So i know the is is a repeated topic, but seriously I am lost on which car to get. I went to test drive all three, and have been doing extensive research and here is my thoughts so far. First G700 Good: 1. Car size and looks are pretty amazing 2. All screens inside the cabin are cool, especially the horizontal one replacing the HUD 3. Car is fast with very good isolation 4. Price is good Bad (personal observation & from research) 1. Build quality inside I don’t personally see it the best 2. That 130 km speed limit on flagship is a mystery to me 3. 6 seater is not for me 4. Several ppl highlighted issues with software glitches and skeptical reliability of the air suspension on long run Second Denza B8 Good: 1. Build quality is all good especially inside and it’s really comfortable 2. Car is extremely responsive and i really like the software from what i saw and the research done 3. 7 seater😘 4.Suspension is more reliable and BYD knows what they are doing Bad (personal observation & from research) 1. No HUD on 7 seater which i felt is needed for such a big car 2. Missing some features compared to Chinese version. However, they don’t seem that major to me 3. No rear entertainment screens 4. Logo looks like it was designed by a student in 4th grade Last 2025 Patrol LE platinum (USED) 10k km Good: 1. Build quality and reliability of course 2. Resell value is like you have money in the bank 3. Extremely comfortable 4. 7 seater 😘 5. You can trust that suspension Bad (personal observation) 1. Price is obviously higher and doesn’t seem to offer the vast amount of features the other two do. I feel this is compensated with the resell value & social stature of the car 2. Screen is smaller of course and out of all 3 cars, Denza was the best in terms of responsiveness and speed 3. Not fuel economy of course Overall while patrol has less bad things compared to other two, i believe there are major things tbh. I am leaning towards Denza mainly because I feel i trust it second after Patrol, but honestly would appreciate the feedback here as well.

Whichever made you feel the best while driving and sitting inside for longer is the one you should consider first. Tech and other novelties fade very quickly

Here the main competition is between Denza and Patrol. Patrol is proven over decades but in the end it depends on how good you felt driving it. Test drive only the trim level you intend to purchase.

Genuine question - Patrol really has good resale in general? I thought it depreciates worse than Toyota and better than Germans. Also, since you test drove all - How was the body roll in Patrol Vs B8?

This is a good point. I'm also on thr same situation considering the denza however have heard multiple comments regarding the body roll. Would this be an issue?

I test drove the G700 and Patrol platinum, back to back. And the patrol felt much much nicer overall. If I were to pick, I'd go with the Patrol solely on how lively and planted it felt. I am yet to try the B8 but having sat in one, the interior felt okay to me

I'd go for patrol. It's simply the best in terms of emergency off roading as well. And patrol can squeeze 8 people. Again, great to have in an emergency. Social stature is good and so is the resale value. Also the more tech and features the Chinese cars have, the sooner they're gonna glitch. It's just isn't perfect yet imo. I'd just rather wait till the Chinese cars become as popular as mainstream brands and then seriously consider one.

Anything compared to the Toyota has worse resale value haha. But yeah patrols do have great resale, just not as much as toyota or lexus.

It's a non compete. B8 all day. Drives like an EV has the long range of an ICE. Power. Extras. Unless you are towing around Australia there is no question about it, B8.

1. Go to what your heart desires. 2. If your heart desires all the 3, check how much you’ll get when you resell it 5 - 8 years down the line. Mostly Patrol will save you tons of money including the fuel cost when you compare the resell value to the other two.

Down the road when you will sell patrol you will get reasonable money back comparatively to other 2 for which I am guessing you will get 30 to 40% at best back of the price you paid
