On my seal it's on the steering wheel

Joeseph392 2026-01-25 12:42

If it's a 2025+ model it doesn't have this feature unfortunately

Ok-Database-4624 2026-01-25 12:46

User-interface seems to be different too compared to my EU-model. All the way on the top right corner, are these "drive profiles" or something ?

ProLiteAD 2026-01-25 12:50

Swipe down from the top left or right

SexyDraenei 2026-01-25 12:52

unless you re-bind it to be a camera button :D

TheThickneySnowman 2026-01-25 12:56

Ah didn't know this

Apprehensive-Fan-721 2026-01-25 13:02

It is not

Apprehensive-Fan-721 2026-01-25 13:03

Everywhere i searched was said that all sealion models have it

WholeAnywhere466 2026-01-25 13:03

No rotation motor for 2026+ model

Kame_AU 2026-01-25 13:04

Please explain.

Valoneria 2026-01-25 13:11

They are discontinuing it, so it's unlikely yours have it. You can always try by voice command

DarkAngel_nl 2026-01-25 13:18

Just say byd rotate screen :-)

Apprehensive-Fan-721 2026-01-25 13:19

No i think its because its a chinese version

Apprehensive-Fan-721 2026-01-25 13:20

Tried to but didnt work either

Valoneria 2026-01-25 13:20

Then your model likely isn't equipped with it

doublebarrel-pinkeye 2026-01-25 13:29

They are profiles yeah. My Seal U (UK) got them in update 2.1 this week. Haven’t set them up yet but they seem promising. Looks like we can program seat memory and mirrors (and more) per profile so when you unlock the car with a cloud key, it will auto-switch. Particularly useful for me since my 5”5 wife seems to think she’s 4”5 and getting in the car after her is painful.

deed02392 2026-01-25 14:19

It’s on my steering wheel as well. Seal AWD.

Apprehensive-Fan-721 2026-01-25 14:47

I tried but it didnt work. Probably it doesnt have it.

ElectricalBroccoli79 2026-01-25 15:58

Mine doesn't have the rotated screen version. I like it in landscape anyway.

Valoneria 2026-01-25 16:39

If you have a dashcam, hold the button in for a while

Spiritual_Pangolin18 2026-01-25 17:07

Did they give any reason? I suppose they collect data about this and maybe not many people use it

Valoneria 2026-01-25 17:12

Not anything publicly, but given how little they supported it themselves, I'd imagine it's just a cost measure thing. Personally quite enjoyed it for the navigation app, the ratio is much better for navigation than landscape, but of course when they can't be arsed to make the support work in Auto or CarPlay I can't use it anyway 99% of the time

killer_B122 2026-01-25 19:10

Why? Useless feature?

TinyDemon000 2026-01-25 21:13

Can you remap the buttons ?!

xikinhu 2026-01-25 21:15

I’d say so. CarPlay and Android auto are not compatible with the screen in portrait mode. In my point of view, it’s just useless.

nonfamous 2026-01-25 21:15

I have the 2025 SeaLion 7 and the button is in the bottom-left corner of the display. I’ve had the car 6 months and have used it exactly once to see what it does. You’re not going to miss it.

xikinhu 2026-01-25 21:16

It’s on the user manual, BTW

Kame_AU 2026-01-25 21:20

Oh! And that does what? Take a still shot of the current view? Any advantage of doing this over just referencing the video? Not sure I quite get it yet.

Carmen_Bonkalot 2026-01-25 22:16

Rarely used feature, moat people only report using it when they first buy the vehicle, demonstrating to people that the screen rotates. It was a mostly unused feature which saves money to remove. AA and CP not working in portrate it was a big factor in this. If portrate mode allowes AA/ CP on top and then a resized desktop on the bottom (or vise versa) it would have been more utilised.

_Romanka_ 2026-01-25 23:39

What year model? The latest display does not turn on

VirtualBeyond6116 2026-01-26 05:44

I was so enamored with that feature when I first saw it. Then I only used it to to show it off to other people. Then, cause I've got a Samsung fold that requires a special phone mount, I can't even rotate it anymore.

Jedidiah__0326 2026-01-26 19:46

Try voice command

Nos_4r2 2026-01-26 23:32

On the Seal at least, you can remap the rotation button on the wheel to operate the OEM dashcam. I believe it's short press to capture a still and long press to lock the current video recording.

DurrrrrHurrrrr 2026-01-27 04:33

It’s nice to have the option, I like it when using waze but useless with polarised sunglasses and a feature I can definitely live without

Kame_AU 2026-01-27 06:27

I'm still confused regarding this. - What's the benefit of a still if you have the video anyway? - What does "lock" the video mean? Stops it from getting replaced by other footage or something?

Nos_4r2 2026-01-27 12:08

Yep, it locks the current video and saves it so it doesn't get overwritten by new footage.
