I must have seen 6 or 8 in Brisbane today, they were everywhere

Wonder if we'll ever see a full EV version of it, think it would do great here in Norway.

Indeed they are. A lot of BYD to be honest. I almost got Sealion 7. But I’m getting Cupra

mhummel 2026-01-23 11:39

> But I’m getting Cupra Do you mind elaborating why? I don't know anything about Cupra except that they look quite nice ;)

IvanMatin 2026-01-23 14:55

This is exactly why. Also is same as Sealion 7 with a minor difference. The main reasons I chose Cupra was the design and it has a bigger trunk capacity, looks more sporty and it’s kind of rare in Brisbane. Haven’t seen many

The wife wants one. We know at least 2 friends (so far) that have 1. The biggest drawback is the sheer size of the thing - when parked in our tandem carport only 1 side is getting in/out of the beast.

I hope it becomes available in Spain soon... European brands are trembling.

Ojalá, pero tristemente BYD España queda muy limitada con que puede traer y que no de China.
