BYD K9's back in service...... 👀

Sorry, I know they build and sell a lot of things for Metro, but every time I see the word "BYD" in this subreddit I get triggered by monorail nightmares

I saw a couple of them yesterday in service during the Am Peak period

With that model name, I wonder if Greyhound might use them.

These BYD buses are dogs... During the heatwave last week the AC was very weak and it was stuck in congestion down the I-10 Express Lanes and it was not pleasant. The interior space of the buses are also narrower then the New Flyer 40 and 60 foot battery electric buses that Metro and other agencies have which is not good for a service that runs at high frequencies.

I thought there were standards for how big buses need to be. I know we used to run 45ft buses and you need exemptions to run buses longer than 60ft but space should have some standard.
