Any chance or are we just cooked?

Its pretty inevitable that this game in this state will eventually become outdated even with all the modding behind it if things remain like this. We're seeing it this year with new engines coming and a new track, Madring, wich idk if anyone is trying to work on. Now I have just heard that BYD sadly may be coming to F1, so. In the future, are we going to be able to have new engine sounds, new tracks, and a whole new team? I don't ask for certainty obv, but if it even thinkable as a project wich some skilled modders can embark in.

Possible, if more modding tool are made for UE5.

Probably not new tracks, I don’t think that is possible to code in game and even if it is, this is a small community so I doubt anyone would put in the time and effort it takes, currently still enjoying the game personally, I invent lots of new scenarios to play through so it keeps me occupied along with daily life activities, currently doing a real life play-through where I play the race weekend in concordance with irl weekends and see what changes, 2026 mod is fun and I think I saw someone making a new mod or something, so to answer you question, yes we probably won’t get new engine sounds, tracks etc, but we are definitely not cooked this is still a very active community and if you need ideas you can always ask

Frontier still plays a major role if they unsubscribe f1m from denuvo

I'm just gonna say, grand prix 4 is a very outdated Game that is still played. IS from 2002 for gods sake, and It has new tracks, mechanics, and more every single year with every single mod for plenty of different decades and seasons. I see this could be the future of f1 manager if modders and nerds keep working on It. I have no idea about moddint, but if I had, i'd be working right now on It, i can assure you. And theres people out there that know how to mod and with the same spirit.

Had this is in the 90s an early 00’s too. Couple of years of good manager games, then nothing for years.

Not related to the OPs question, but I'm rather shocked this game didn't continue on. With F1's popularity at an all time high, you'd think this game could be updated, made better and sell enough to make a profit. Anyway, I'm just honestly so bummed this game is no longer released every year, as F1 evolves. Sad. I REALLY enjoyed it, and because I'm on Xbox, I can't do any modding to even remotely update it.

F1 is very popular right now, but most of the people interested in it don't really care or even understand the engineering side and even strategy, let alone team management

vstrong50 2026-03-12 00:42

Yeah, I get it. Just thought if this game was viable financially when F1 had less fans, why it wouldn't be now....

calamari_fresh 2026-03-12 01:07

Yeah, I feel you. It is really annoying. F1 Manager 24 is the only game where I feel the whole F1 experience. It really immerses me in the "world of F1". More than the Codemasters games And it is especially bad since I play on console, so no mods

vstrong50 2026-03-12 01:10

Yeah, me too, I'm on console. I've been playing video games for 40yrs and I can't remember a solo game I got so into, as I did with F1 Manager. I was completely transfixed on it for 6 months. I haven't played it in a bit, but I totally would if it got updated, had new features, fixed some of the flaws etc. Argh.

Same here. They simply didn’t sell well enough to be profitable, which is a shame because I feel they’d increase in sales if they stuck in the market a few years and could easily pump out a slightly updated game each year for low cost.
