HW3 vs. HW4 v14 follow distance in slow traffic

How is it with follow distance w HW4 fsd? I have fsd on hw3, but now refuse to use it specifically in high traffic because the follow distance is like 4-5 car lengths between 5-35mph. Literally every human that ever drives behind me flashes their lights, tailgates, and drives with their driver side tires over the line watching the massive gap in front of me, and every car that cuts in front, to which the car brakes even worse. Massive follow distance, specifically in slow moving traffic is my single biggest pain point.
