Comes back at end of lease. If that much of a change consider re-doing the budgets to more realistic figures as anything coming back Is taxed

And works the other way too, if under budget may have to adjust upwards or owe at the end. We over budgeted for km/fuel use at start of lease as at the time fuel price was low, worked out about even by the end of lease with increases in insurance cost, fuel price and a decrease in service cost due to a similar situation as OP.
