I finally tested the app after buying the recommended adapter cables, and I can confirm that it does work. I was able to connect my iPhone 16, stream content from apps like Netflix, and also use full phone mirroring. Overall, the image quality is good and perfectly watchable. That said, the app is not 100% stable yet. Sometimes, if you exit the app and reopen it, it fails to reconnect to the signal and you need to retry or restart the connection. As expected, it only works while the car is parked. So, not perfect, but definitely usable if you’re aware of its limitations.

Can you use the app while driving or do you have to be in P?

No, it closes in 10 seconds if you drive. It has to be in P

When I open BYD store, I find a total of 5 available Apps (!) Among these are Spotify, YouTube, Maps and some stupid game. There's no BYD Cast App available (?)

Well, if it’s available in the BYD App Store, I would assume it’s official. Last week, when I installed it, I also created a post here on Reddit to ask for more information, but it was removed by the subreddit moderators. I’m not entirely sure why, as it appears to be an official app rather than a sideloaded one.

I think an adapter of some type may need to be purchased, but will update really want sentry mode to be honest

I have tried installing but have to downgrade and install and I have no idea where to find the software to downgrade Seal U to install it and then upgrade again

From memory, I believe I used the instructions and firmware available from [this site ](https://www.eletroenzo.com/pt/downloads/updates)on my Seal Excellence. Worked great for me but, obviously, proceed at your own risk...

I tried my nintendo switch but I couldnt make it work...

I don't think it works like that. Just put the right temperature and the car will take the same amount of time to heat. Am I wrong?

I'm in Brazil and this app just came out last week. Couldnt make it work with any device tho

yeah lets you stream to the screen apparently. I have been meaning to give it a try with the hdmi-usb stuff i have before buying another one. might be handy for a dual monitor setup when working on laptop in car.

btw the app is subscription based now, but price seems to be reasonable

Nevermind, the app is available here in Australia in my Dolphin. Just need to buy the cable

I spotted this app last week but only did the firmware update 2 days ago. Also UK.

Do you reckon this confirms that they won’t be allowing/adding screen mirroring via CarPlay, as included in iOS 26?

In other cases, I had to unplug and reconnect the adapter and the cable. Based on what the actors in the TV series say during the glitch, it even sounds like they agree that the app is still usable. 🤣🤣🤣
