Charging annoying

Does anyone else find it frustrating that there is no mileage on this screen? It just shows the percentage. I have to use the app to see the milage

Yup same on my SL7 unfortunately (and the app doesn’t update very well either). Software is one place BYD is quite behind others like BMW I find, missing features, illogical layout, regularly used settings buried deep within the menus etc, but at least most of these can be fixed with a good overhaul of the software system and interface. I also find the onboard charger is inefficient with charging losses of about 11-13% compared to 5-7% I used to get on my old BMW and that it only charges at 6.9kW (30A) instead of the max 7.4kW (32A), a small issue but when you’re charging at home makes all the difference as to how much charge you can get in overnight at the cheap rate.

Yeah I plugged into a 170kw charger and even thought their was another car charging next to me the car charged at 70kw the whole time .. not at it's full charging capacity

I prefer %. The distance is not a precise measurement.

It looks that it is also behind VW, which was very much criticized because of the software.

The thing I find most annoying (with my SL7, at least) is that there’s no way to stop the charging from within the car. My home DC charger doesn’t have a button on the handle, so I have to manually cancel the charge from my battery app before I can leave the house. (You physically cannot remove the DC charger from the port when the charge is active.) I haven’t charged at a public charger yet — do all charging stations have a way to cancel the charge from the station? What do SL7 owners do if they don’t?

Home DC Charger? Do you have the Sigenergy EVDC charger then?

Yep, with a 40Kw battery and solar. Never have to pay for electricity for charging, which is nice.

I’ve got the Sigenergy Battery as well but as mine is in the basement I’ve not got the EVDC but use a Zappi instead.

> there’s no way to stop the charging from within the car I know this is hacky but have you tried setting a charging schedule that excludes the current time? eg if it's 13:11, go to "smart charging" and set the end time to 13:00.

I apologise I have the SL7.

This is exactly what I need -- I use Apple Home for all my automation. How did you add the SigEnergy system to Home?

Ah, got it, sorry.
