Hi all. Hertz presidents circle member. Just rented in Germany Had booked a N5 Volvo XC40 or similar, and got “upgraded” to a BYD SEAL U DMI. Now renting in the UK. Booked a T6 Mercedes E Class SW or similar. Getting a BYD L SEAL 6 DMI. Are these equivalent cars to what was booked, or even upgrades? Thank you!

Have you driven a BYD? As somebody who lives where they aren’t on the market I would like to. Reviews of the seal are very complimentary and really the Volvo XC40 is also a Chinese vehicle (in Swedish clothes) so I’d say you are doing just fine in the BYD.

I'd say the seal U is equivalent or slightly upgrade from the xc40 due to its size? But seal 6 to a E class? That's a downgrade smh

The BYD SEAL U is an upgrade from the XC40…. Its larger. The Seal 6 to me is a downgrade because less expensive and not the same presence on the road as a Mercedes. However to me, it’s totally equivalent.
