Kia E-Niro discontinued

Seen the news that Kia E-Niros are now being discontinued from this year and are now just exclusively a hybrid vehicle. Wondering what people's thoughts on this are? Why this decision? Thought it was a strange one and I'm very disappointed. Personally loved the E-Niro, absolutely fantastic low entry level EV for people. Feel the Kia EVs are a fantastic car, but in that price bracket where Tesla's, BYDs, VWs etc become just as appealing

Because of the ev4 and ev3. The niro is aimed at basically the same market. I was in Kia today looking at the Ev5 and it's a beautiful car, but if I was in the niro market, 100% buying a ev4

The Niro kind of fell into its popularity by accident. It was an ICE vehicle that KIA turned into an EV because it’s what they had at the time. They’ve got their whole EV numbered range now so it is kind of hanging out there on it’s own. Makes sense for them to stop making it as an EV.

Just preferred the setup and look of the car, the ev3 is in a weird place, nearly the same price as an ev5.

Makes sense. I was in the market for an EV a few months ago and was disappointed how they priced the EV3.

If buying a second hand one from a dealer would there be a little more wiggle room with the price would you say now that it's being discontinued? I was actually looking at them as an option. Also, would selling it on in 4 or 5 years be problematic on my end?

I had a feeling with the EV3/4/5 introduction that they would drop the Niro with the midlife update. The EV3/4 is slightly smaller and the 5 bigger. What annoys me is the decline in specs. My 22 Niro 4 was €45k In GT LINE the EV3 is €48k EV4 is €52k EV5 is €55k EV6 Is €56k But many of the features available in other countries are missing along with bland choice of colours. Kia also stopped offering the GT version of the 6 and I don’t think they will offer the GT versions of the 3/4/5 here either as it would push the price too high.
