Planning to buying my first car, help me choose wisely!

Hello, not a car guy and know nothing about car technicalities. Still couldn't drive at the moment but planning to enroll in a driving school really soon. I'm planning to get a car as commute going to work is already such a hardwork which is 15km from home, ang hirap humanap ng masasakyan and ended up taking taxis nalang which is costly. Natipuhan ko mga crossovers and my bets are Toyota Corolla Cross and HRV. As a newbie I was thinking to get something that has 360 cam in it to help me get things novice drivers need such as how to park and whatnot but the HRV unfortunately doesn't have it to any of its variants. On the other hand, the Toyota Corolla Cross only offers it in their top of the line variant which is close to 2M already. The BYDs seem to be tempting but I was thinking of its reliability knowing they're relatively new in the PH market so I'm axing this option. Now my concern is that the price difference between the mid and top of the line CC variant reasonable enough for the added 360 cam? Or should I just get the mid variant and hoping that one day as I properly learn how to drive this feature wouldn't be as necessary as I thought?

Learn to drive first. Then test drive all your options. My first car had a 360 camera, and now I need it in all my future cars just because it's that useful to me.

Perfect sana ang full EV sayo like the BYD Seagull/Atto 3 since 15km lang yung travel mo. Reliable ang mga EV since they have less parts. With the current fuel prices, EVs are the best choice na talaga lalo na kung may option ka to install solar panels sa bahay.

Saka ka na mag-overthink kapag marunong ka na mag-drive. You can't be deciding if you can't even test drive your choices. 🤷 Test drive is a big factor when choosing a car. Everything else is just noise (people who have their own preferences of a car they will not be driving because it's you who will drive it). Learn to drive.

For me, sobrang mahal na nung CX GRS, ka price level na niya ang Zenix Hybrid and other entry mid-size SUV's. For a 360 cam - not worth the price for me. I bought the V variant of the CX, sulit siya coz I got the 200k discount. The tech is there, di papahuli wala lang talagang 360. Pero the CX is small in size naman so its not that challenging in parking and the front and back parking sensors are very helpful when space to maneuver in parking is tight. IMO, di naman gamitin sa pag-papark ang 360, parking is daunting at first but you will get used to it, with the side mirrors and reverse camera, goods na goods na siya. Mas gamitin ang 360 pag gitgitan na sa mga maliliit na daan, lalo na pag may mga nakapark sa gilid na nagpapasikip. Sa driving school tuturuan ka naman ng spatial awareness; also, you can ask your driving coach nung mga maneuver na di ka sure or may hesitation, he/she can definitely impart his experience. After mo mag Driving lessons, may mapagprapraktisan ka ba na lumang kotse? From your parents? Gamitin mo muna ng 1 month until you get the hang of driving then you can confidently decide if you would go with the top of the line variant for 360 cam. Mahal ang kotse, so better be sure na no regrets ka when making your purchase. Wala namang time pressure on your end so take your time to learn.

For a newbie, IMO much better to look for ADAS than a 360 cam. At 1.2M there's the Sonet SX and Honda City VX and RS. When parking, you can always take your time, even get out of your car and ikutan mo to look at how you're positioned from the outside para magalaw mo ng maayos. Pero when actually moving and driving, the ADAS will help you if your reflexes aren't fast enough to catch up to sudden braking or sudden crossings or notify you if you're drfting from your lane. For a crossover with 360 camera but cheaper than the Corolla Cross, there's also the Kicks VL variant and the Ford Territory Titanium. Both will be available at below 1.5M. If you're okay just getting a sedan instead of a crossover, the Nissan Almera Turbo has both ADAS and 360 camera for 1.2M.

ako ev or phev para sa akin. the question is nasaan ka nakatira bahay or condo? kung bahay masmadali sayo lapit pang eh 15 km ideal sa both mention ko since puwede mo icharge sa meralco scenario namin sa bgc to pasig hatid sunod sa asawa ko hybrid medyo malaki naman kasi 2.5L pinsan ni rav 4 phev. 7 to 14 km per L x mu na lang ng premium gas yan na. 600 to 900 php per week based kay chat gpt. pero kung ev or phev kaya yan 500 php per week malaki savings. puwede naman mag toyota yaris cross hybrid kasi maliit naman un ice niyan and first time mo rin so i suggest get mo lang yun tamang features. tamang features like ano lang need mo un sunroof hindi mo magagamit sa una lang yan. maganda sa hev type katulad ng yaris cross or zenix. range anxiety mawawala pero tipiran masok yan ng mga malalayo or highway na walang traffic dadaanan mo. mga 30km above 1 way. byd seal 5, sealion 5 or 6 or mga chinese car ang dami niyan and nissan kicks pa pala reliability sa akin reset tingin ko ill wait for 5 to 10 yrs dito natin malalaman kung iiyak mga ev and phev user from japanese to chinese

KIA Sonet SX or Suzuki Fronx SGX Madaming safety features both that can help a newbie. Pero yeah, learn to drive muna since matagal ang TDC and PDC

Go for the cheaper option as a 1st car, kalaunan naman kasi papalitan mo din yan or mag upgrade. Para less ang investment.
