2018 model 3 spoiler replacement - DIY or Shop?

I have a 2018 model 3 with a clearcoat damaged spoiler. I also have brand new Tesla spoiler sitting on my desk. When I got the new spoiler a while back I was not able to get it installed due to some other time constraints. I’m now looking to get it installed. I’ve read the Tesla service doc on install steps and watched a few videos. I’m somewhat handy with tools and meticulous when doing anything hands on DIY. Ppl have told me “it’s a 15 minute job”, but from looking at the videos it seems prepping the area is non-trivial. Eg using a rotary clay bar — which it seems could easily damage the paint. I do have a couple heat guns (low and high heat) to warm up the adhesive and various automotive cleaning products, along with 70% IPA. Should I dive in and just do it DIY? Or is there a place near Mountain View CA (SF Bay Area) that can do it for me for a reasonable cost? Thx

You're spending more time researching than what it would take to install it. It's stupid easy. Literally just double sided tape

So.. like getting the old adhesive off is not complicated? Thx for the encouragement tho!

Usually just peels right off. If not you can use a little bit of heat. I don't recommend scraping as that can cause damage. Remove residue with alcohol wipe and apply new spoiler
