CCS2 to GBT adapters reliable?

Funny_Translator1347 | 2026-01-17 00:10 | 29 views

Hey guys. I just bought a CCS2 to GBT adapter for fast charging. Haven’t used it yet. I also have the adapter for slow charging. Haven’t used it either. I’m not comfortable undergoing a long trip without testing it thoroughly. Ending up far away from home and charging stations not working with the adapter seems like a fearsome scenario. What’s your experience with it? P.S. These adapters allow charging China-domestic cars exported abroad to be charged on European charging stations.

Fast charging at what charging speed?

I bought mine from a reseller in alibaba (850 USD) as a sample order back in 2024. I have the 250a version with the universal firmware already. Never needed to update the firmware from the seller as it never had issue with any of the CCS2 DC chargers in my country (Philippines). It has a replaceable 18650 battery inside to power the adapter. Already did around more than 60 DC charging sessions and it is still working fine to this date.
