Looks better when the lights are on.. I should have taken a better pic (with proper background too) but I was too busy enjoying driving it :)

"Feels like a driver's car indeed" and it's a 2.3 tonne SUV, hmm... Thanks for this very authentic non paid for post OP. Serious question - why on earth would anyone (not on a salary sacrifice scheme) buy this for £60k+ when in 2-3 years they will be worth less than half that? Almost certainly this will lose £10k a year in depreciation alone.

it is very authentic and very non paid (like BMW would lower themselves to pay a nobody to write on this VERY IMPORTANT reddit group LOL), believe it or not, your choice. And mate.. who cares about what the car is worth in 4 years, just lease it if you can cover the monthly, simples

This post just screams every man has a price.

The specs are staggering but so is £65,000.
It's also got a fugly, aggressive front.
I worry my i3 is too aggressive looking, let alone this ix3 warship!

It's too ugly though and very expensive. And it is extremely ghastly

You realize lease prices cover the depreciation?

It doesn't seem likely BMW would pay for this post, but this has to be one of the most inauthentic things I have ever read. It reads exactly like a paid ad. At least it doesn't read like AI I guess.
Yes, good idea, lease forever, you will own nothing and be a happy consoomer. Doing a quote on BMW website on the absolute lowest spec IX3 with no options over 4 years for 10k miles annually comes out to £42,600. To rent this fucking monstrosity it's £10,600 per year. You will be able to buy it for £25k in 4 years and if you sell in another 4 years might only lose £10k - £15k instead of forty fucking thousand.

Is it just me, but in grey or black and with the lights on it looks uncomfortably like German WW2 uniforms

No thanks.
0-60 times for me are pointless to me as most EV's will have a quick time anyways.
A drivers car being a 2.3T SUV, is this what it has become now? Probably another reason as too never part with my 205 GTi

I simply cannot believe an iX3 is a drivers car. I'm sure its fast, comfy and full of kit, but not a drivers car.

I do know how leasing works, yes, you are still paying a shitload of depreciation it just means the cost to you is fixed, not that you're somehow getting away with it. The prices by the way are £10.6k PER YEAR for 10k miles over 48 months, £42,600 total to rent it for 4 years. It's £59k to just buy the thing. I certainly wouldn't call £42.6k covering the depreciation

Lovely bit of kit but bloody expensive- Had a similar experience last year when looking at EVs for my work commute. Ended up going with salary sacrifice through the company and its genuinely saved me about £350/month compared to personal finance. The Electric Car Scheme handled everything- spoke to HR, sorted the paperwork, even bundled in maintenance and breakdown cover. Only downside is I'm locked in for 3 years, but if you're planning to keep the car anyway the tax savings are solid and make it more affordable for a car like this! Might be worth seeing if your employer would consider setting something up if they haven't already. It's a great money saver when looking at expensive EVs.

I’m sal saccing too! :) from the £1200 package (including insurance, VED, maintenance, tyres windshield etc) I actually pay around £700

Well, it depends on your definition of what a drivers car is. For me, it’s exactly that: comfortable and quiet when I need it, fast nippy and composed when I want it

I know.. I hate black cars with black windows and black chrome. Also looks like Darth Vader helmet lol :) my (ordered) config is much nicer [https://configure.bmw.co.uk/en\_GB/configid/mbk2upd8](https://configure.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/configid/mbk2upd8)
