesn’t transfer down the road

buttbanger10000 2026-02-20 04:07

Why would you not buy used with low miles and save over 30-40% in depreciation?

LoneStarGut 2026-02-20 04:10

I'd keep the order. I'd love the unlimited supercharging.

LizardsoftheGhost 2026-02-20 04:16

I get what you’re saying but used CT’s don’t exist. And if they are for sale, they are almost all MSRP prices with lots of miles, so you might as well buy new instead

unshiftedearth34 2026-02-20 04:20

I always ask the same question and never seem to understand why people do it. Just burning money.

LoneStarGut 2026-02-20 04:21

Not all of them did, only the top of the line Cyberbeast.

Hockeyshot39 2026-02-20 04:23

Buying it lmao

Hockeyshot39 2026-02-20 04:23

Where have you been lol

Pitiful-Assistance-1 2026-02-20 05:34

In my case, 0% APR is about as cheap as used with 7% APR, and all other costs stay the same (including massive amount of taxes in my country)

jedi2155 2026-02-20 05:48

You get FSD + Free supercharging. Keep it. Especially since you don't have to ever worry about supercharging pricing while towing etc. ever again. I've put about 10,000 kWh of supercharging since I got my truck in a bit over a year (at current pricing that's $5500/year).

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 06:26

Well for the Cyberbeast buying used makes SOME sense. But they're the first year and they had issues. This is 2 years in now and all of the kinks have been worked out design flaws aside. Now, the AWD model has held its value tremendously. You'd be stupid to buy it used. They're all in the 70s 2 years used and a new one is 79 with full warranty.

IPThereforeIAm 2026-02-20 09:52

But FSD and charging don’t transfer if you sell the car, right?

AmbitiousFunction911 2026-02-20 13:07

Correct

ilaqirat 2026-02-20 14:11

Was looking at getting a used CT but decided to hold off because the depreciation I feel like will hit eventually on them. Bought a used MY with FSD as a placeholder as my first Tesla and am in Love! Can’t wait to get a CT eventually.

Jello_Local 2026-02-20 15:23

Depreciation hits EVERYTHING eventually. That's a weird way of shopping. The AWD model was 79k 2 years ago. A 2025, used with 12k miles, somehow this example is over $80k. A new 2026 is only $79k. That scared you? You could've drove one for a year for free. (Not including taxes) But you get what I mean. Most cars don't do that. With this new model, it'll certainly drop though. But if you bought a 2024 or 25 up until now, you would've made out very good. Heck, my model y that I bought used a year ago us worth MORE. So is my model 3 I bought new in August. Ignore the news and just go research yourself. https://preview.redd.it/h4c2jjhf3okg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3d02cfe5dffda9dda86a3b1dc4a6a55b2e3af33

ilaqirat 2026-02-20 15:49

I don’t wanna spend $80,000 on the truck right now. Historically Teslas and any other cars usually depreciate pretty well. I assume that these cars will do the same and I’d rather not lose that depreciation on my dime and wait for someone else to pay it and then buy it later for much less. I had another vehicle that I had to get rid of and was falling apart, so I was able to even trade that car for the model Y. Hopefully within the year or so I’ll be able to buy the CT from much cheaper once it actually gets the depreciation.

j12 2026-02-20 18:21

Over 100k miles if you only supercharge it would cost 20k roughly

TheRealMoash 2026-02-20 20:25

Yeah… I get that. I’ve never seen it available… so I was wondering if it was like a special… only certain areas offer it or what. Never seen a luxe pkg offer

RetroGaming4 2026-02-22 15:32

Did not realize that!

baronvontrollicus 2026-02-22 16:54

It definitely isn't / wasn't for everyone. I have a MSP that has 3 years of supercharging included which was a short time before they included lifetime supercharging and then finally introduced the luxe package. Have about 28k miles now and close to 10kwh in superchargering last year since I travel significantly for work. No brainer for me that it is worth it. Once my 3 years are up I'll see if they ever offer something similar.

ZealousidealSteak593 2026-02-23 15:36

For the free super charging and FSD. Over the life of the vehicle it would pay back I'm sure. If kept till wheels fall off.

AdditionalLead7265 2026-03-06 02:00

Wish it was still around, I would absolutely buy a Cyberbeast for Luxe. Until then I'll keep my Poverty Trim (59k)
