Unproven pa ang realibility ni BYD sure marami sa daan but most of them are not even 5 years old. If first car, not recommended talaga. Sasaluhin mo lahat ng possible problems niyan as a pioneer. Hopefully wala but yeah it's unproven unlike those car brands na decades na ang presence here in PH.

You're stuck with your dealership for maintenance. Knowing dealerships lalo na you don't have any leverage na ipagawa sa iba, mahal talaga quotation nila. Even veteran mechanics don't want to touch modern cars na may battery. Hassle pa yan na simpleng issue, your only option agad is by towing it to dealership. Kaya mura yung BYD because sa maintenance ka babawian. Then, again if money is not a problem, go for it. Problema ko kasi yun kaya di ako tumuloy hehe

If you wanted to buy because of the high oil prize or that you wanted to help against climate change, i suggest you buy a hybrid car instead. Electric car is not yet perfected in my opinion as its still very expensive to maintain it and our infrastructure is not as reliable for electric cars.
