Delivery Day Locked In.

dan9400 | 2026-03-10 12:49 | 88 views

It's official: my first EV is finally on the books! After seriously considering BYD and Zeekr, I just knew the Tesla was the right choice. Delivery day is set, and I'm already counting down the days. Getting everything ready to make it my own: it's booked in for a full matte PPF wrap and tint immediately, and my HaloBLK mats are already here and waiting. Cannot wait to get this on the road.

5 or 7 seater?

reddituser4049 2026-03-10 15:41

Same here. I pick mine up this Thursday. Will be driving it directly to the PPF-Tint place for a matte wrap. Mine is Stealth Grey.

Its a Y, so 5?

Sednal90 2026-03-10 16:36

I recently drove my first ever EV, a wagoneer s. I was going to purchase it (I work at the dealership and could get it for 35,000 otd) but it had some issues on my over the weekend test drive. I decided to test a new tesla model y and I know hands down I will be ordering a Model Y Performance! Congrats to you my friend!

I bet this feels so good knowing it’s almost here. I would be so stoked and the time would pass so slowly until it gets here. Congrats!

The Y allows for 7 seats.

dan9400 2026-03-10 19:22

5 seater, we don't get the 7 seater in Australia. We are getting the YL (6seater)

dan9400 2026-03-10 19:23

Ahh yes, same for me. Wait 2 weeks, finally get it, drive it for an hour and then another week of waiting

SimpleJackfruit 2026-03-10 19:36

I literally ordered my car on the 7th and then I got notified my car is ready today. I’m not even ready yet lmao and I’m leaving out of the country. I appreciate their hastiness but goddam 🤣🤣

ravin429 2026-03-11 01:04

When did you order it?

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:05

2nd March

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:06

Must be nice 😂

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:06

2nd March

ravin429 2026-03-11 01:06

Damn that’s a quick TAT! Congrats!! Enjoy! How much are you getting it wrapped for?

ravin429 2026-03-11 01:11

Congrats!! What is the full body ppf running you?

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:21

Ok so, Matte PPF wrap, interior clean, PPF coating, ceramic window tint and interior protection. For 8k (AUD) 6k of that is being included with my lease cost

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:22

Thank you. Yeah, Full body wrap

ravin429 2026-03-11 01:22

Nice! Enjoy the car, it’s unreal. Impatiently waiting for mine.

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:28

It's killing me, especially with what's happening in the Middle East and Aussie stations riding the high for their own gains.

ravin429 2026-03-11 01:34

Coming soon enough though, hang in there. It’s worth the wait, currently have a 2021 MY LR, trading in for a new MYP for the FSD transfer

michael3940 2026-03-11 01:50

I have the same pick up day, just an hour later. So excited. I didn’t get any tints or ppf, is it important?

dan9400 2026-03-11 01:51

Not really. I chose the ppf wrap to help keep the paint on the car in good condition as well as I got the tinted windows as living in Australia. The sun is very bright and harsh as well as having the white interior. I don't want any glare coming from the seats and it added bonus of having the windows tinted is that it keeps the inside of the vehicle cooler during hot days

michael3940 2026-03-11 01:53

Thank, enjoy!

emotional__teaspoon 2026-03-11 04:31

Standard or premium, I’m trying to decide ppf/ceramic ect for standard y 2026

dan9400 2026-03-11 04:34

Premium, we don't have the standard trim in Australia

dan9400 2026-03-11 06:45

PPD is better than Ceramic in terms of protection but costs alot more. Especially a full body wrap. I went for ppf cuz I'm getting a matte finish as well as this is my first time buying a brand new car and I wish to look after it as best as I can. It also helps that the wrap is being partly included within my lease

Mine is locked in for tomorrow. I get 2 or 3 texted a day from them to send in insurance and the last payment.
